Normally when doing a review I like to do it in two parts, 1. What happened/The service and then 2. My opinion, however on this occasion i will do it in reverse to save you time reading.
Avoid at all costs, the service is terrible, the training not much better. From start to finish it was one screw up after another. The instructors like to use colourful language and have little patience for people trying to learn a new skill.
So what actually happened? Well I showed up at 8:00 for an 8:30 start, made a cup of tea and relaxed a bit before the cbt started. There was four people in my group to one instructor which would have made it difficult in the confined space of the training area, this problem was eased slightly when, at 9:00, they discovered that they did not have enough helmets in the right size for everyone, I was then left to sit on my own waiting for another helmet to arrive. My helmet arrived at 11:20 and I was sent out to catch up with the training that was already in place, at 12:30 i was told time was up and that i had not met the requirements to go on the road, i wasn't surprised considering everyone else had an extra 2 hours and 20 minutes to practise and get it right.
I asked for a refund or partial refund, as I felt extremely short changed at the length of time I was actually given as training, only to be told that they do not do refunds as the course had gone ahead. The people in charge refused to see my side that it was their shortage of equipment that had led to the shorter time and not my fault. Basically i had paid £125 for 1 hour and 10 minutes of training.
I have contacted trading standards about this as Don't think it is fair to put people in that position and will be taking it further to get my money back. As I said avoid at all costs there are much better places to do your cbt as I discovered at my own cost. read more
