The children's section is made interesting by there being brightly coloured bean bags and chairs for the kids to sit on when you browse the rest of the library. The staff are really helpful, and will help you yo order in books from other Essex libraries if they do not have it in stock. Old books are often for sale in the entrance so it is well worth a visit!

Books can be checked in and out using the automated desks (2) saving time. Late close time of 7pm allows commuters to use the facility. There are also often art exhibitions. The library also holds many free reading events for children. Books can be ordered online from other libraries and held for collection.

The library itself is rather old fashioned and could really do with a make over but it still stocks plenty of books inside. Its a meduim size shop with plenty of seating areas and table and chairs if you need to study in a quite place. Theres also a small section for the children with small chairs and table for them to sit and and read through there books too.

Good range of fiction books for both Adults and Children. Not such a big non-fiction section but that is due to space rather than anything else. Books are easy to order and usually arrive very quickly. THere is a reasonable selection of DVD and Vidoe as well as large print books and Audio Books. Renewing books is easy - either phone or do this on-line (you do need your library card for this though! - something I'm not very good at remembering when I go in the library) Unfortunatly it is only open 3 days a week but once you get into the swing of there opening hours its ok.

They also have on offer not only books in english but books in foreign languages too. Free internet access,printing and photocopying. Also a lot avaliable for disabled kids and adults, ICT disability suite including wheelchair-accessible desks. They also have alot of clubs during the day and evening which include a homework club. Great plce to go and chill out and study as its very quiet and relaxing.
