Johnson lake is a great family getaway. While we were at the lake last weekend the Dawson's fair was in town and we checked that out Saturday night which was very fun. Everyone in the surrounding towns were very friendly too. Johnson lake also has a beach, I haven't gone to the beach but I drove by on the jet ski and boat several times and it usually looked pretty busy. I was so tired at the end of the weekend, I was always doing something while I was there. I feel like if I didn't have a boat or jet ski I would not have had as much fun so that's something to consider when you go to the lake. Even if you don't have either, it's still a rest place for swimming or relaxing!
