Andrew Logan

Andrew Logan is a British themed bar with Sky TV, which runs either news or sport (usually sport)…read more It is about five minutes from the beach and benefits from a large outdoor seating area which is great to catch a little sun in the afternoon, or shade under the parasol, and get a little air (or smoke). Inside is quite dark but it is air conditioned so you can watch the sport in the cool, which is a lot nicer. As it is a British pub you can get the usual drinks here, beers, lagers, some spirits and alcopops. Kids are welcome and the patrons are very friendly, asking you where you are from, and generally making you feel welcome which is nice especially if you are travelling alone or as part of a couple, as you do feel like you fit in. There's a limited amount of pub snacks, sandwiches, chips etc and some English bar snacks like Walker's crisps and KP nuts. There are slushes for the kids if they are too hot and a few small amusements nearby. For me I find that whilst it is fine for daytime drinks and snacks it can get a little rowdy at night especially if there is a football match on. It can get a bit loud especially if there are groups of lads or women there on stag or hen do's, as it is not far from the 1* self catering apartments for 'bargain basement' type holidays. So if you like a quiet drink and you aren't keen on groups of swearing Essex boys, it might be best to avoid. That said the prices are good if you pop in on the afternoon, with a pint of Dorada for 1 euro (which is very good). I'd say give it a try if you are hot and thirsty and you are passing, or if you are desperate to see a sporting event, as they have all the Sky channels beamed in. It's a great little place to make a few friends but just watch out for the rowdiness. All in all a decent place to visit.
