Its 15 to get in which is not bad at all! The kids get to swim in the lake and we get to chill. Its super relaxing. Everything is very clean and everyone that works there are super nice including the life guards which are doing a great job keep everyone safe. If you want to have a nice day with the family I highly recommend castaic lake. We literally played football for hours in the sand it was so much fun we had 2 canopy set up and brought some food and drinks with us you can also grill there which is awesome Definitely will be doing that next time.

In 1933 Caltrans blasted away at a mountain within Piru Canyon to make way for Hwy 99 leaving a…read moretriangular-shaped rock formation that resembled an Egyptian monument. The landmark became known as Pyramid Rock. Motorist considered it the halfway point between Los Angeles and Bakersfield. In the early 70s the Water Resources Dept created Pyramid Lake directly in the path of the old highway. They took care not to submerse its namesake. Sadly, the lake's dam ended up hiding the pyramid from easy public view. To reach Pyramid Rock you'll need to park near Frenchmans Flat Campground and walk, or bike, 4 miles (roundtrip) along an abandoned section of the old highway that is now closed-off to cars. After experiencing the triangular landmark I recommend making your way down the nearby canyon bottom to view a scenic waterfall that empties into a large pool. You'll see two signs that indicate the entrance to the path.

"Jessie"was super friendly and made our experience very pleasant. Thank you, Jessie. We were able to locate the showers on the aquatic center and it felt wonderful , being on the boat all day We actually had a blast getting clean for our drive home. What really impressed my family and I was Casta Lake had lifeguards on the water that frequently checked on us being available.

This is little-known short trail that leads to a great big rocky outcrop with steep drop-offs and…read moresweeping views of Castaic Wilderness in the Angeles National Forest. The trail is 1 mile (there-and-back). The trailhead is located up the road and north of Castaic Lake, off of Lake Hughes Rd. Park in the dirt off the the side of the road. You'll see a narrow trail that follows the edge of the mountain. There are sections that are slightly overgrown. I walked slowly watching carefully for snakes. You'll see all kinds of wildflowers if you go in the spring. The recent rains has turned the vegetation green. There was long grass flowing in the wind. Once you reach the large rock outcrop you'll get to examine a number of small openings in the rock, peak into small caves and climb through a large slit in the middle of the rock formation. There's a real dangerous cliff-section where you need to use some caution and not let kids play unsupervised. Overall it's a fun trail with lots to see and explore. It's a nice teaser that will make you want to explore other trails in the area.

The parking lot is small, and you really can't see what's behind the headquarters building. All I could see were tennis courts. ‍ I'm SO glad I eventually got out of the car and explored because this place is MASSIVE! There are quite a few different directions you can go. The main area, where the playground is located, has a beautiful circular walking path surrounded by lush green grass and trees. Since I was there in the early evening, there were quite a few shady spots along the way. But if you continue walking toward the back...WOW! It opens up into what feels like a vast desert landscape, with several different paths to explore. One of them even has a pretty steep hill! This area also serves as the backdrop to some absolutely beautiful homes. And the best part? It was SO quiet, peaceful and serene. Just the rain, the trees and the sound of nature. I came looking for a place to walk and accidentally found a little hidden gem. Definitely adding Summit Park to my list of places to return to!

Summit Park is a nice outdoor space that's managed by the property that it surrounds, so you'll…read morefind unusual things such as homes and townhomes that back up onto the park and an unusually clean and well managed grounds. There are numerous trails, plus sports courts for both tennis, basketball and pickleball. The space felt safe and has a community center type building that centers it. There were lots of families walking their dogs and playing catch and couples lounging on the grass area. Overall, it's a great community space with one note...there are no restrooms located in the park and the closest facilities will be located across the street at the Whole Foods, so use your judgement wisely.
