"Missing" rent for my last few days taken out of my deposit. Turns out the Manager never submitted my money order. Almost $400 missing. Renter Beware. Norris & Stevens as a whole does not care about the tenants, on site staff, or the vendors doing the actual skilled work.

Still, I decided to call the manager and get some info. The manager herself, Triciah, was very accommodating and friendly. She neither pushed nor pulled me to make a decision. After speaking with her and then meeting in person a few times and exploring the complex, I found that she had already turned the place around a whole lot! I heard from neighbors how she had been able to clean up the appearance as well as rowdy behavior. I now am enjoying the cutest little place in a perfect location with my medium sized dog, but also feel a sense of community and safety with the staff and low tolerance for bad neighbors.

Whether it's gathering around the firepits on a cool evening, enjoying a barbecue with neighbors, or relaxing by the swimming pool, there is always something to look forward to. Last Christmas, we reserved a very expansive clubhouse activity center for a family gathering. It was decorated beautifully! It welcomed us with a fabulous Christmas tree and decorations galore! This center has a full kitchen, large fireplace with comfortable seating, a dining table, TV, pool table and the list goes on. The Fairway's exceptional management team had everything ready for us! Just an update that I want to add regarding move out. You will not get 100% of your deposit back…read morewhatsoever. It would be helpful for the complex to inform people who apply that they WILL be charged for cleaning. Dont say may or return to a pristine condition as that is filled with ambiguity. Be forthcoming and say it upfront so that people know the expectations when signing their lease. By doing so, you have transparency and an expectation about what will happen with your money from the get go. Additionally, the cost sheet they gave me has different prices for cleaning than what I am being charged. Make it make sense. The sheet says $200 for 2bedroom cleaning and $100 for carpet cleaning. That's $300 not $415. See sheet attached. Part of my issue with this is the fact that the cleaners set the price not the complex. Meaning the price is contingent upon the cleaner selected to clean your apartment. So to clean a 2 bedroom apartment its costing me $275 for the standard cleaning based on the vendor the complex selected. Its costing me an additional $30 to clean the blinds ($5 per blind set). And then $110 for cleaning the 2 carpets. This price may go up. So Im out of my $800 deposit as I am paying a total of $415 for a cleaning. Ive never been to an apartment where you had to pay for cleaning. I know damage usually comes out but a standard cleaning is hella ridiculous. Im at another apartment complex and didnt have to put a deposit down and I am not paying for a cleaning because the complex does that automatically. Lastly, they leasing office has to get on the same page when it comes to communication. I was given so many different responses regarding cleaning etc. i was told dont worry about cleaning as the apartment is going to get a mandatory cleaning anyways that I will be charged for. I was told $150. Here we are to today and I get a called that I am paying $275 to clean because I didnt sweep or mop, and a few drawers had crumbs.

If you enjoy shelling out over $2,000 a month to endure constant disturbances from neighbors above, such as loud conversations, heavy footsteps akin to Clydesdale horses, cabinet slamming, and even the unsettling sound of urine hitting the toilet bowl (yes, I've actually heard it due to the thin ceilings), and toilets from other units flushing, then this is the place for you! And a note to the potential residents that move into our old apartment, I hope you don't have children because be prepared to involuntarily overhear intimate moments and try to figure out how to explain what that noise is to little ones. Despite attempts to address these issues with management, you'll find little assistance. They'll demand video evidence, which, even when provided, leads to no action taken. Even noise persisting beyond quiet hours fails to prompt effective management response. Instead, they may admonish you not to retaliate with noise of your own, while turning a blind eye to unreasonable disturbances from others. In addition to the structural deficiencies and managerial ineptitude, you'll contend with the nuisance of dog feces scattered throughout the premises, courtesy of inconsiderate pet owners neglecting to clean up after their animals. Yet, Acero attempts to mask its shortcomings with trivial gestures like pizza parties and raffles, failing to address the fundamental issues plaguing community peace and quality of life.
