Recently purchased a vehicle from them. I pointed out a few issues with the vehicle. Was told service department looked at items and couldn't do anything about them. Got home and fixed the rattle in the dash that was unfixable. I'm waiting on key fobs. Found a few more issues with the vehicle. Save your money and purchase a vehicle from somewhere else. Not good. Several visits and several issues: -Asked about getting new tires and they just printed a list of three options and sent me on my way, didn't want to take time to talk it out with me. -Also had to bring car in for a recall issue, and they made me bring the car in to "look at it" before they'd schedule to fix it, then brought in to fix it, and they did the replacement but broke a clip, so I had to drive back again for a new appointment, which got cancelled last minute. I live an hour from them and asked about them spotting me some gas money because I will now have driven 8 unnecessary hours all because of them- and was told I'd have to talk to a manager, so I asked if the manager could call me, and so far no call. -my wife also took her car here as well, any time she tried to call to get updates, they'd say they were "on lunch" and took forever to get a simple job done. -we also stopped by to look at purchasing a car, and when we said we wanted to look at used cars and not buy a new one, we were essentially dismissed. -harr has had many chances to change my opinion, and all they do is reinforce it read more

BE VERY CAREFUL ABOUT ANY USED VEHICLE PURCHASE . Had a very negative experience with them. I recently purchased a Honda Odyssey from them, and during my talks with the salesman, I let him know that I generally like to have a mechanic look at cars before I buy them. He told me that he didn't think there was a need for that, since they have their guys look at it, and they had already done some repairs for the check engine light. Seeing as they had generally positive reviews, I took his word for it. Upon receiving the car, it had to be jump started the next day. Within probably 10-20 miles of driving the car, the check engine light comes on. So I took it to a mechanic and there were about $4000 worth of repairs to be done on it (The car only cost $6000). So I called them and explained the situation to them, and after all I was told, the sales manager explained that used cars are NOT actually mechanically inspected prior to selling them. Convenient that they waited till after I bought it to make that clear by word of mouth. If you're looking for used cars in SD, I would avoid them, but at the very least get the car looked at before buying it since they will not fix anything after it is sold. read more

So far I am not too impressed with Harr motors in Aberdeen, We bought our vehicle on Saturday and yesterday is when service lights started turning on...so they must have shut them all off for just enough time for the vehicle to get 100 miles off of the lot before they turned back on...I would not recommend to anyone! We took the vehicle in this morning to get it checked out after paying for the vehicle in full off the lot on September 13th 2014. Today is September 15th 2014 and the place where we took our car to get it checked out said that we have to get the All wheel drive fixed, the ABS fixed the sensors on most everything on the vehicle, the check engine light also came on! We even test drove the vehicle before buying it and the light didnt start turing on until yesterday September 14th 2014 Exactly ONE day after buying the vehicle. This is not a dealership this is a junk yard and these people play dirty!!! One bad review makes a huge difference just remember this considering we were told we have "no rights since we bought this vehicle as is" Mind you our family has bought 6 vehicles from this business and was willing to buy more eventually had there not been issues with us. Sincerly a very angry customer who is going to make sure everyone knows about how poorly we have been treated! read more

Purchased a new Nissan from this dealership and the experience was very good. Later, when returned for service ..... well, their so-called 'service department' is a first class joke! They must have hired their service people from the worse of the flunkies from grade school. After several attempts of getting qualified service from their service department, the results were most UN-satisfactory. Hence, excellent service has been completed at a non-dealership service center. It was decided to NEVER return to Harr Motors for any serviced ever and that has proven to be a very good decision. read more

I don't know about the sales department, but the service department is absolutely terrible!!!! They refused to cover a repair covered under warranty. The vehicle sat there for over a month while they made up their mind. 2 months after i paid over $1,000 myself to have it fixed, i get a letter in the mail from Honda stating they're extending the warranty due to problems like mine (mine was still under warranty). But Harr's denied it, so i'm screwed, Honda wont' do anything. They're very arrogant. Ok, i'm done venting now. read more

Beware I bought a 2012 Camry listed on eBay initially and then when I called they removed the car and I bought the Camry. When I received car I noticed damage on front bumper,nothing major but work had been done . The bottom line is they refused to acknowledge that any damage was done . The car was certified by them and subsequently I had two Toyota dealers say there was prior work done on bumper,not sure why. Just beware. read more

Bought a 2007 Yukon from them. 1.5 months later had to replace a filter canaster. 5 mos later found out that because the rims were replaced with the wrong size all the ball joints have to be replaced and front drivers side strut needs to be replaced. Now I have to pay an extra $2000 to fix, and probably have to pay for new rims to fix the problem. I called, emailed and stopped in for assistance, and no response. They think if they don't reply that I'll go away. read more

BEWARE!!!! Bought a used Ford Fusion the very next day the check engine light came on called the company they told me to take it to a shop. I did. It was the transmission . I called again and was told that they would take the repair bill off of what I owe. So got it fixed and then traded it in. Harr motors would not release the title and i was told I needed to pay them the 850 that I was told I didn't have to pay. The lady was very rude and showed no concern except to get their money. This place takes advantage of people and then there is no service after the sale. This could have been a great review. read more
