Weve been with Harvard for 10 yrs- recently called about seeing a few rats near our chicken coop. they left poison stations out- not traps- we were too busy hosting a wedding to micromanage them and let them do what they do. So, although I recently resealed up our coop and adult rats couldn't get in, the babies were small enough to, so they did and died in the coop. my chickens pecked at them overnight, and now they will die from the poison. I called and they were rude and remorseless about the situation. These chickens are our pets. Devastated. read more

Recently purchased our new home in oak grove in which the previous owner apparently used Havard as their pest control. Received monthly statements which were always paid and got a notice saying we needed to contact them to continue using them, assuming my monthly payments were enough we went to thier oak grove office. The lady informed me that the service was last performed 3 months ago and nothing had been done even thou we were paying every month. Not only did they not offer to credit our account or refund our money she said we can just cancel our account and nothing more would be done...Nothing more?LOL horrible experience and would recomend finding another pest control (.5 out of 10) Signed, Michael Meyers read more

These rip off people charged us $400 for a whole ten minutes of spraying around my house not even by my huge shed where the fleas ultimately ran to after the little spraying he did around the house not even under the house I'm highot upset bc my kids are being attacked and my dogs are being attacked by the worst outbreak of fleas I've ever seen in my life!! So now they want $350 more dollars to come back and spray for another ten minutes I don't think so ill be finding someone else bc whatever the hell they sprayed didn't even touch these fleas it's a rip off all these pest company's are rip offs none of the stuff kills the fleas like we've spent thousands of dollars this year trying to kill off the fleas it does not work!! read more

Save your money and just get spray or traps at Walmart. That's what they give you anyway for $400.

They sent another bill after I had work done and had cut them a check, their mistake was my problem they forgot to charge tax they said. I wrote them a check with the manager standing in my den, then sent me another bill after the fact,that is bad business. now that I don't want to continue to do business with them they are coming to undo what I paid $1300 dollars for. read contract carefully and stay away from these people,I would never put my name on a pie of paper with their name on it again. ***** UPDATE ***** Harvard has reached out to me via PM. They wish to apologize ( over the phone ) and say they will use this incident as training. Let's start with - Are you selling the house ? Are you the buyer or Seller ? Is this for VA or ???? type Loan ? My review Stands.... To me all this company cared about was "sticking it to" the sellers; they were going to save the buyers ( my husband and I ) from the big bad termites that aren't there; using 5 yr old pictures to promote that scare tactic... . ******* Original Review ********* . In the process of buying my forever home in MS. Had this company come out to do the required VA Home Loan pest inspection. Not even sure where to begin with this. . Their refusal to come back out and inspect 2 buildings they "missed" unless I was willing to pay them ALL over again - Basically milking the buyers for double the inspection fee. . Then I get a copy of their report and WOW... Thank GAWD I am a former contractor.. The SCARE tactic this inspector used was... Yep, definitely sold me on NEVER using this company for anything... . Since they couldn't find anything they made things up - Bushes and fencing too close to the house; trees in the middle of the yard - hello the home is in the woods, GAWD I would hope I had trees in the yard... Blah blah blah - . BUT ! ! ! ! . They can save me for $960 to come out and treat the place... . Dontcha know, this is the same pest inspector that treated the home about 5 + yrs ago ( with a 14 yr protection system ) and they didn't get an expensive contract from them, but maybe they can get one from me - . DO NOT USE HAVARD! They rip off the elderly!! My 86 year-old father was selling his house and Havard (who had serviced his home previously) to provide an inspection report for the home sale. They charged almost $50, but we paid (even though they had supposedly just come to the house.) THEN -- they sent a bill after he moved -- for almost $150 more!!! They knew he was selling the home (I told them!) They claimed it was two different services -- but if they are treating the home effectively - why would they charge more for an inspection to tell the buyers everything is OK. They knew he was old, and took complete advantage of him. WATCH OUT SENIOR CITIZENS!!! Even during the covid they are trying to rip off old people!! My friend said to use ORKIN -- I will listen to that advice and NEVER USE HAVARD!! read more

I am an eight-year customer of Havards who has been wrongfully dropped as a customer. Four years ago we had to add onto our house by closing in a carport. I called Harvards, as part of our homeowner's insurance adviced us to do so, since we were in contract to let them know we were closing in the carport. They told me on the phone that the next year they would treat the newly renovated area and so in 2016 they did. May 2019 three years later, they terminated my contract with them that gave coverage of damage up to $15,000. They stated I broke a contract when I added onto my home and the technician was rude about it. He raised his voice telling me he knew how long it had been but rules were rules. He had not been in my home except for the original treatment eight years ago so how did he truly know. After calling in 2015, they wait four years to terminate the contract even though they were told of the construction and they did treatment to the new area even though none of the previous treatment was disturbed and they have been every year since. They told me they would not give me another contract that they could come retreat and reinspect my home for $475.00. I just paid $236.00 for a new year's inspection. I called and left messages for either supervisor Bryant or James to call me back to explain to me how this is possible. I never got a phone call back from either one of them after leaving several messages. Under these circumstances, I do not recommend this company to anyone in their area searching for a yearly termite control company. Fischer, Terminix, and Redd though have come highly recommended by other customers and I have done my homework for my next company I will be going with. read more
