Of course I like many others lost most of my fence thanks to Hurricane Sally, but a wonderful neighbor was able to temporarily patch me back together. I notified my insurance and tried unsuccessfully to get a or any fence company out here to give me an estimate, crickets.... Actually the excuses were leave a message of the size fence you need, to it will be 6-8 weeks before we can get an estimator out there???? Well I wasn't in a rush so I waited, but I was hoping to give myself a new fence for Christmas. I went online to High Steele Fence website & after reading the usual business stuff was amazed to see that with the help of GPS you could actually estimate your own fencing needs. So I did and then sent them an email, I received a reply within 24 hours and the owner Chris came out the next day to double check the measurement, turns out we were exactly the same footage. So I made a contract with them, letting them know I still had to get the ok from insurance, they gladly wrote an estimate and letter as to the amount of damage I had, which was great help and in turn sped up the whole process and a check was cut. The next thing I know I have a start date, and they actually started and the crew they sent which I doubt anyone was over 28 was on time 0700 sharp every day, they were prompt courteous, clean, professional and there was never any goofing off. All in all it took 2 1/2 days from start to finish and they cleaned everything up before they left each day. This was totally terrific teamwork by Seath Appling, Patrick McKown, Colin Emms and James Philyaw. If ever I need another fence project I would not only go with High Steele but would request this same crew, they were stellar. So if you are in need of fence work I would definitely give them a call, price was fair and honest and they were more than helpful with insurance, but I have to say the work by the crew was above and beyond what was you would deal with from most contractors. I would give this 5 plus stars for an up and coming business.

I hired All American Fence to replace an existing fence, ultimately selecting them because they…read morewere the lowest bidder and because I had a personal connection to their sales representative. Unfortunately, the overall experience left me disappointed. The project took approximately a month and a half to complete, considerably longer than the six days that were quoted. More concerning than the schedule, however, was the number of issues identified after the initial installation. I documented more than 30 items requiring correction, including incomplete sections of fencing, uneven and poorly cut pickets and posts, damaged gate framing, nails that were not fully sunk, hardware and electrical items that were not properly reattached, construction materials and debris left on the property, and several areas where the fence was not properly finished. To All American Fence's credit, their construction manager, Joseph, was responsive to my concerns and made multiple trips to the property to address the punch list. The company did make efforts to correct many of the issues, and I appreciate Joseph's willingness to work through them. Unfortunately, it took multiple return visits, and there are still workmanship concerns that I believe should have been addressed during the original installation. One of my biggest concerns was cleanup. String, construction debris, and what appeared to be nails and other metal debris were left around the property. Because I have children, I specifically asked that the area around the fence be checked with a magnet. Joseph initially told me he would come by and do this, but later told me he had been instructed by the owner, Shawn Carter, not to return to the property. That was particularly disappointing given the potential safety concern. There was also damage to three irrigation pipes during the installation. After notifying the company, Joseph initially indicated that he would address the issue. I was subsequently told that he had been instructed by the owner not to return to the property. The company cited contractual language stating that the "Owner is responsible for marking property lines and low voltage lines." I did not believe that provision addressed the irrigation damage, yet I was left to deal with the resulting repairs. Another issue involved the company's sales representative, Tyler. I was told that his commission would not be paid unless I signed a certification of completion. This ultimately resulted in Tyler personally coming to my property and attempting to address items that remained unresolved after multiple previous visits by the installation crews. I found this unusual and disappointing, particularly given that the project was still not fully resolved. The communication and handling of the final stage of the project also left me dissatisfied. Rather than feeling like the company was committed to making sure the job was completely finished and the property was left in good condition, the process ultimately became contentious. My communications with the owner unfortunately ended on a very negative note, including being described as the "most entitled customer" he had ever worked for. I recognize that every construction project can have unforeseen issues, and I also recognize that All American Fence did make efforts to correct many of the problems I identified. My concern is that there were simply too many workmanship and completion issues for a project of this size, and it required far too much of my time and repeated follow-up to get the work to where it ultimately ended up. I chose All American Fence because their price was competitive and I initially expected that I was getting a good value. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I would not use them again or recommend them to someone looking for a contractor where quality control, attention to detail, cleanup, and follow-through are priorities.

I hired James with A Cut Above Landscaping to address a serious water intrusion issue at one of my…read morerental properties. He recommended installing a basin drain system as the solution, but unfortunately the work was completely ineffective. The crew dug up the parking lot and front of the house to install the drainage system, but left a huge mess behind. There were trenches and uneven areas throughout my parking lot and even extending onto my neighbor's property. The entire job felt rushed, like the priority was finishing as quickly as possible rather than making sure it was done correctly. The drainage system itself was poorly designed. The drains were not installed up against the house where the flooding and water intrusion was actually occurring, and the front of the property was not properly graded to direct water toward the drain. As a result, the system did little to solve the original issue. When I reached back out and asked James to come back and help correct the problems, his response was that they were "already barely making any money on the job." That response made it seem like the focus was more on profit than standing behind the work or making things right for the customer. Overall, I was very disappointed with both the workmanship and the customer service, and I would not recommend using this company for drainage or water intrusion issues.

They put an irrigation line on my neighbors side of the fence that was found when I hired another company to connect to my well, which they refused to do. No one asked nor told the neighbor nor I if that was ok. And they refuse to do anything about it! Neighbor has a rock yard and was out of town when it was done, so he nor I could tell till now. Turns out this new contractor had worked for them and quit two years ago due to issues just like mine. 3. They told me they winterized the system last fall, but did not drain lines so the back flow valve burst. They refused to repair it without being paid $7500! I had to hire someone else to fix it. 4. I was told they installed the remote module in the system so I could control it with my phone from Texas, but they did not. I had to pay someone else $100 to install it. 5. I told them the controller was faulty and was running 3 times a day. I had cleared it and it did not still stay on schedule. I got two $600 water bills for two months before they would replace it. BOTTOM LINE...DO NOT HIRE THEM! THEY LIE, THEY ARE SCAMMERS AND THEY OVER PROMISE AND TRY TO CHARGE YOU MoRE THAN CONTRACT PRICE! PLUS THEY DO NOT FOLLOW THROUGH WITH THEIR WARRANTY! We had sod installation and many of the pieces are not butted up against each other with half inch or more gaps or holes in between. A lot of it is placed like a checkerboard so all the seams line up instead of staggered. Not impressed.
