They operate a sandwich and juice counter during breakfast and lunch periods, which is popular with many of the workers and school children in the area - though not for its quality per se rather its convenience. For its size, the range on offer is seriously impressive and high quality - in the refrigerated section you'll find homemade pasta sauces, desserts, deluxe greek yoghurt topped with fresh passionfruit, while up the front there's every kind of dried pasta imaginable alongside all manner of nuts and dried fruits. I used to live in the area and knew I could always find pretty much anything on my grocery list here. But after a more recent pit stop, it seems some of the prices have been inflated a little too much - a bunch of baby broccoli (say, 250 grams worth) was $4.50, while a small container of takeaway tiramisu (homemade, and extremely delicious as it turned out, mind you) was a whopping $13. I'd stick to farmers' markets to do the bulk of your shopping - save visits to this place for your extra bits and emergency items.

Full of your daily grocery needs, milk, bread, pies, ice creams, bus tickets, movies. They have everything. It's more of a convenience store rather than a corner shop. Though corner shops can be and often are convenient and so perhaps the two are indistinguishable. I'm confusing myself, so I'll wrap this up. Jim's Deli is a little pricey, but you're paying for the convenience like you do at all corner shops. The people behind the counter are a little abrupt, but altogether kind hearted and a part of the community. It's where I buy my Callipo's in the summer.
