The…read morepermanent exhibition on the 3rd floor is worth seeking out; 25 scale models of important settlements throughout history. Although I didn't necessarily agree with all of the choices (a few of the buildings in Frankfurt were included, inevitably), the detail that went into making them is incredible. On the day I visited, the ground floor had an exhibition about permeable architecture that blew my mind. It featured scale models, plans and photographs of buildings in Singapore and Asia, where the idea is to have them festooned with trees, shrubbery and artificial lakes, as though nature had reclaimed the buildings for themselves. It was all a bit too much Planet of the Apes for my liking.
