Shady owner. I have been renting there since 2010. The container leaked off the corner throw spring thaw. The water entered the supposed to be airtight container. All my items ruined. I quit paying as we were moving out when the damage was discovered. She says," When you catch up on your rent, I would move you to a new container. " Why would I continue to pay when I was ripped off. Not only that she doubted the rent after Covid. Please, when renting make certain your container is clean. Make certain that they are selling lemonade to you instead of a waterproof container. They lie, don't care how many years your $hit has been there. She just wants money, money. Greedy, lying ,selfish people. She doesn't even let her kids help with the business. Instead she kicked them out. She's not nice unless you follow her rules. It's pure bullshit. I lost over 20,000.00 worth of items and she doesn't give a rat's rear? Find another place to rent. Make certain that they aren't evil. read more

I have been storing my trailer in their covered compound for decades. The huge building is covered on 3 sides and is open in the front, and provides total protection from the sun and snow. In addition, they have excellent security with numerous cameras. In all my time there, I have had no issues whatsoever! Almost as cheap as parking it in a dirt lot that offers no protection, as well!! read more

Unfortunately the new owners are not business people. Customer service takes a back seat. They give you the distinct impression you should be grateful to them. No e-transfer means you have to pay your monthly fees on site. Limited hours (all locked up at 5 pm and not open Sundays) and quite frankly sketchy security (didn't see a camera anywhere) means this storage service provider will have a hard time meeting your storage needs. $150 a month for an aged and worn out shed? I felt abused being their customer. read more

I'd NEVER recommend this place. I rented a shipping container for almost a year. When I started moving stuff out, I found mold on an old trunk. Peter Sr. insisted it came in wet. There was zero possibility of that. I was dead certain of it. He offered 2 weeks of free storage as I'd only paid until the middle of July, hoping to be out by then. But that was the extent of his dealing with the situation despite knowing how unhappy I was. When I arrived on July 30th to finish loading things up (I still had 2 days), he was very clear, rude almost, in telling me I needed to be out by the end of the month. What did he think I was there for?? He also reiterated how he'd given me 2 weeks of free storage, I could almost see him patting himself on the back. I told him again there was no way that trunk came in wet. I asked for the key to the gate, something I had to do pretty much every time I went there. That was a nuisance, the gate should've been unlocked during business hours, which are incredibly inconvenient being just 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. He knew I had trouble making it there between those hours and never once offered to let me come afterwards. I did find out later he's offered it to others. So I guess he chooses when he wants to be more accommodating or not. While I was loading my truck, Peter Jr showed up to take a look at the container. He said perhaps it was moisture that had developed on the inside when the weather went from cold to warm. I sure as hell did not rent a shipping container for almost a year to have that possibly happen! And why wasn't anything else moldy? The couch or the mattresses up against the walls surely would've been. This trunk getting wet/moldy coincided with the flash floods we'd had. It had gotten wet from the bottom of the container, not the top. Peter Jr finished looking around and went back to the office. I left the couch and the trunk for the following day. I was tired from moving in 30-plus degree weather. And even though the owner was aware I'd be back the next day (I have no doubt he'd gone to see if I'd moved everything, he did tell me he'd just been in there days before. Without my permission), I still had to go and get the key for the gate. Park. Go get the key. Sometimes wait  while he's talking on the phone or playing games on his computer. Drive to the gate. Park. Get out and unlock the gate. Drive to the shipping container. And do it all over again when I left because I was nice enough to lock up behind me (except for that last day). Not my job! I dropped the key off off. That was it. No offer of getting the trunk cleaned, reimbursing me a portion of the storage fees (well over 2 grand), nothing. Neither Peter Sr nor Peter Jr cared enough to do anything. And why would they? I was leaving. They'd gotten their money out of me. I now have a moldy trunk I can't bring into my home. The owner thinks he's some great guy because he gave me $105 worth of free storage?? Big deal. I searched for other online reviews and found one that had similarities to mine. When I first called Peter Sr about renting a space from him, he could do this, he could do that, he looked out for people, he really pumped himself up and he had no problem bashing other companies. I didn't like that but my aunt had just died and I needed a location that was close to my home, so I ignored it. In hindsight, that should've been my first clue to rent somewhere else. Take this review as yours to go elsewhere. If you ever have any issues with your belongings while they're in storage, they're not going to do anything about it, they will blame it on you. They'll take your money straight to the bank and not lose a wink of sleep over "your problem". If I wasn't so exhausted from looking after my mother and her dying husband for the last year-and-a-half, I would've kicked up a tremendous fuss. read more

We came here for work. We had to of course store our belongings until we were properly situated. So my father being the darling he is tried to set this all up for us so we wouldn't have to take care of it when we got in. So he chose this place as the guy told him the other places have bugs are not that secure blah blah blah. So he basically was drumming up his own business. He also told my father that getting in after hours would not be a problem, just call and let them know ahead of time and that someone would be there. (they live on the sight). Ok all this being said here is my dilemma with this place: -So we had a bit of a hard time trying to access our belongings, through out the 3.5 months we spent there. Gates were locked early etc. -When it came time to give noticed I sent the guy an email so there was a hard copy of the notice. He told my husband that he did not receive the email. The email was sent as a reply to one he sent me. So I rather doubt this is the case. Our notice was to vacate our belongings on Oct 30th. Being the wonderful guy Mr Campbell is he agreed to only charging us until the Nov 15th. -We work 12 hour days, so when we were trying to get our belongings he had closed up shop and walked away. The gate was suppose to be unlocked and it was not. There was no answer on the phones. So there goes day one of the 2 days we had to retrieve our stuff. -We went out again (remember gas is so very expensive and we had to drive to the hart) Only to find Mr Campbells gates locked once again on a day they were suppose to be open; during listed business hours. We had another vehicle drive out because now with the one day missing time was of the essence. When we arrived the gates were locked again. My husband left multiple messages. No answer. Finally he got through and Peter was laughing at him like it was a joke. He said " we advise you to call every time before you come out here" Well for one why have listed business hours? Why should we have to call when this place is further, no cleaner and almost double the rate of every other storage facility around? So I realize this review may seem a bit long but this is just some of the stuff I felt was wrong with the place. I wouldn't recommend this business. The guy seems like the nicest guy at first, but really just a bit of a snake in the grass. BAD BUSINESS, he should treat his clients like he appreciates their business, and follow through on his word. read more

I cant say enough about the Hart Ustor. Customer service has always been job 1. The owner is always polite and very accomidating. They have the best reputation for moveing as well. If someone has a problem with this business, that customer may be the problem. Peter is also a Uhaul dealer as well. Most of his rateings are between 4 and 5 stars. If you ask 10 people about Hart Ustor , you may have 10 positive remarks. I will always recommend them. read more

I have used Hart U Store for more than 10 years and have nothing but good things to say about the owner and operation of this business. I needed to change units a few times and Peter always found something suitable for me. The prices are reasonable and fair. Billing and payment for the unit was simple and uncomplicated.
