The Tyrolean ravioli filled with spinach and creamed root vegetables were a wonderful take on this internationally popular style of food-- not only the Italian but Ukrainian and Russian kitchens have their kind of dumpling as well as the Asian styles-- this was unique, fresh and delicious. Followed up by a local hirsch steak (venison) crusted in pepper, with a tasty and not overly thick chanterelle cream sauce, and serviettenknödel with prune filling. A fabulous local meat and lovingly prepared, home cooking at its best. We decided, after seeing the tasty sweets ordered by our neighbors to go for it whole hog and order marillenknödel, and after 20 minutes (home made means made to order, which makes the dishes lovely and fresh), we received two round balls which burst with fresh fruit goodness when we cut them open. Even though the marillen were actually zwetschgen, which made our hosts laugh and tease the chef, we finished everything with a happy smile. Highly recommended, especially after a day hike up and down the waterfall gorge in nearby Schnann!

The staff are super friendly and great at servicing everyone even during the peak hours. The food is fantastic, best in the area for the price actually - I tried the chicken wings, the curry sausage, and a couple of the burgers (clearly, I liked this place enough to come back many times). Don't leave without trying the curry sausage alongside a nice cold Radler.

KK gets very busy from 4pm, it's on the main piste back into the village. Usually frequented by a slightly younger Aussie/English/Swedish crowd than the Mooserwirt. KK has two bars, the main upstairs bar and the 'downunder' bar a 'disco' bar, with music and dancing. KK serve bar snacks and a full lunch menu of standard Aussie bar food. When you visit try to remember where you leave your skis - or use the ski check (2Euros) as with so many people skis/boards can often end up falling down the piste. Prost!
