I can not begin to describe how amazing my experience was with Chery was l at Hawthorne Acupuncture. My midwife told me that I would need to be induced at 39 weeks and that terrified me as I wanted to go into labor naturally without inducing. She told me to try Acupuncture at 37 weeks. I had never done Acupuncture before and was a bit nervous. When I called to set up an appointment Cheryl, she got right back to me and we chatted a bit on the phone. She was able to get me in the very next day. When we met I explained my situation, and she qucikly put my mind at ease and we began the treatment. Her energy was so positive and reassuring. Cheryl took me in when I was at my absolute breaking point. I had been living with chronic pain for almost 4 years from a torn Rhomboid that I had incurred during an archery injury with a compound bow. Western medicine had completely failed me, told me I was going to live with permanent nerve pain and have to take Gabapentin for the rest of my life. I refused that answer and went to see Cheryl at the referral of a coworker of mine that has known her for years. She set up a treatment plan catered specifically too me and a realistic timeline as to when I should see results. I visited Cheryl at Hawthorne as a last ditch effort to relieve pain in my shoulder that escalated quickly from irritating to debilitating. I initially sought relief from traditional medicine, an MRI shower severe stenosis in my cervical spine, I was prescribed muscle relaxants and anti-inflammatory medications. I am 63 years old and live a very active lifestyle. 18 months ago I tore a tendon in my left shoulder 3 times in 1 year. I saw an orthopedic surgeon and had an MRI.
