Everything. Including not treating customers like pieces of crap. Purchased 400.00 worth of items had a 20' flatbed trailer. Had no where to turn around got down behind the store were I got stuck. Log story short all the guy did was lecture me like I'm his kid. Complain I made ruts and as I am on the phone seeking help came to my window laughing again and lecturing me. A nice customer pulled me out and as we were recovering our trailer he called the sheriff and they stood back and laughed at us until we got the trailer hooked up. Then as I'm driving down the road one of the commercial customers that were shopping here threw used tobacco all over my window. I guess if every one likes the abuse then continue to shop there but were I come from which is a smaller community than harvest it would not have been a problem about simple ruts in the mud we would have dropped what we were doing to help. Also if he wasn't the way he was I would have offered 100.00 for the damage but not with that type of small town attitude. read more

Wouldn't recommend unless you'd like to berated by the staff. Witnessed a customer getting harassed after they just spent 400 dollars. I got in my car and left because I'm not giving money to a company that wants to harass paying customers. Ended with the guy calling the cops on the man because he got his truck and trailer stuck. Harvest Feedmill always has what I'm looking for. It is LOCAL, friendly, and eager to help. The store atmosphere steps, you back in time decades ago. This is where I shop for all of my yard care/landscaping needs, plants from my wife, and occasionally odds and ends like local honey, electric fence upkeep, garden, seeds, Lo and pet care. I lived a hop and a skip from Harvest Feed Mill lets say, a few years back. I appreciated them being there because in those days, Harvest in general had almost nothing retail-wise [Harvest restaurant (has been closed for a long time), 2 gas station/convenience stores, and that's about it.] At the time, I would get some cat products from Harvest Feed, but mostly went in the spring and fall for annuals, perennials, shrubs, and container plants for my small enclosed backyard garden area. I was driving a 2-door sunfire coupe (meaning not a lot of room between the front and back seats). On this trip to Harvest Feed, I purchased one smallish shrub and the extremely kind male employee loaded the container in the small back seat for the short drive home. Do you like snakes? I absolutely despise snakes and am completely freaked out by them, to the point of jumping onto the nearest *any*thing just to get my feet off the same area they are, and then just trembling all over. When I got home, I removed the shrub from the car, and placed it on the driveway and - you guessed it - saw a coiled up snake at the base of the shrub in the container! Of course I panicked, ran into the house, and jumped on the bed. I'm sure it was a couple of hours before I calmed down enough to call the store to let them know what happened and the lady who answered the phone was not compassionate at all. Full disclosure, I did not get bitten nor did anyone in my household and now that I'm a little wiser, I know it was actually a "good" snake [not that I still care for "good" snakes], it was a small rat snake. Still, it's not a bargain to me personally to have a "snake free with a shrub purchase." Even though this occurred ~ 20 years ago, I would still recommend using caution when handling plant containers at Harvest Mill. read more
