This wee little eatery is a two minute walk from the main Moseley road, just past the cop shop, just before the Pat Kav. It's cozy, intimate and compact. The food somehow seems more authentic than at its sister restaurant. There were two of us, we ordered the mixed starter platter for two, two mains, two sides and two soft drinks which came in at just under £50. It's worth booking if you want a table at weekends. The foods fresh, the menu's extensive, you'll find lots of the usual Thai suspects and quite a few dishes to broaden your horizons, especially if you swim into the seafood options. Go for a cozy mid week meal for two, or book for a feast with a big group of friends n family. There's limited free evening parking on the street outside, a cash machine across the road and the Pat Kav if you fancy a pint before or after. Sabai Sabai's been going strong for more than a decade, nuff said.

(Definitely one where you have to share the rice!!) Great for all ages and occassions! Whether its just a meal out with the lads, or a romantic meal for two! And you can bring your own beers/ciders/wines (and theres a waitrose just next door!) but their license doesnt allow you to bring hard liquers(not that you'd need to for a meal anyway!!). All in all, a great dining experience, day in day out! :)

I think it's been there for years but it is now a favourite of mine. It is quite cramped and not the most glamourous of restaurants but it attracts a real mixed crowd and you HAVE to book at the weekend as I doubt you would get in otherwise. The service is friendly and it is licensed. So on to the main attraction - the food at Haweli is lovely. It is a pretty extensive menu - and if you are vegetarian, you are in for a cheap night as it is really reasonable. Not that it will break the bank for carnivores but as a vegetarian I think you would be pushed to spend £10 per head on food here. The star dishes is their Saag Paneer. It's really authentic, the paneer is creamy and soft and the spinach carries subtle spices. . Haweli attracts quite a few Asian families - a good sign I would say.

Peter wasn't in attendance, and the staff that were left were incompetent. A second round of drinks were forgotten, food came out spasmodically, and the dessert wine arrived too late for the sweet course. In all pretty poor show and shambles. Especially when you consider the price being paid. They knew I wasn't best pleased. I wrote to Charles to outline my concerns, and iterated that I felt that our enticement to go that night was founded partly on greed. I never received an apology. On that basis I have never returned. I wasn't looking for a slap up feed at their expense as an apology, but an apology only would have had me return.

Octopus bites were also very good. I had a burger which had both beef patties and chicken breast, and I was not impressed with both beef and chicken. Good service, prompt and attentive.
