Just had a wonderful meal at Harris! Friends recommended it, we stopped, really tired but food was great! We asked to split one plate and we still took home enough food for us to finish tomorrow. We had dined at HR last fall & walked away with an extremely satisfying dinner with the Roasted Garlic & Rosemary Chicken for him & the Prime Rib for me...Most EXCELLENT! With those dinners engrained in our memory banks we went on Friday evening to replicate the culinary experience. Didn't happen. His chicken was dry. I mean DRY(!) unlike the first experience he so fondly remembered. I ordered the Filet Mignon(Medium)and got an over charred filet. My 2 glasses of wine couldn't help it! The sides were the saving grace as well as the HOT rolls. Yum! We will soon try HR again just to make sure it just wasn't an off day in the kitchen but I was surprised at the not so good meals we were served. read more

My sons have been buying me Harris Ranch steak packages for years and I have always been very satisfied. But I had 2 of the toughest new york steaks that I have ever eaten from my latest Harris Ranch order. Trust me, I cooked them on the rare side because that the only way to eat meat in my opinion. But these were really to tough to eat and I fed both of them to my dog. Hope the rest of the package is not like that. read more
