When you talk Döner aka Kebab there are Few places that Rival Hasir. Tradition. I've watched the business Expand from one corner To a whole block. Located In the Soul of Kreuzberg They deliver Turkish Soul Food. During the day and Thru the Night the impeccable Service Never Ends. And as If that wasn't enough the Lamb is Succulent Crispy Edged served with the freshest Veggies known to man. And The freshest bread perfectly Toasted and Sesame Seeded. Halal and Heavenly. teşekkür ederim.

Came in and attempted to sit down to dine, service was non existent. Had to ask for a menu after several minutes of just sitting there (servers passing by all around me). Finally got up after no one acknowledged me to take my order. Ended up grabbing a doner kebab sandwich - made with bread not pita (not sure how to describe) to go for €4 from the front counter. Place seemed pretty packed so I assumed it had to be good, at least decent. Flavor was ok, nothing special. Wayyyy to much sauce slathered at the bottom, was like a pool. For the price I didn't expect much anyways, just a quick grab and go. Unfortunately I ended up with a stomach ache shortly after. Could have been anything but this is the first stomach issue I've had and I've been traveling and eating all over Europe for 2 months. Just sayin.... Wouldn't recommend. Many other places in the area to try.

This place was un. believable. Located just across the street from the Kreuzberg Museum, it was the perfect place to eat when we arrived early for a tour. I am SO happy we stumbled in here, seeing as it was the only place that had a menu in English outside (ugh, Americans.) It took a while to get a waiter to come to our table and take our order, but that didn't even matter after the first bite of food. We started off with a plate of hummus with some pita bread. The hummus was so delicious and fresh, and the bread was soft and warm and so incredibly good. I had the sis-kebap, juicy, flavorful lamb cooked on a skewer, it came with rice and a salad of lettuce, onion and tomato. I savored every bite. One of my friends had the Lamb Saute with Eggplant and Garlic Yogurt, also incredibly delicious. When she was done, we ordered more pita bread to dip in the leftover sauce. Overall, this was the best meal I had while in Berlin. Definitely a must-try if you're in the Kreuzberg area.

I am going to…read moreassume homey entails more focus on the food and ingredients rather than the presentation and other things. One glance at this place and it certainly looks homey if not rather like a one pot, buffet, fast food kind of style. There was counter full of prepared food in the back and you can pick and choose your meal from thy selection. No there's nothing created here a la minute but the price kind of reflects that. While I can't comment on the authenticity of the food, I can say without a doubt it is tasty...for the most part. Everything does indeed taste "homey" as every dish is sort of a mis-mash of different vegetables and meats in a consistent sauce. By that I mean most of the dishes have similar sauces a tastes quite similar despite it having different ingredients. The rice is a nicely prepared with fantastic texture and just the right amount of squeakiness to them all the while still soft and pillowy. The chicken is sightly dry but very nicely compensated with the great sauce that it's bathed in. Sadly this meal wasn't quite as memorable as I had hope for. Unlike the Turkish cuisines I have had in the past there wasn't one or more dishes I would recommend of you must order. Everything tastes good -- like a every day good kind of meal mom used to prepare.

He even ended up giving tea to two old people...who left before ordering. He was patient that I didn't speak Turkish, nor German, let us sit down so my friend and I could figure out what to eat. His food is delicious. Absolutely delicious. Falafel at this location is pretty good. The döner kebap? Excellent. Even the bread was fantastic and fresh. The tea is very strong and relaxing.

When we did manage to bat away the relentless onslaught of flies we found the food an genius balance of repugnant AND tastless. These guys need to seriously clean up and learn to cook.
