Attended a special night service at Kumulani Chapel in Kapalua, Maui last night. Praising GOD together with friends and believers was a such a blessing. This church is so friendly and welcoming! Holy Spirit flowed through worship and on into prayer for those hurting and in need of healing. Praise GOD! Greg and Cathe Laurie were in attendance (weren't expecting that!) Both spoke. Greg declaring he is seeing the stirrings of revival! Encouraging believers to have conversations about our Savior. Cathe encouraged all hurting and in need of prayer to come be prayed for! Harvest on golf course!l? That's right! I'm visiting Maui and it was a beautiful drive from my hotel to Harvest. I was there a bit early and a group of about 30 people were there praying before services. At first, I had thought that was the service. Then the assistant pastor sat down with his wife next to me and introduced themselves. Very nice genuine couple. They explained the services would start in a few minutes. People in attendance were very friendly and greeted me. I really felt welcomed. The service itself was really good and the message was right on. If I lived on the island I would be a regular here. The services were held in a old golf cart storage barn. Amazingly there is only two walls and it's like a open air church. The golf players playing golf are so close that they can hear the services. Some even stopped. P.S. Directions to get here are a little off. Instead of stopping where they tell you. You need to go up the road about 300 yards by the stores / real estate offices. A great church for locals and visitors alike. There is lots of easy parking both behind the church and across the street behind Sansei. If you are coming down office road from the highway look for the Kumulani signs and follow them for parking. Services start at 8am and 10am on Sunday mornings. Childcare is available during the 10am service, as well as youth groups for the Jr high and high school age children. There are many different groups and youth groups that meet during the week and summertime as well. Check the church website or Facebook page for information on those. One thing that surprises people is that this is an indoor/outdoor church. Meaning it only has two actual walls. The rest is open and you have sweeping views of the ocean and surrounding golf course. Not to worry though! It is totally weather proof, and even has fans and A/C if you can believe it in the summer time. The church worship band is of the best I have ever experienced. This church sure loves to worship and you can tell they really enjoy it. They even have a worship night once a month where just the band plays for an hour, and you can come watch the sunset as you worship and dance along to the music. I recommend checking out Harvest at Kumulani church for anyone visiting the area, or living here and looking for a new home church. read more

I don't write reviews so this is a big deal. We visited KC last Sunday, 2/21/16. Our daughter and son-in-law recently moved to Maui and have been several times. From the moment we stepped onto the church grounds, we felt the presence of the Lord. This is a warm,friendly, and high energy church that preaches the gospel and, the worship is great too! We are so pleased to know that our kids are attending a vibrant Christian church. We look forward to attending again next time we visit, and can't wait to tell our own Pastor in CA about the positive experience we had. Attended Easter, 2015 services at Kumulani and it was the highlight of our trip to Maui. The congregation went out of their way to welcome us and the worship was an uplifting experience. Pastor Ryan gave a great Easter sermon. We even purchased a couple of beautiful Kumulani coffee mugs to commemorate our experience. We're going back to Maui in a few months and we're looking forward to our next service at this fellowship. read more

We stayed at the Kapalua Villa's for Thanksgiving last year and found this church a couple months prior to our trip. It was my daughters first Hawaii trip (age 11) and it was Thanksgiving so it seemed like the perfect time and place for her and I to be baptized. I emailed a couple churches in the area actually, but Kumulani Chapel was the one who went out of their way to accommodate us and welcomed the idea of doing our ocean baptism for us while we were there visiting. The office coordinator who helped us was awesome and told us that they would meet us after the service and tell us which beach to meet at. The message at that morning's service ended up to be totally geared towards baptism and it was awesome that they opened up the opportunity to EVERYONE at church that morning! After the service, they told us to meet at Nipili Bay which is just a short drive from the church. It ended up to be a HUGE crowd, with probably about 20 or so people getting baptized. There were about 40-50 other people from the church there celebrating the moment. We gathered at the beach and we prayed together and then they started the baptisms. The Senior Pastor (Rick) was the one who baptized my daughter and I and it is my favorite memory from the entire trip. Such a special moment that my daughter and I shared together and will always remember. About two weeks after we were home, the office coordinator emailed me with pictures that someone from the church had captured of us being baptized. How awesome is that??? Such a sweet gesture for her to go out of her way to email those pictures to us. I was so impressed with the church, the message, the Pastor and how welcoming everyone was to us. Not to mention the location.... on an open air barn on the golfcourse, right next to the Ritz Carlton. The next time we are in Maui, we will definitely attend the Sunday service there again.
