She was three at the time and had just gone through a big move and left her nanny (who had been with us since birth) and preschool behind. She takes a long time to feel comfortable, but she adapted beautifully to BMP. Her teachers were warm, caring and attentive and being there really helped her transition to her new environment. I can't say enough wonderful things about this school and I am sad that it was such a short stay for us.

An amazing Montessori school - 4 years, 3 kids - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!…read moreFor those that haven't been exposed to montessori education - you should actually visiting a classroom to understand the difference in the environment and the interaction between kids, their peers, and teachers. I work in education and visit schools and teachers around the world and I can confidently say that Dearcroft is easily one of the top learning environments I've had the privilege of participating in. I am proud to put my 3 children in this school despite all the other great options available in Oakville. The teachers are personable, empathetic and caring -but true to Maria's Montessori's teachings they develop the whole child. My kids are challenged academically, and are critical thinkers in their day to day thanks to what they've learned there. My wife and I are regularly approached in public and complimented on how well our kids behave, and how independant and caring they are for others - love that! The other kids I've interacted with from Dearcroft are exceptional - they are respectful, industrious, and helpful. It's an absolute pleasure to volunteer for school events and interact with the school community. Some of the other schools we looked at had a 'sterile' and 'luxury' feel to them that I didn't like -- Dearcroft feels more down to earth and more focused on growth of the children, and the community of the school.

I took my son there ended up taking him out the same day . the teachers were completely ignoring a…read morecrying child on the first day there was another child there try to be kind to him . I took him in they told me to sneak out of the other door k went back in 16 minutes to give the gifts for Valentine's Day that they had instructed , I saw my son standing in the corner crying & being ignored . another little girl suckinb on shoes in a corner & one of the teachers arrived late & was on the phone the whole time , when I complained the head of the organization told me we act based of our knowleshe of the child ! they knew my son for 2 minutes ! they also made me pay for a whole month although he only attended for 20 minutes . be aware !
