But I finally got tired of being left out of conversations, particularly at loud restaurants, because I couldn't hear the people at my table. So after my healthcare insurance paid for my hearing test they refused to pay for the hearing aids that the test recommended....what? I was told that for good hearing aids it was going to run north of $5,000.00 I passed after she told me I could get one for my worst ear for $2,700.00 So I went to Costco. Fernando was excellent. No muss, no fuss, just professional and essentially duplicated the test results from a month earlier and set me up with top of the line hearing aids from Phillips for $1,600.00 for the pair! I love them! I can hear almost everything now. Especially other people saying "What?" "Come again." "What was that?" That used to be me! These are great. Customized for my particular deficit. It amplifies the frequencies I have trouble with and leaves the others alone. They are rechargeable, super light weight, nearly invisable and I don't care. People put things on their faces to see better all the time. So glad I did this.

The reason I am…read morefinally giving a review is because Nathan at Romero Hearing Aids blew me away with his patience, professionalism, and expertise. A little backstory to my situation. I went completely deaf in my left ear earlier this year due to an illness. I am 38 years old and this came as a complete shock. My option was a bicros hearing aid to help me with my new norm. I didn't start out going to Nathan at Romero Hearing, I was first seeing a competing audiologist. I felt like I needed a more intimate, relaxed atmosphere where the provider was going to work with me at my pace. This was a whole new world for me and the last thing I needed was to feel rushed. Nathan provided this and more. I never felt pressured to make a decision, Nathan was willing to do whatever it took to make me happy with my choice. In the end I actually recovered some hearing in my deaf ear. And without Nathans patience I probably would have never noticed and ended up being steered in the wrong direction and ending up with the wrong hearing aids. All this service and not to mention Nathan is very competitive with his pricing!!! I ended up going with some Unitron hearing aids. I agree with the high ratings wholeheartedly! I just had my appointment with Allen and I couldn't be happier! He was friendly, efficient, professional and put me at ease immediately. He performed the hearing test and went over the results with me in a way that I could clearly understand my hearing loss. He explained in what way that I would benefit from a hearing aid so that I could make an educated decision as to whether I wanted to invest in one at this time. After my decision to go with a hearing aid, he described all of the models covered by my insurance and the pros and cons of each model. I felt no pressure whatsoever in deciding to purchase a hearing aid and which model I wanted. He was very helpful but not pushy in any way. My mom was having an issue with wire coming out. She happened to be in the area and stopped by. To her surprise No Stephanie. The new receptionist helped her but she was a bit reluctant and tried to charge a fee. My sister who drove my mom there said they never charge a fee. The next day my mom received a phone call from their always rude call center. The person who called was reading my mom the rules on how you must make an appointment they do not accept walkins. So strange when D from the riverside location was so happy to visit and see my mom after she sold her a 17k pair of hearing aids. So frustrating! People please go with your parents to these appointments they truly need our guidance and supervision. If not they will be taken advantage of. Shame on you miracle ear, you need to step up your client service and care about the elders and patients that are keeping you in business.
