Great Japanese food at Malaga. The sushi was expertly made and we were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food. It is a respite from the heavier fare we had all week. read more

The restaurant is spacious and clean and not as loud as many all-you-can-eat restaurants usually are. However, the menu is somehow limited. There are not many dishes to choose from and you have to pay an extra for all the good things. I would have liked a more thorough description of each plate. My boyfriend is allergic to seafood and it was hard to tell by the pictures which dishes contained seafood and which ones didn't. The quality of the food was good, but not great.

I got a table near the windows - the waitress told me it would be cooler there, which i was glad for... I was also told that there was no buffet, but I could order everything from the menu for one price - 'great', I thoght - and yes, it absolutely was! The menu had little pictures on it - makes sense if you don't know some of the names of the dishes, and some dishes can only be ordered in the evening and weekend, when the price is also higher ... You can get five different dishes per order, and the dishes are sized smaller so you can try more ;). The waitress also told me that you have to eat up everything, otherwise you have to pay a fee... Because I was hungry I had the chance to try a lot (see pictures) and I think it was delicious! A very fresh and tasty salad, good (and lots of different) sushi/maki, fresh grilled meat, fried rice or noodels with vegetables/meat/prawns, and a lot more! For dessert there are only three options (fruit salad, green tea/vanilla ice cream or grean tea flan) which was a little bit too little for me - but you can easily get a nice ice cream in the area around, because the location is good... I also visited the bathroom which was spacy and clean, so also a plus here! The next time I stay in Malaga I want to come back!

I'd recommend especially because it's not like there are any real alternatives. Not bad.

View of the old town was gorgeous but late afternoon the sun is beating down the patio. There's a set menu for €95 but didn't seem a good value so we opted a la carte. I then spied a Tiger Prawn in the back and they proceeded to prepare it just by a quick steam bath then served rare. Amazing. Crew was warm and friendly, located perfectly

It is sort of an open air environment, even inside because there is not much bad weather in Malaga. We sat at a comfortable table with chairs and a couch on one side. For non-Spainish speakers, the staff was pretty good at catching what I wanted to order. For my drink I chose a gin & tonic (G&T) with the local gin, Larios, which was excellent. The server was my kind of pourer when he came to the table with a large goblet of ice and then proceeded to just pour until I said stop, then finished it off with the tonic. For food we chose to get a cheese platter to share with local cheeses (not to be missed are the cheeses in this region of Spain). Then for my primary dishes I got a shredded beef taco (5.5 Euro) and my new favorite which YOU HAVE TO TRY, chunky fried potatoes with a morita chili aioli sauce (5 Euro)....OMG....I had this dish twice in Malaga at two locations and it is sooooo good. I would definitely recommend this place to go for tapas and drinks.

Downside is that the food was kind of cold, no banchan or iron pot with the bibimbap and the staff didn't know English but were otherwise very polite and helpful. Having lived in Japan and eaten both Japanese and Korean food in theirs respective countries as well as many places in the UK, this place is not exactly authentic. But alas, they were open. I had to walk all the way into the back to get someone's attention! While the fish was extremely fresh (as I expected), the bowls were very small and I was still hungry after eating here. Additionally, I would consider our meal to be a bit more expensive than the other places we've dined at in Malaga. So, meh, not the best bang for the buck. And not sure it was enough to help my sushi craving either. The service was good. The waitress didn't speak any English, but I was able to communicate enough using my butchered Spanish to ask questions, and she kindly did her best to help answer.
