The food is moderately priced, but very good indeed, home-cooked to order. This is somewhere you can go for a few beers with friends, has historically been popular with artists, musicians, professors and students, but shouldn't be missed by tourists either. Occasionally has live folk-music get-togethers. Same owner for over 23 years, who clearly is devoted to this wonderful establishment. High class it is not, but first class it most certainly is.

It's cavernous but cozy if that's possible and absolutely gorgeous. It's located downstairs in one of the many beautiful old building in "downtown" or center square Goettigen. The setting in the garden was a treat on a sunny day.
