I tried out Hawaiian Nail Bar despite their reviews and was very happy! Most of the reviews are 4 years old and older. The salon was cutely decorated, clean and had new massage chairs. They were prompt, friendly and did a great job. I got the strawberry pedicure for $37. Regular nail polish, strawberry sugar scrub, oil leg massage, strawberry bath salts, hot towel. It said 30 minutes but it was an hour-not complaining! It was so relaxing and thorough. I also got my brows waxed and she did a great job with that as well. In town visiting. Read the reviews, but decided to ignore since they were close by. Mistake. 5 nails have already fallen off, lifting from the back...so it's the fill, and not the original acrylic problem. Never had this problem before. Don't have oily nails, so typically when I want to take them off, it's a long, tedious soaking process. They don't just pop off like others do. Not friendly here. Although the man who did them was, but just didn't have conversational English and I guess experience. Won't return and recommend that others skip this place. read more

I was in town for work so I stopped by in an attempt to get a mani/pedi based on the good reviews on yelp. I walked in and was told they could only do a pedicure. I picked a nail color and then was directed to sit at a pedicure chair that had a used Diet Coke and white powder all over the arm rests. After 20 minutes of not being acknowledged, told how much longer or even offered a drink... I left. There is clearly no attempt at customer service or cleanliness at this nail salon. read more

Me and my sister went to get our nails done and there was only one guy doing acrylics so it took quite a while to get our nails done (mine was just a fill and my sisters was a full set). The guy doing our nails was very nice and gave us a 10% discount for the wait. My sister was doing three colors, black white and a goldfish color that she had picked out and he did black white and purple. She was too shy to tell him it was the wrong color but I'm sure if she had he would have fixed it. Mine looked good at first (except for one nail that had a divit in it but I just felt with it, it wasn't a big deal) but after we left it started to kinda bubble up and eventually each layer of nail polish started flaking off so I went back and he fixed it for free but now it's starting to do it again and it's only been an hour since getting them redone. He told me it was because I didn't put my hand all the way in the light, but I'm pretty sure I did and I definitely did the second time. My cuticles were also pretty sore and I had a few cuts the next day. They were nice there but I'm kinda disappointed by the way my nails turned out. I wish I had gotten a picture of my nails before I slept with them but this is what they looked like the morning after I got them done. They were starting to come off the night before and when I woke up they looked like this. My thumb was peeling, just kinda bubbling up. He took all the polish off and repainted them and now my thumb is peeling. read more

I usually go here when I want my nails done. But I think I won't be going back for a while. I went and had my nails filled which was good. No complaints there. But my daughter got a new set. The lady was rough and a tad rude. when she was done my daughters nails were bubbly and all different lengths. One of the nails cracked but was just covered with acrylic. When it was brought to attention we were told they would be fixed then told there was no way to fix it and if they did fix them all she would be charged double. so today, the day after, she's had two nails pop off and the others look like they may soon as well. read more

This was the WORST experience we've ever had at a nail salon. We knew going in we had a group of 6, so we called the salon the DAY BEFORE and told them about our group and made an appointment. They were not ready for us, we waited almost an hour from our appointment time. They kept up and leaving in the middle of our services. 2 of us didn't even get to get a manicure, because they kept walking off. It was so incredibly dirty in there, which is horrible anytime, but worse during Covid. They cut my niece on every nail and then told me "it's not a big deal." Extremely disappointing experience. We didn't get to choose what kind of pedicure, no offer of drinks until we had been there 2 hours. Way overpriced for the quality of service. read more

Never again. i am from Stephenvill, so visiting brownwood I decided To give this place a try. My pedicure was decent but not worth $60!! They don't tell you that gel polish is $15 extra. The lady that did my nails was in such a hurry and didn't actually dip my nail in the "dip" powder. She painted the dip powder on and it looks terrible. The lady beside me was. Went in for a pedicure today and I picked out a perfect red color #431. After waiting 30 min in my chair the guy came over. He started doing my toes and when he went to polish them I told him that was not the right color. He kinda argued with me. He went to look for the color samples and never found the one I picked from. I told him it was a red one and he was using a pink/orange color. So I got a red but not even the one I asked for! Never going back there again!! read more

1st time i went the nail tech Suffocated my cuticles. So i came back for the manager to do my nails. I changed color... i Wanted a black glitter on my nails. It looks like black chalk on my nails. Yesterday my mother, sister, and I went to get our nails done and let me tell you they do have low prices and I found out why real quick!! We walked in and we were not greeted, we were not offered a drink, and we were not asked what we were needing. After about 20 minutes someone finally asked us what services we were needed and asked us to a pick our colors. After about another 20 minutes they finally started my moms nails then shortly after they started my sisters and mine. When I very first sat down the first thing the lady said was "you don't look like you get your nails done" what she meant by this I am not sure but I do feel like it was impolite. When she started painting my nails she asked me how they were and I told that I felt like a few of them seemed bumpy and incomplete. Well her reply was "do you do nails?" Well clearly I'm in a salon for a reason and was polite about it and just answered her question honestly. She then told me to wait until she but the clear coat and it would fix it so I waited and it looked the same so I told her once more and her reply again was "do you do nails?" I finally stood up and went to ask my sister and mom to make sure that I was not tripping and they saw the same thing I did it was very noticeable that she smashed her finger into my polish and didn't completely paint a couple of nails at the top and sides. While I was talking to me mom and sister she started saying that she would redo them over and over again just interrupting me while I was talking to my family. Another lady finally walked up and asked what was wrong so I showed her my nails and she said she would fix it. Didn't even take her 10 minutes to repaint about 3 of my nails. However, while she was repainting them the lady who originally did my nails started slamming her drawers shut talking in a different language walking back and forth you can clearly tell she was mad and talking about the situation. Well before I ever even got up she had even said that she repainted a few too many times she would say "ah I already did that one" then the lady who repainted my nails told me that if you don't wait for it to dry it could look a little tacky she even apologized for the wait saying they were two employees short. I must admit I was not treated like a princess how some reviews say and this was by far the worse experience I have EVER had in a salon along with the most unprofessional!!! If you don't want to know how the customer feels about the job you have done on the nails then simply don't ask. FYI the lady had super short hair that did my nails! I hate to give this place 1 star for her rudeness but this was my experience and that's because I didn't even get technical on her not knowing the difference between almond nails and coffin shaped nails. My family on the other hand were satisfied and enjoyed there service other than the wait. read more
