The IOP is primarily facilitated by a person who seems seriously burned out. It seems input from clients has all been heard before and the facilitator would rather tell the same old personal stories and use tired analogies than listen. I got tired of being interrupted, not listened to and talked over during groups and dropped out. My LADC wasn't any better when it came to listening skills. I would be given assignments which were never utilized. Promises made by my LADC wouldn't be kept or they would be changed week to week. Counselors are self-righteous and lecturing. They also express opinions on client's mental health diagnoses for which they are not qualified to give. UPDATE November 2018: The counselors and administration at Headrest are so inaccurate in note taking and reporting to controlling legal authorities it constitutes malpractice or they are truly dishonest and unethical liars. Either way, if you are mandated to attend treatment avoid Headrest like you would the plague. They are incompetent and have taken a great local treatment resource with roots and a storied history in the Upper Valley and run it into the ground. It's a crying shame what they have done. read more
