Started with drinks in the bar, then made our way to the dining room. Starters were mussels (salty morsels of goodness in a succulent broth best mopped up with the moist slices of bread) and squid (slightly over cooked). Our mains ranged from smoked haddock over mustard mash with creamed leeks, to prawn curry over rice, with an order of Seafood Ramen and a seafood stew in between. We all tried each dish and approved of every morsel (the plates were embarrassingly clean when we were done. You'd think that was a sign of full/satiated diners, but we decided to sample the rhubarb walnut crumble with custard for dessert, and didn't regret it. We were seated in a place where the kitchen crew was on display all evening, and that was entertaining and inspiring--very diligent/dedicated workers!
