CSA OR CUSTOMER SERVICE ALL-STAR MICHELLE

Came here with a friend after quite an excursion near the USC area and museum area. As a result of a good deal of walking around and taking in numerous sites and exhibitions, we worked up a pretty good appetite. We decided to split the seafood platter with more than enough left for a third person. We both opted for small gumbos which were sizeable and delicious as well. CSA (customer service All Star) Elijah-pictured, took care of us. Well not as flamboyant as some servers, his calm, steady, and pleasant demeanor was a welcome change-up to what had already been a somewhat hectic day filled with museum going s trotting back and forth, and let's face it, dealing with the public at large at the IMAX and other locations down the street. All in all, a solid experience. Thanks Elijah! Your credit to the Harold and Belle's brand!

I liked it. Inside is simple and a bit dark but plenty of tables. The bar section has some TVs to watch a game. Came in for the Dine LA meal. It was good! The fried oysters and fish were delicious. I liked the lighter, thinner batter on the fish. I liked the red beans and jambalaya too. The beignets were just ok though. They also have a decent happy hour in the bar section from 3-6. Would definitely come back to try more. Service was good. Friendly staff. Shout-out to PJ for holding down the whole bar section on his own. There's a small valet lot in front for $10. There's some street parking but you might have to walk a block or two.

Pretty decent food, I normally get the catfish and shrimp platter but decided to try the chicken and waffles this time since I came for brunch. I won't get the chicken and waffles again. Sweet tea is good, chargrilled oysters are good, some of the better ones outside of NoLa. Beignets are awful and absolutely not beignets at all. Great service though.

Enjoyed a happy hour visit the other day. Harold and Belle's is still that place, decades later. The food is delicious, the drinks are tasty and the ambiance is grand. Service was spectacular.

If you like Creole and Cajun food, this is the place for you! I came here the week after Thanksgiving for an extended birthday dinner. It was definitely the right choice! My group chose Jambalaya, Shrimp Po'Boy, Salmon, and Clam Chowder (it wasn't on the menu, it might have been the soup of the day). Nicole was our sever and she was very nice and friendly, our table was kind of "tight" with all the food and drinks we ordered, she quickly checked and was able to push another table together. The restaurant is small, I was surprise we could grab two tables, it really made a difference. Nichole brought warm bread for us to share while we waited for our entrees. My Cajun Salmon came with two sides, I tried the Red Beans n Rice and Mac n Cheese. The portions were good, I had leftovers for lunch the next day. ' Just as we were about to leave, she asked us to wait, I wasn't sure why. A plate of warm beignets were given to us for no extra charge, it was a birthday treat from the restaurant. This was another item that was not on the menu. Make sure to ask if there are specials, you might be able to try something different. Yum yum, bring me back for more!!! Sincerely, Rosemary

Given my love for all things NOLA, Harold & Belle's has been on my radar for quite some time. This family-owned eatery was established in 1969 and has been serving the community ever since, albeit under new ownership. Finally, the perfect opportunity arrived! On our way home from SoFi after seeing the Saints play the Rams, Mom & I wanted a bite to eat and this was the perfect spot to keep the Crescent City vibes rolling. I noticed several high-end cars in the small parking lot as we entered. We received a warm & friendly welcome from the darling gals at the host area. We asked to sit in the lounge and were escorted to a table. The bar was packed with lively patrons, some were even wearing Saints jerseys. Our sever had an upbeat personality. We wanted the Fried Crab Cakes but they were out, so we got the Jumbo Fried Shrimp and a side of fries to shares. We both ordered a Creole 75 to go with. While waiting for our food we enjoyed the complimentary warm bread. The jumbo shrimp were plump and juicy and fried to perfection. The fries were exceptionally good, and our cocktails were refreshing. I'd like to come back and experience a sit-down meal here in the dining room.

I've been hearing about Harold & Belle's since I was a little kid my mom used to go all the time but I didn't finally try it myself until my 40s. And honestly, it lived up to the hype. The food is absolutely amazing. It's a small, long-standing spot with a lot of history, and you can taste that in the food. The charbroiled oysters are to die for my first time having them, they were packed with flavor and seasoning. The second time, they were still really good, just not quite as flavorful as that first experience. The red snapper plate w/ shrimp is so good, and the mac and cheese surprised me because I'm not even a big mac and cheese person, but I actually really enjoyed it. Even the Caesar salad stands out super fresh and flavorful. Another thing I love is that the food always comes out hot and fresh, which makes a big difference. Service is impressive too. Even when it's crowded (and it usually is), they're attentive and get to you pretty quickly, which I appreciate. The only downside is parking it's honestly kind of a hassle. It's either valet or street parking, and most of the time you'll end up parking a bit far and walking. Not the best, but manageable. Overall, I've already been twice within a couple of months, and I can't wait to go back again. Definitely worth it.

Came to Harold & Belles for dinner with a friend on a Saturday evening. We had a table in the bar area. The food was amazing, we had charbroiled oysters, gumbo, fried catfish with a side of spinach and a side of mac-n-cheese. Everything we ate was great and we would want to go back again for dinner. The service was terrible. We had 5 different people who passed by, we didn't have any dedicated person who was checking on us so we had to just catch whoever was walking past to ask for water refills, more of the delicious French bread to eat with our oysters, condiments to go with our food like hot sauce and napkins. It was a challenge and each person seemed annoyed that we were asking for things. In particular the server with red curly hair would just walk past and refused to even stop and look at us as we asked for water or napkins. I don't know who was supposed to help us, but we were close to just getting up to help ourselves. Also, there was a mistake made. Before our food came out someone accidentally sat another persons order of snapper and fries on our table. We thought it was our catfish and started eating. Someone abruptly walked over and said this isn't yours and just took the plate of food we were eating from! If I return here, I would try sitting away from the bar to see if the service was any better.

After looking at the menu here and there on several occasions, the bestie and I finally gave Harold & Belle's a go. Over all the food was delicious.. by the way, I even tried those charbroiled oysters the bestie ordered which I never eat & they were very good. The key is to take some leftover bread and dip in the oyster juice & seasoning that's left on the shell. . Fried chicken wings were good could've been a little more meaty, but the taste was there, the shrimp and fried red snapper were tasty and was enough leftover to take some home. Sides were good, especially the red beans and rice and jambalaya, the mac & cheese was good and I can't complain about the potato salad either. Service was good. Front desk was a lotta busy, but she handled it. Our waitress Nicole was pleasant and on point, and the gentleman server was friendly and made us feel at home. Ambience was chill, the sounds of everybody having fun new year eve conversations, and we had our own little table tucked in the corner and people watching just enough. I was visiting down from the bay, and we usually try different restaurants, but will definitely be back with the other bestie. I'll give this place 4 yumms with a side of them red beans and rice is nice please!!!

Today was a very good visit to one of our favorite places. We were greeted immediately and quickly seated. Our server was Elijah who did an EXCELLENT job. He took care of all our needs. Everything we ordered was perfect and delicious. The charbroiled oysters were a total hit at our table. Excellent service from everyone and GREAT ambiance for a Saturday afternoon.

Harold & Belle's is the next best thing to being in NOLA. With the best Creole dishes in LA and a newly added jazz brunch, you need to check out their menu. Filé Gumbo: The flavors are on point. Dark roux provides a caramelized and nutty flavor base. The sassafras powder has an almost citrusy taste. This gumbo contains generous amounts of meat and seafood. The shrimp is tender. With plenty of sausage and tender ham, the soup's complex flavors keep multiplying. The juicy chunks of chicken are satisfying. Use the cracker to break open the sweet and briny meat of the bike crab. Parking: There's valet and street parking in the neighboring residential area.

The food here is fantastic! Service is friendly, drinks are poured generously. Ordered some jambalaya, red beans, fried chicken and some mac, all perfecto and supremely satisfying! Place was packed with locals, vibe was very chill. I can't stress enough how delicious the food was! I was in heaven!

Haven't had much creole food but my trip last year to New Orleans made me search for spots in LA. Head this spot was one of the best. Didn't have much of an appetite because this was the 3rd spot of the day but still had to try the charbroiled oysters and the etouffee fries. The fries were amazing. The oysters however were just ok. Of course I had to get a hurricane. I will definitely be back to try the gumbo, jambalaya and the red beans and rice.
