Harvard Park Surgery Center Denver, CO I'd like to take a minute to express my heart felt thanks to the staff at Harvard Park Surgery Center. I recently was admitted twice to this facility due to Insurance mandates for two short surgical procedures. However brief the surgeries I was still quite anxious especially during the Covid-19 family restrictions. Not having family with me during the Pre-Op process was going to be difficult but my sweet Pre-Op Nurse, Karen Courtney, changed all of that.  She was kind and professional, making sure I was comfortable. She was engaging and genuinely interested in me as a person. We connected on several levels and I felt like she was an extension of my family and that made things okay. Then I met Melissa, my Operating Room Nurse.  I, too, am an Operating Room Nurse and we are typically over looked during reviews / surveys as our patients are pre medicated then off to sleep not knowing what we do.  Melissa was very sweet when I met her in Pre-Op and also interested in how I felt, allying all fears. My Nurse Anesthetist, Lauren, was reassuring with the proper medications I would have on board. She too knew how anxious I was. I know she and Melissa took very good  care of me during surgery.  Then in the blink of an eye, while waking up, I met Janet and Carol, my Recovery Room Nurses. They made sure I was comfortable, pain free, provided support, reviewed the discharge instructions and then walked me to my car. I would be remiss not to mention my Surgeon, Dr. Amy Kelmenson, who not only is an exceptionally kind lady but whose technical skills have added a new dimension to my life. I have had two cataract surgeries at Harvard Park Surgery Center in the past two weeks. The experience was absolutely SUPER both time. ALL of the staff (administration, nurses, doctor) were EXCELLENT--very friendly, most competent, caring, and helpful. Throughout the procedure they gave clear explanations of what was happening and what to expect. Staff was also most helpful when I called them on the phone. Both operations turned out very well and I can now see without glasses or contacts for the first time in over 60 years! The facility is very well located near Porter Adventist Hospital and the facility has some covered parking. That comes in handy if it snows, which it did on the day of my second surgery. One of my favorite words is the word synergy. The delicate balance between providing the best medical care and making you feel as if you are attending a social event is difficult to accomplish without compromising one of the two. Somehow Harvard Park Surgery Center staff and DR. Richheimere and his staff are able to achieve. On the 19th of December, I I had surgery performed on my left eye and I was thrilled with the outcome. Yesterday on the 6th of January I had the same surgery performed on my right eye. I thought that topping my first great experience is difficult to accomplish. To my delight, they did! I've had 4 different surgeries here over the last 3 years and I have had nothing but great experiences each time. The nurses and staff are always friendly and personable and making sure that you're comfortable and and not nervous or scared. The facility has been remodeled recently and is clean and bright. The waiting room has a system for your family to track the progress of your prep and surgery and recovery all on a monitor with confidential codes to protect HIPAA privacy. After each surgery they call and make sure you're doing well and I truly feel like they care and aren't just going through the motions. I was even running late to my last surgery and they were reasonable and accommodating. I'm glad my surgeon chooses to use them and would be happy to come back for any future operations. read more

I had two separate cataract surgeries here....left eye April 7th, 2021 and right eye April 21st, 2021. To say I was nervous, would be an understatement, but the surgical center, its entire staff, and my own doctor, Matthew Kruger, put me at ease, restored my vision, and I would recommend them with complete confidence. Thank you to: Kelsey, Melissa, Teresa, Christine, Ana, Louryn, Keri, Emily, Karen.....and especially to my anesthesiologists..sorry, if I missed someone. I am so grateful for the health care I received....more so under the dangers of COVID. I sent some Danish breakfast Kringles, as a token of my appreciation....and, I suggest you do something similar. I had surgery on my sinuses yesterday, Sept 7th by Dr Jeffery Cutler. My Pre-Op Nurse was Julie, Operating Room Nurse was Lana and my Recovery Room Nurse was Katie. Apparently, the person ahead of me did not show up for their surgery, so I was taken in early. The nurse explained to me that they were going to do things more quickly but if I had questions or wanted them to slow down they would do so. All of the Nurses working with me were kind, competent and efficient. My surgery went well, but as per usual, I was nauseated after surgery. Everyone was very solicitous trying to help me. I was discharged after the nausea was abating and given instructions for post op home care. I highly recommend this surgery center! read more

I was very pleased with the surgical eye treatment provided by Harvard Park Surgery Center on November 25, 2020. everything went orderly and resulted in the procedure only lasting a hour and a half I was especially pleased with the staff: 1. I was warmly greeted by the nursing staff and treated like a guest would appreciate. "Hats off" to Sara, Ricki, Lana and Lavryn for making me feel very welcomed. 2. Dr. Richheimer was a very experienced professional that made the surgery for cataract removal and correction of astigmatism go very smooth. I had cataract surgery on each of my eyes. Both of my visits to the Harvard Park Surgery Center were an excellent experience. The nurses were all excellent and personable. They eased my concerns and looked out for my comfort. Pillows under my knees and nice warm blankets. My doctors and nurses all took time to meet with me prior to the surgery and to talk with me again in the operating room to make sure I was comfortable and knew who was there. The procedure and recovery were all very quick. They reviewed with me once again my discharge instructions. I appreciated the call the next day to be sure I was doing well. read more

they do eye surgery at this site but all the paper work they want you to read and sign is the smallest font they could use. even with glasses you cant see the print to be able to read it. whoever runs that site has there head up there ass. you would think that a place that helps with vision would use a large font so patients could read it. they dont care about your personal information. they wouldnt do surgery unless I let them scan my id into there computer system. my dr is great, the nurses in the back are great. I had cataract surgery at the Harvard Park Surgery Center this week and the experience was as great as it was 4 years ago when I had the first eye done! Admin. staff courteous and professional. Nursing staff very caring, made me very comfortable and encouraged questions if I had any. The anesthesiologist and nurse for this important part of the procedure explained everything in detail and again encouraged questions. My eye doc is Matthew Kruger, MD. I thanked him for his skill today at the post op followup. I am so lucky to have such excellent professionals and medical resources in my community. read more

At all times I was thoroughly impressed with not only the results but with all of the staff / professionals that I had interactions with on site, over the phone and in subsequent follow-ups. I had surgery last week to remove basal cell carcinoma on my eyelid. After Mohs surgery completion, I came to Harvard Park Surgery Center for reconstruction. I was immediately greeted by a WONDERFUL receptionist named Ann.. Ann was Warm, Caring and Very Professional! She took care of all the proper billing paperwork and check in procedures! I went to Harvard Park Surgery Center last week for Cataract Surgery. From the moment I walked in, everyone from the Receptionist to the Pre-Op Nurse (Linda) to the Operating Room Nurse (Ana) to the Recovery Room Nurses (Chris and Courtney) were awesome. They were so caring of my comfort and made sure I was informed of what was going to happen - I couldn't have asked for better. The facility was clean and very efficiently run. Had sinus surgery here yesterday. Both Dr. Cutler and Dr. Bolton provided detailed information about my procedure in advance. All three nurses (Tracey - Pre Op, Lana - Op, and Lyndsey - Post Op) provided excellent and attentive care. Lyndsey, in particular, was helpful in reducing my post-op blood pressure. Have had some minor post-op pain and bleeding issues. I received excellent instructions and a good follow up call. An excellent experience overall. read more

Very professional, very nice, extremely concentered if I had any questions and if was comfortable. I only have one small complaint. They did not provide hospital socks so when I went to the bathroom with my regular socks on, I almost fell twice. This is such a small complaint considering how great they are in every other area. This week I had my second cataract surgery at Harvard Park. In summary it was excellent. They were kind, non-rushed, extremely professional and very knowledgeable. Only had to try once to get my IV going. Nice warm blanket. Talked about me and made sure I knew what treatment I was in for, etc. Both doctors came in and talked to me before the surgery. Fabulous care from start to finish. Staff were in touch two weeks before scheduled surgery, confirming insurance eligibility and copayment, addressing health history and medications. The anesthesiologist, Dr. Tony Keever, did a preop screening the night before and we worked out a plan for anesthesia that worked flawlessly. Dr. Diana DeSantis was amazing. I have had cataract surgery performed there on each eye by Jason Jacobs a couple of years ago. I also had laser surgery performed there by Jason Jacobs on each eye a week apart July 15 2020 and July 22 2020. The whole medical staff was very friendly and made me feel very comfortable. Especially a staff member by the name of Anna. Overall it was a great experience and I highly recommend them. read more
