Biscuit

Harriette's for sure holds the crown as the muffin (wo)man The four muffins we tried were all delicious but if we had to rank them the order would be cappuccino mocha(new muffin) Key lime coconut, Carrot Cake, Blueberry. I can't express enough that all the muffins above are top tier and I'll be thinking about these muffins until I'm able to go back and try more flavors. Side note I would pass on the biscuit as I found it to be too dry. Service was quick and efficient. Staff was very friendly. It's a small quaint restaurant that has the island charm. Must stop if you are traveling to Key Largo or passing through to the other keys.

These biscuits are even bigger than you can imagine. And they actually are delicious. They are fluffy and not dry. I ate max half of it though, couldn't get through it all. The muffins are also very delicious. The coconut key lime pie was SO delicious and moist. The guava cream cheese was also very good. It wish it had more guava taste. Need to go back to try more. The eggs were not really good, didn't really have any flavor. Went on a Sunday at like 11 am and was just a 10 min wait for two people.

10/10 gem in key largo, I got the crab omelette, and ordered 4 muffins to go. Got a chance to try the pineapple upside down muffin (my mom ordered this) and it was so delicious I wish I could ask them for the recipe! The biscuits are HUGE btw. I would definitely return here to try lunch/dinner. The inside is comfortable, cozy, and feels authentic. Severs are attentive and kind.

Wow. Some people would drive right by without looking twice at Harriette's but they'd be missing out on exceptional food in a quaint and friendly environment. I highly recommend and will be back every time I visit the area. Pro tip: order muffins to go for later!

I stopped at Harrietts on my drive down to the keys and would highly recommend you make the stop. They have over 30 muffin flavors to choose from. Our favorites were the corn muffin and peanut butter chip. They are a generous size and not dry at all. The employees are also very friendly and welcoming. This is a must stop on your way down to the keys!!

Nope nope. Keep going. This is one of the worst places i have ever eaten. There is a waffle house close keep going. Cold fries. Instant potatoes.. oh god the linguini alfrafo tasted like paste. Super nice staff. Great service. The food tho... I took 2 grape jellies from the table and went back home and made english muffins.

This is honestly a perfect diner. The food is simple and good. The service is nice. Decent coffee. But the thing to get here is most definitely the muffins. So far I've had carrot cake and banana nut - and they were DELISH. I definitely recommend toasting them because it takes the flavor over the top and adds a crunchiness you didn't know you needed. It's cute and small and a perfect stop on your way south to the keys. I'll Alberto back!

Harriette's definitely went over all my expectations. This place is delicious and packed with people waiting for a reason. The workers all are very friendly and attentive. We were told the wait was 20 minutes but it felt shorter. The restaurant is like an old diner and a buy small. The food was delicious. I enjoyed the breakfast burrito with chorizo. The flavor were extraordinary. Oh and you must get their muffin all are so delicious although my favorite was the guava. Also, don't skip out on the biscuits and gravy. It the best I've ever had.

This is one of those "must stop & try" spots when going or coming back from the Keys. Their endless selection of freshly baked muffins are so delicious! Their bigger then your face biscuits cannot be overlooked. Freshly baked & hot right out the oven! The butter melts so fast & it's so amazing! Oh my word!!!! They have a nice traditional breakfast & their grits are also one of a kind! By the way Their breakfast burrito is a huge shareable portion!

Worth every wild u turn for parking and any wait for a table. Harriette's serves up comfort, and it's just the late breakfast my girls and I needed in our drive back to Miami. The breakfast burrito is a giant portion of savory yum. The eggs are fluffy, the biscuits have thier own zipcode, and of course the muffin list must be mulled over like dim sum. It's a classic feel, with kitchy decor and really great service.

Harriette's is a must-visit breakfast spot on the way to Key West--definitely worth adding to your itinerary. The place has that classic, cozy Keys vibe with friendly service and hearty portions that hit the spot before a long drive. Their muffins are legendary (huge, fresh, and delicious--we tried a couple and they lived up to the hype), and the omelets with toast and coffee were simple but perfect. The inside has a down-to-earth, local diner feel with lots of character, and you can tell it's a place loved by both travelers and regulars. If you're driving down to Key West, stopping here for breakfast is almost a tradition.

Did we go two days in a row? Yes we did. Cannot go wrong with Harriette's, always outstanding, the shrimp and grits was amazing the muffins are so good. We especially loved the key lime coconut muffin and are grabbing some to take home on our way out of town! Our waitress was also super attentive. Been coming here for years and love this place!

The back of the building with the exact address. If you drive too fast, you might drive by.

If you're in Key Largo you have to stop at Harriette's restaurant. The food was really good and the service was amazing. I recommend getting one of their muffins to go. I purchased the Key Lime Coconut and it has actual coconut as the topping.

The menu is extensive with any Italian appetizer, pasta, or main dish you could think of. They also have pizza which seems very popular. We both started with a house salad; It was fresh and tasty. For our main course, I had the Spicy Shrimp fra Diavola and my wife had the lasagna. We both commented on the incredible flavor of the pasta itself (mine was served over spaghetti.) I don't ever remember eating at an Italian restaurant where the flavor of the pasta was so memorable. My entree had large gulf shrimp in a spicy marinara sauce. It was noticeably spicy and tasted great. I tasted the lasagna which was also among the best I have had. If you are looking for Italian in the Key Largo area, I highly recommend the Italian Food Co. We stopped back before we left Key Largo. We shared a large house salad and a "meatball panini" (aka, a meatball calzone.). It was great and large; the two of us didn't finish it! To top off the evening we shared an espresso with ice cream. Our second trip not reinforced the first; just go & enjoy!

Having arrived at 4:30pm, we were immediately shown to a table and informed about the happy hour specials. Not normally ones to drink much on vacation, my wife and I instead opted to live in the moment and enjoy the island life, especially since it was 30 degrees when we left Ohio that morning. As such, we each ordered a rum punch (pictured), while my best friend ordered a Bulliet old fashioned and his wife a house margarita. With drink orders out of the way, Deja, our absolutely delightful waitress, took our food orders: sauteed seafood combo (for my wife), backyard BBQ burger with coleslaw (for me), burger and fries (for my BFF and his wife, who -unlike us- were smart enough to save room for dessert). While waiting for our meals, we took in the ambiance of the restaurant, and wow was there a lot to take in! First off, we loved how the old Pizza Hut building had been repurposed and transformed into the embodiment of the tropical island lifestyle. From the display tables showcasing seashells and historic Florida Keys photos, to the license plate light fixtures, to the ceiling-mounted blue sky and clouds panels, to the fish hanging in front of each distinctively Pizza Hut trapezoidal window, we loved it all! When our food arrived, it looked fantastic and tasted even better. My wife described her seafood combo as being excellent, with the Caribbean lobster "almost as good as the ones we get in Maine." Likewise, her fish was fresh and delicious, while the shrimp were succulent. My burger was cooked to a perfect medium-rare and was topped with expertly caramelized onions and bacon with just the right amount of crispness to it. My coleslaw side was also excellent, with the perfect balance of creaminess and zing. Our friends also said their burger and shoestring fries were fantastic. To round out our meal, each of the four of us ordered pieces of Key Lime Pie, which was some of the best I have ever had in my life (and I have eaten a lot of Key Lime Pies!)! Throughout our meal, Deja checked on us often without being overbearing, and kept the drinks flowing. All told, for 5 drinks, 3 entrées with sides, and 4 slices of Key Lime Pie, our bill before tax, tip, and credit card surcharge was $163.93. Considering the excellent food and outstanding service we received, the four of us universally agreed it was well worth the price! Pros: outstanding service, fantastic flavours, great atmosphere, and the 2-for-1 drinks during happy hour were a great deal! Cons: none! Overall we rate Mrs. Mac's Kitchen as being Excellent and cannot wait to go back!

Not like, they didn't wipe it down, but more like it had never seen a deep clean and stuff just kept accumulating. I had the shrimp and corn chowder. It was very watery. We enjoyed the desserts. I'm not sure if I would come back though. I'm just wondering if the whole restaurant is dirty like our table.

Five stars, and I want to explain this properly because High Tide in Key Largo is absolutely a…read moreplace people should experience at least once. This is one of those spots that immediately tells you it's a local favorite the second you walk in. It feels homey, lived in, and deeply rooted in the community. The average crowd definitely skews older, which honestly just shows how loyal the regulars are and how long this place has been doing something right. We stood for a minute or two when we arrived, which wasn't a problem at all, but the initial interaction felt a little abrupt. Nothing hostile, just very direct and urgent. We later found out that Cathy is the owner, and it became clear very quickly that this place is her whole world. She works hard, moves fast, and runs on urgency. That energy can sometimes come off sharp, especially to visitors who aren't used to that local, no frills style, but we gave her the benefit of the doubt. There were moments throughout our visit where the tone felt a little rough around the edges, and it wasn't just with us, we noticed it with other tables too. It didn't feel personal, more like someone who is stretched thin and running on fumes. To her credit, there were moments where she self corrected, and I genuinely believe this was just a long day rather than bad intentions. Running a place like this day in and day out is not easy, and you can feel how much effort goes into keeping it moving. This review isn't meant to tear anyone down, just to be honest for future guests so they know what to expect walking in. What truly changed our entire experience and pushed this from a four star visit to a solid five was our server. Her name started with a T, she wore glasses, and she was African American, and she was an absolute blessing. She treated us with warmth, patience, and genuine care, like we were family she was looking out for. When we sat down and the table needed to be wiped, she handled it gracefully without a single awkward moment. Everything she did felt intentional and kind. She was attentive without hovering, respectful, and genuinely happy to be doing her job. There was also a sweet older Latina woman clearing tables who was just as lovely and welcoming. It became very clear that despite the different personalities, this place functions as a team, and the heart of High Tide lives in the people who treat guests with care and humanity. If you get that server whose name starts with a T, you are in excellent hands. Now let's talk about the food, because this is where High Tide really shines. The hash brown casserole is a straight ten out of ten. No exaggeration. Comfort food perfection. Crispy, savory, and absolutely worth ordering. The country style platter we ordered was also a ten according to my friend, hearty and satisfying in the best way. The lobster benedict was good, I would give it about an eight. It's a fun, unique option if you want to try something different, but not the standout compared to the rest of the menu. And then there's the real star of the show, the Key lime pie. Even if you are not hungry, come for the pie. This is hands down the best Key lime pie I have ever had. Perfectly balanced, not overly tart, smooth and almost cheesecake like in texture. It's the kind of dessert that makes you pause after the first bite because it's that good. Beautifully presented too. The decor is charming and thoughtfully cluttered in a way that feels authentic, not staged. The bathrooms are old but very clean. Parking is a little quirky but manageable, and there is parking available if you're patient. Overall, the vibe is cozy, memorable, and unmistakably local. Would I come back? Absolutely, especially for the food and that pie. Cathy, you are clearly working your ass off, and I hope this was just a rough day. This review comes with honesty and flowers, not shade. Five stars for the food, the heart, and the people who make this place what it is. I do recommend it.
