I was negatively spoken about by the firm while I was going through one of the most traumatic times of my life with the divorce, criminal case, and lay-off while on FAMLI leave. My attorney missed our initial ISC, blaming her paralegal for the mistake. No prep or info on what to expect was received or discussed. This caused months of delays because of her failure to show up. My attorney called me at 11pm on a Friday night to discuss a case that was not mine. After numerous attempts to be reassigned to a senior attorney, I was ignored and baited by my attorney to continue to work with her in the interim. After submitting my request to vacate representation with Harris, motions were filed incorrectly and it took more than two weeks for my new attorney to receive my file (noting a month from orig request). I made numerous attempts to work with Harris, and their We Care Team, regarding the issues of my case with no empathy, understanding, or accountability for how my case was handled. Disappointed does not even come close to my feelings and thoughts on how my case was handled. Unfortunately, Harris only cares about the $13k I was billed before we even went to mediation due to the inexperience of my assigned attorney.

I was contacted by Jan who had been trying to reach me for over a week (due to me transposing a number for my cell phone) and she was so amazing at providing an overview of how the practice works and what to expect. She has a calming and empathetic way of handling clients and is a great Segway into what to expect after. Jan set an appointment with Matt about a week out who specializes in HOA issues (and had great reviews and feedback on the internet) so I was excited to get some expert feedback on what I should do. Matt called me on the dot for our scheduled appointment and immediately had a way of making me feel at ease -meaning I wasn't worried he was a shady attorney who will tell you anything to get you to put down a retainer. In fact, he did the opposite. He took the time to walk through each of my concerns, provided info on what I need to have on hand to build a case if I wanted, and also was able to reference Colorado laws. He also is the type to admit he might not be the expert in a certain field but could definitely find you one who was.
