girlfriend, she just couldn't grasp that someone is able to identify differently than her. I wasn't able to speak to the doctor for her test results even though she was next to me in the end because that kind of invalidating behavior at reception makes it very difficult to continue conversation with someone-my girlfriend heard everything and is now distressed. This kind of rude behavior is why the trans suicide rates are so high.
