I was recently at the er and it was horrendous. I spent over 18hrs there and saw a doctor once when I arrived for 30 seconds and once when I was leaving for the same amount of time. I get it they are busy but come one. I only had a nurse come into my room once to check my vitals. I was never informed of my care or treatments. Every time I asked I was told someone would check in soon. They never came by. The nurses at the nurses station were rude and degrading. I am on several critical medications that I need to take to survive and I asked if I could have them since I didn't have them on me at the time and the nurses at the nurses station said they would check. They didnt. I asked several times and was always told they would check. I never received ANY medication while I was at the ER. I had family trying to reach me and they were either put on hold indefinitely or hung up on. I was never told they called. I was put in a room and forgotten about. I was having panic attacks while in the er and no one cared or checked on me. I would have received better care in prison. This er is a joke and I know they have good employees because I've been here before, but during my stay I received absolutely no care, compassion, empathy, or anything resembling human decency. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE GO TO THIS ER OR SEND ANYONE YOU CARE ABOUT TO THIS ER! They will receive shitty care and could die without anyone noticing or caring. read more

It was definitely a weekend to remember. I experienced my first gallbladder attack, and if you asked me how it felt, I'd simply say it hurt. But on a deeper level, the pain felt like pregnancy contractions mixed with uncontrollable bloating and sharp pains in my abdomen and lower back. I was rolling on the ground for hours trying to find any comfort, but nothing helped. The pain was so intense--tears streaming down my face--that it even made me nauseous. If it weren't for Lisa pushing me, I wouldn't have gone to the ER. I never hesitate when it comes to doing what's best for my boys, but being a mom has taught me how easily I put myself last. I really need to learn to take care of me too. After a long night in the ER and numerous tests--bloodwork, ultrasounds, and MRIs--they found that my gallbladder was full of massive gallstones, so large that they spilled into the tube connected to my liver and caused a blockage. After talking with the doctors, it was clear my gallbladder had to go. The idea of surgery was scary, but I want to take a moment to thank the entire staff at HCA in Conroe. Everyone I encountered was amazing--kind, compassionate, and so patient with me. The ER team was quick and prepared, the technicians were gentle and always on time, my transporter Maria was so sweet, and my nurses (especially Diana) were incredibly supportive and knowledgeable. My surgeon, Steven Gale, made me feel completely at ease and took the time to explain everything in a way I could understand. He gave me confidence instead of fear. I truly couldn't recommend HCA enough. The facility itself was clean and everyone was so attentive. I truly felt I was amongst family. read more

I was just released from the hospital. The nursing staff who assisted me were very helpful and pleasant. This review is a bit lengthy, but I feel a full explanation of my rating is necessary. My referring doctor noted that while urine tests were unremarkable, a culture of the same sample showed antibiotic resistant bacteria, with only a handful of very powerful antibiotics that were not resistant to it. He believed that it would be safer to be treated by a kidney specialist. This hospital was supposed to have beds available and a kidney specialist associated with the facility. After a 2 hour ambulance ride, I arrived to find that the hospital had no beds available, and it took around 24 hours to find me a room. It appears as though this is a deceptive practice to obtain an influx of patients. The hospital team on my case refused to evaluate the culture or take their own culture. They treated me with Rocephin, which is ineffective against this type of antibiotic-resistant bacteria. They informed me that they had cured any issues with bacteria in the kidney and rushed me out of the hospital, taking me off one of my long-time anti-inflammatory medications used for my rheumatic condition and reducing other necessary medications. This was in spite of my complaints that I was feeling worse. The team of doctors ignored requests from my nurse to send me with some pain medication. They also sent me with no antibiotics. This hospital does less that an urgent care center would do to assist the patients. There is a strong indication that needs are not fully met because they want to fill the beds with new patients. In addition, I was forced to have food brought to me because some of it was not recognizable and all of it was inedible, except for the occasional fruit. While the nurses were consistently kind and helpful, there appears to be a significant breakdown in communication between nursing staff and physicians. Following my labor and delivery, I was readmitted a week later with cellulitis that developed during or after my C-section. It took approximately two days after my admission to receive clear answers about my condition, and despite completing treatment, I remained hospitalized for a total of five days. Because of this experience, we do not feel comfortable returning to this facility. Additionally, our 3-day-old son was admitted to Texas Children's Hospital after our pediatrician identified pockets of pus in his throat and a fever of 102°F. Across these events, I was separated from my newborn and husband for nearly a week, which caused considerable emotional and mental strain on our family. It is deeply disappointing that this was our experience welcoming our first child. We are extremely frustrated and saddened by how everything unfolded. read more

I am submitting this formal complaint regarding the unacceptable lack of dietary service provided to my sister during her stay at your Conroe facility. My sister arrived at HCA Houston Healthcare Conroe on May 16, 2026, at approximately 3:00 PM. As of May 17, 2026, at 3:33 PM, she has not received a single meal tray from the dietary department. This means she has gone more than 24 hours without being provided food, despite being an admitted patient under your care. I am deeply concerned, as this is not only inappropriate but also a violation of basic patient care standards. Hospitals are required to ensure timely nutrition, provide late trays for new admissions, and respond promptly when a patient has missed a scheduled meal. A delay of this length is neither normal nor acceptable. I am requesting the following: 1. Immediate investigation into why no dietary trays were delivered. 2. Confirmation that corrective action has been taken to ensure she receives meals without further delay. 3. Assurance that this issue will be addressed so that no other patient experiences this level of neglect. Please respond promptly, as this matter directly affects patient health and safety. They tried their best to do what they could for my mom before she passed away, and for that, I'm very grateful. And when it seemed like all of their best efforts weren't working, they helped me to realize that I should probably face reality head on and let my mom live out the rest of what time she had left on earth in peace in hospice care. Delivering that news to anyone is never easy, and I'm sure they've delivered this news millions of times over, but they treated me and my brother with kindness and the utmost respect. They treated us as individuals who mattered. They treated my mom like she was special and important, no matter how many times they've seen dire situations like hers, and for that, I must say thank you. Parking is easy. The facility has several wings, so it helps to go to information to ask questions instead of finding your own way around. The communication between staff was spotty at times and I received several unnecessary calls regarding things that had already been discussed, but I can't knock them for trying to stay in touch through the tough ordeal. I guess I wrote this review to say thank you to the staff here. Life is messy and death can be a thousand times messier, so thank you for trying as best as you could to help us navigate the inevitable. read more

Failed to treat patient with antibiotics after gunshot and surgery. He ended up with bacterium/blood poisoning/flesh eating bacteria. They refuse to acknowledge any wrong doing. They talk down and minimize the concerns of the family. They tried to claim this 1st photo wasn't infection. Had to call administration to get up there and intervene and save his life. 2nd and 3rd pics is the result of the flesh eating infection they allowed him to get. The patient didn't have insurance at time of admittance about 3 weeks ago but because of the Texas Crime Victims Fund, they knew they'd receive payment but he was treated with distain. Their care has been as detrimental and life threatening as the gunshot he received. read more

After driving around various parking lots for 45 minutes and finding building 1, I stood in line at an ortho/sports medicine clinic for awhile before being pummeled with a million questions and ultimately being asked to reschedule. The Summary: DO NOT GO TO THIS HOSITAL IF AT ALL POSSIBLE!!! Story: Elderly family member fell for unknown reason. Ambulance to ER where only a partial brain CT scan and other evaluation tests were done. From a lay person perspective it looked like a stroke. Patient left in an observation room for hours with no further medical attention. They were transferred to a room during the night. When a family arrived mid morning, they found deplorable conditions. No monitoring equipment set up despite extraordinarily high blood pressure. The patient was laying in their own urine on top of the 'toiletries' given by the hospital and their phone. The nurse said the patient didn't notify them of needing assistance. (The stroke was impacting mobility & cognitive ability to understand some things - the call button was one of them.) The breakfast tray & water were on a rolling tray beyond the reach of the patient who could not sit up let alone get up to go to the bathroom or reach the food. Hungry & dehydrated with clear signs of some sort brain issue. Patient's condition continued to deteriorate with incresed confusion & bewilderment. Contact with the nurse could not provide details of any medical care being done. She was reminded that the first 24 hours after a stroke are critical to the recovery of the patient. Clearly she didn't understand as she took no actions. English as a 2nd language, fuzzy phone service. Indifferent attitude - rolling of the eyes in response to questions is a sure indication of 'I don't give a sh?t'. 36+ hours into this stay we had to demand a Rapid Response Team to evaluate the patient. (BTW - huge thanks to Chat-gpt for the guidance!) None had been done since the ER intake & the marked decline in mental & physical condition was NOT being addressed. read more

I wish I could give zero stars. This is one of the worst hospitals around and I'm a medic so I've been to many. There are a few good nurses and even less drs that I would recommend but most are horrible. Always saying that they are too overworked to give appropriate care. Leaving my parent sitting in their own feces for 45min is totally unacceptable. I stepped in and started giving them a shower because a wipe would not cut it. The nurse came in and tried to remove me from the room. Later the nurse had my parent transferred to a lower level unit with notifying me. This was just one instance of mishandling patients. The first was discharging the patient with shortness of breath and chest pressure. 18hrs later we are back in the ER. Oh and the ekg tech that decided ripping off the lead on a thin skinned patient was a good idea. There goes 4" of skin that will take a while to grow back. See pic. Let me first say that the ER staff was top notch and attentive. If you're here for in/out emergency care, then this is a good facility. If they say they're going to admit you then run like HELL! Third floor CCU / ICU is obviously where all the fresh out of school medical people end up. Complete lack of care to the patient. Meals not coming on time or at all even when you ask where they are at. One dinner meal sat on the cart for 2 hours before I asked for it. They said they would reheat for me and it showed up with rubber fish and shriveled potatoes. Bleeding around my IV and have asked twice to have it cleaned and rebandaged, acknowledged it needs attention by the nurse who never came back. Meds arriving late even after inquiring about them. Nurses and Nurse Tech play the blame game or shrug you off. All in all, you'd get better care from the meth head in the RV park. This place is not the hospital for anything other than a hang nail. read more

I came in with abdominal pain and told triage I had a previous ectopic pregnancy and I bled into my right ovary and fallopian tube leaving my tube damaged and could possibly clog. I have a constant pain on my right side. I was registered and had my vitals taken within 20 min. I was then given medication to manage pain. Within the next hour I was given an ultrasound and Obgyn said we needed surgery asap. It felt like 45 min before I was in-front of the anesthesiologist and headed into surgery. I came in around 4 pm and came out of surgery after midnight. My fallopian tube was full of blood and expanded to 8 cm long and torsion 7 times. The surgeon said when she attempted to pull out with the laparoscopy but ultimately had to take a different approach because the tube was full and about to burst. When I tell you this hospital has the best staff, I mean it. Doctors who take the time to listen to you and the nurses are empathetic, caring, and super knowledgeable. Everyone here has really helped me when I felt helpless. I actually went to Methodist woodlands first and was discharged because they thought it was an ovarian cyst that will go away on its own. I came in here thinking I was going to die today. I knew I was in danger and felt like no one would help me or not take the pain seriously. Thank you to every RN and MD. You saved my life and pulled me out of this dark pit. From the bottom of my heart. I will never forget anyone and the life saving measures you took. I will forever be grateful. read more

I haven't been to a hospital in a very long time. Things have clearly changed. Got X-rays for a dislocated toe, and then was told to follow up with a podiatrist. It needed to be reset. I understand I don't have insurance, but now I'm going to have this huge hospital bill, and will have to find a way to go to a specialist on top of that. The "provider" was very blunt and rude. He had no kindness in him whatsoever. They do their entire consultation with you in the waiting room, in front of everyone. Absolutely no privacy whatsoever. They did this with everyone. They bring you into the hallway, with equipment laying all over the place, to have you register. No privacy there either. I just stood there with a dislocated toe, while they registered me, asking all private questions in front of everyone. There was no other explanation of what to do until I could get into see a podiatrist. The discharge "provider" came out and yanked my toes around to reward them, and shoved a boot on my foot. When I asked her what to do until I could see a podiatrist, she said "they didn't talk to you yet?!", and stomped off. The most horrible experience at a hospital. Is this just this hospital? We came to the ER with our 10 year old son and abdominal issues. The staff was extraordinary and made my son so comfortable every step of the way. Kudos, to all the staff in the ER and thank you for showing love and kindness to us this morning. I do think there should be a separate area for inmates and steps should be taken to update the ER, as this was huge reason why I would not have come to this ER if my husband wasn't with me. My mom came in through ER with Heart issues. Everyone took care of her right away and started many tests right away. They admitted her and continued tests. They determined she would need a pace maker. She did complain about shoulder pain but they would not address it and stayed focused on the heart issue. They scheduled the surgery and everything went well. So far everything has gone well, they have been friendly & efficient. The hospital is clean the room is clean. She has had no complaints thus far. I'm still waiting to see her from surgery... so far so good. Update: Discharge took many many hours due to getting signatures from doctors. read more

Months after a family member had serious issues there I'm still blown away at the care. There are some great nurses but also some terrible ones. I literally watched my loved in hit the call button (in IMU) and it take 20-30 minutes for someone to come. The pulmonary Dr's at this hospital were terrible. It's literally by Gods grace my family member is alive. I'm pretty level headed but the pulmonologist are incompetent and HCA is understaffed. The case manager wanted to moved my loved one to a "rehab" 10 days before the Drs even had a diagnosis. The incompetency was and still is unfathomable. read more

Unsanitary unprofessional and careless. I was here for 5 hours 4 of which left they an IV in my arm and gave me no fluids, medicine nothing. My doctor debated with me because he wanted to give me antibiotics I'm allergic too. He proceeded to smack my back where I said my kidneys hurt and then ask if it hurt worse when he did that. I wasn't even examined in a private room he examined me in a waiting room. Said he couldn't give me IV meds and gave me a prescription for a uti when I have a kidney infection. The nurse that removed my IV messed up and pulled it out with the tape and then threw my blood IV away in a public trash can. read more

Ok so we are native Houstonians and have lived in the The Woodlands area over 25 years..that being said I would never have volunteered to go to Conroe Regional. Never heard really anything bad or good . However, my husband needed a blood transfusion quickly and the other hospitals in the area could not accommodate. We have nothing but very positive things to say about this center...everyone was friendly the nurses were on the ball and informative. Served breakfast AND a delish lunch.. Excellent job ladies!! Went in for small contractions knowing my self I felt cervix dilate at 31 weeks and everyone was supper nice in the labor and delivery floor. Nurse who got my iv In listened to my concerns since I do have small veins and got me one time when other hospitals , i go home bruised up she was amazingggg and this hospital was very professional and they knew exactly what they where doing also they kept my husband and I updated about how long I would be there! This hospital is HORRIBLE!!! My boyfriend broke bones in his spine and spent a few days in the icu. The first few nurses were great, but Angelica.... absolutely disgusting behavior and care. Worst nurse I have could have ever imagined to experience and should get her license taken away. This girl only started to be considerate and understanding when she was moving him out of the icu. We also asked the director of the icu not to have to her again and she reassured us we wouldn't, we walk in the next day with her still as his nurse. Angelica needs more Jesus and love in her life cause she doesn't give her patients any. read more
