Having recently moved to Oberursel I needed a good coffee place…read more Cafe Klatsch looked very promising; great location, lovely ambiance, friendly staff... ok food high prices stale cake and really really really dull coffee Germany does so much so well, but why are so many 'Cafes' still serving the lifeless coffee that kept my forefathers awake at their factory jobs. For a pleasant place to sit with an enjoyable hot chocolate, fine, but for decent coffee keep going down the pedestrian zone to the little coffee roastery on the left.

Cheers and tables are all around the place, vintage style, you can also find some mirrors and lamps hanging on the trees. They offer also some soups, quiches and cakes. Yumm yumm yumm

It looks like a proper countryside British cafe with nice cakes and things on display. The cups and plates they use here also remind me of the gorgeous English teahouses with proper China :-) The coffee was good and the carrot cake was also quite good. They serve breakfast till 3pm most days and there is a choice of drinks including daily pressed fresh juices. I wish they used a bit of ice or cool the juice they make everyday as it was a bit too warm to enjoy. You order at the counter and the food comes out pretty quickly. The staff are very friendly and nice and also speak English in case your German is poor. A gorgeous cafe I would happily come back to any day specially for Sunday brunch. They do have some vegan and lactose free options if you so desire. Prices are reasonable and sitting outside on a warm day is really nice indeed :-)
