Three days ago, they texted and asked if I would like an earlier appointment for March 30. I said yes they verified. Then I got a phone call today telling me that they are revamping their schedule and that they would have to move me to Televisits only from the Detroit extension of Henry Ford endocrinology. That is almost 2 hours away from me and I do not like televisits , as I feel like their attention is on other things besides me on the screen. I have never seen this doctor, so it's not like I have any history with him to begin with. So I asked to have my June appointment back and they said no and my only option going forward was to do these tele visits out of Detroit. I moved to this area 36 years ago and it doesn't matter what they call this place... Foote hospital, Alllegiance, or Henry Ford... it is consistently shamefully below average and I have lived all over the country. Although southeast Michigan is known for having the worst healthcare so perhaps this is par for the course.

Yet they'll hold your prescriptions hostage until you make an appointment so they can collect a co-pay for no reason. In that instance, they'll get you in the next day. Except the schedulers are so incompetent that they can't get that right either, so they'll schedule you for 10 minutes after you call, and say that you missed your appointment when you show up at the scheduled time. THEN they'll send you a threatening nastygram for showing up at the correct time, while refusing to admit their scheduler is incompetent. Because everybody calls from out of town and schedules an appointment in ten minutes, you see. These people are incompetent in about every way. Use somebody else. These people are only in it for the co-pay. If there's anything actually wrong, they could care less.
