Cider Flight & purchased the Blue Hen Wine
    Brianna D.

I signed up for the Wine Tasting with my family. I can honestly say Ms Katrina was knowledgeable. She was funny and knew her stuff. We tried the cider flight as well as a wine flight. We don't have pictures because we drank it prior to thinking about posting lol. However completely recommend can't wait to come back!

    "Free" with the tasting.

Mediocre wine and mediocre service. Stopped by on a Friday and we sort of crashed a wedding rehearsal, so there was a lot going on. However, the woman doing the tasting could have done a much better job of making us feel welcome. I think she spent way more time chatting with co-workers than giving us information on what we were drinking and how they process their wine. For $7 you get to try a pre-selected list of eight or so wines. I don't care for this because I always end up sampling stuff I wouldn't try/know I don't like. Which was the case with the Pumpkin wine (who does that), Sparkling Vidal Blanc and Mead. My partner enjoyed his samples because they skewed towards the sweet and I prefer dry. The Cab Fran and Chambourcin weren't too memorable, maybe too much of a black pepper taste. Depending on the day, they'll have some sort of $2 off special, like Ladies Night or Military Monday. They were serving pitchers of cider for $6 when we were there, so that was a decent deal. If you want to hangout with your buddies and prefer sweet wines, you might enjoy Harvest Ridge.

    False advertising in Smyrna Post

I saw this winery listed in the Smyrna Post several times so I decided to visit with my mother-in-law on a rare weekend off. We were kindly greeted upon entering but were surprised to find out that no one knew about the tasting/tour advertisement in the post. We had to wait until the staff "saw the manager" to ask if they could honor. Long story short, after waiting 15-20 minutes, they would not honor and said they had no idea how, why or who put that in the paper. Wow! Ok, well that is a good way to draw business into your establishment!

Very cute. It wasnt crowded when we went on a Monday. We actually didnt like any of their wines. We did the full wine tasting plus 2 additional samples. But the staff was very kind and answered all our questions. Their prices are also very affordable.

Great place, at the time we were there, they had a food truck, and music inside. Nice seating area.

First visit for a tasting!! Delightful!!

Such a grand time and delightful experience! April Tiger made our visit an enjoyable laughter filled afternoon. The selection of wines and the quality of the offering were superb

$7 Wine tasting without the mediocre or nozzle stopper pour. Great Value. A plethora of wine to match any palette.

All of them were good. They produce mostly dry wines, but also had a few sweet ones on their list. Each flight consisted of five types, with a wine glass to take home. The owner was fun to talk with, he's a fifth generation farmer on this land. It was a relaxing and enjoyable experience.

Maryland wine has been hit or miss for me, so I entered without any expectations. So you'll understand how thrilled I was to learn that for despite being small-ish, the wines were above par. The wines are an eclectic mix of styles; partially because they recently purchased a neighboring vineyard/winery and inherited their stock. Now at 20 acres of vines they aren't so tiny anymore, and (as long as the old stocks last) they have an array of wines which should fit most palates. I enjoyed the steel & oak-blended Chardonnay, but my favorite were the red blends which used Italian varietals. One with 60% Sangiovese/30% Barbera/10% Petit Verdot was particularly good! I've never been there, but they are also famous for a hot air balloon event every year. Worth checking out next time!

I came here after searching for wineries nearby Philly. I then visited IG and browsed a few reels…read moreand was instantly sold on visiting. The occasion was to celebrate a friend's bday and on the weekend that I chose to visit, the winery was hosting a Sip and Shop; I bought tickets for this event and also made reservations for lunch. The drive here was smooth, it took a little more than an hour but I stopped to pick up my friend from DE on the way. When we arrived, someone was directing the flow of traffic in the parking lot, we then stood in line to complete our check in and then grabbed our first glass of wine, which we sipped while browsing the vendors; there were more than I could count - selling jewelry, sweets, candles and other unique and some customizable gifts. After we finished browsing, it was time for our reservation. We were seated at a table by a full length windows which had a beautiful view of an outdoor patio with a view of the Bohemia River - lovely... We ordered our drinks and apps which didn't take too long - we shared the apps, which were Brussel sprouts salad and Brie Bites; both were delicious (we did ask for more dressing for the salad but the flavor was good overall). For our entrees we ordered salmon and Chicken Bruschetta - all was delicious and cooked to perfection with great flavor. Last, dessert, which was a small cake for my girlfriend, whose bday we were celebrating - I think it was Bourbon vanilla - it was absolutely yummy. We all had a very enjoyable experience from start to finish and are planning to return when the temperatures warm up so that we can spend more time enjoying the beautiful, serene surroundings. Also, the service was great, bathrooms were clean and this place has a lot of character... Don't delay, visit!

Hubs and I visited on a Saturday to celebrate our anniversary. He booked us a tour of the Manor,…read moreand since it was cold out, I assumed we'd be indoors the entire time. To my surprise, we still received the full tour of the grounds. Our tour guides name was Cat. Super bubbly. We learned about Augustine Herman and how he settled on the land. Cat also shared some additional rogue information about a possible plantation and the enslaved people who had possibly lived there -- I'm not sure if that was part of the actual tour script. For our tasting, we had the Bohemia Blue, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Grüner Veltliner, and Brian offered my husband a sample of the Merlot as well. We're definitely looking forward to returning with a few friends once the weather warms up!
