Dr. Yotive is wonderful. I have been dealing with post accident injury to my head, neck, shoulder, arm and back, as well as trauma, insomnia, and a concussion. Pain after the birth of a baby, right?...WRONG!! Let me give ya'll a little history. In 2010 I had a baby girl. Via emergency c-section. I was young and a first time mom. No one in my family that had a c-section, so I had no knowledge of the recovery or aftermath of surgery in general. So when I had numbness around my cesarean scar, I thought it was normal. I also had nerve damage in my right upper thigh, I was told that it was due to the multiple epidurals and "25% of women" deal with lifelong nerve damage after baby. Fast forward to 2016, I am preparing for another c-section. I am expecting to go through/add to the already existing pain and nerve damage I have been living with for the last 6 years. My delivery went well, and my son was born on 11/10. I was able to see Dr.Kristina in early January. I explained my more recent surgery to her, chatted about the pain/numbness. I was casual about it. She was not ok with that! Dr. K explained to me that there is no reason to live with that pain, she could help me. With focus on my surgery scar, after one appointment I regained feeling in a majority that area. After the next appointment i regained ALL FEELING, including my right thigh. I have been uncomfortable for 6 years, and two, 1hour, appointments and I feel cured! I have continued to see Dr.K 2-3 times a month. I went to her office in need of relief from pain in my upper and lower back. After a health assessment which consisted of a tongue and pule exam, as well as muscle testing and a squat assessment, she was ready to work her magic! She soothed my back with acupuncture needles right where I needed them the most for 20-30 minutes, and introduced me to cupping and trigger point release which felt amazing! I started seeing Kristina in May primarily for chronic lumbar pain and recently experienced my first pain-free day in almost a year. I was stunned. After being in pain for so long I didn't think it was possible. I had never tried acupuncture before but am now completely sold. She has also cleared up my chronic constipation and prevented what seemed a likely need for an arthroscopic surgery for my increasingly stiff and painful knee (had ACL replacement in 1989). Now, after one session with a few well-placed needles, my knee straightens out again and is pain-free! She's extremely personable and easy to talk to, listens like a best friend, and happily answers questions about her practice and healing philosophy. I feel cared for on a level I've never felt with my Western doctors. Though Eastern-trained, her practice is Western-integrative and she artfully melds and bridges the healing philosophies of each to synergistic effect. She also treats the whole mind/body, which is still mostly missing in Western practice, because the two are inextricably tied together and to treat one is to treat the other. She is a caring, dedicated, and talented doctor and healer and I heartily recommend her to anyone out there who needs help with just about any discomfort or malady, whether physical or mental.
