Dr. Bartos is hands down the best doctor I have ever met.! Not only is she completely knowledgeable, she is also very down to earth and sweet. She made it a point to make me feel completely comfortable and safe in her office. She has no problem answering any embarrassing or silly questions you may have. It's apparent in the way that she treats her patients how much she truly cares about women and all of our many concerns. I LOVE this place. I came here today for a women's wellness after moving to Denton several months ago, and I couldn't be more in love with the office, the nurses, and most of all, Dr. Bartos. Let me tell you about my experience: I come across this place online and the super friendly website at first turned me off because I honestly always expect the worst when it comes to going to any doctor. It's cheery and trendy and I thought that the place must be some doctor who cares more about the marketing of the place than the actual office and patients, but I couldn't have been more wrong. I walk in and this place is a nice, temperate 76 degrees. Have you ever been to a doctors office where you didn't freeze your ass off? I sign in, then I take a seat to wait in their lovely, bright waiting room in this open floor plan office, on the most comfortable couch with freaking pillows on it. EVERYTHING was so beautiful and inviting. Then I go back to the exam room and the nurse was super sweet and attentive, answered every one of my questions in an approachable manner, and has a legitimate conversation with me. I wait just a short while for Dr. Bartos to come in, and she's this wonderful breath of fresh air who was like no doctor i've ever encountered. She has a wonderful and infectious positivity that cannot be put into words. I am not a person who especially hates going to the doctor, but I almost felt guilty for being here because I legitimately had a good time. I enjoyed myself. I felt like a super-lady. I had ThermiSmooth done at be. Womens Health and Wellness last week. I chose ThermiSmooth for a noninvasive answer to the fine lines around my mouth, eyes and the "squint" line between my eye browse. Everyone was very nice, friendly, and knowledgeable about the procedure. She explained step by step what would happen next and was very mindful of my comfort. The procedure was not painful, a bit warm, tingly and relaxing at times. I was amazed that I saw results before I left the office. I love the results and can not wait to get my second treatment. The nurses, try as they might, are terrible at true communication. It was two visits after my miscarriage before a D&C was even mentioned and they had me take meds that I would have opted out of if I had known all my options. I never had face time with the doctor till the actual D&C date. I made it very clear to the nurses that I had been traimatized enough and I wanted to be under for the procedure. I realized if I wanted all my options I would have to ask a lot of questions (that seemingly annoyed the crap out of one nurse). I asked to go under for the procedure but the anesthesiologist wouldn't be in till the end of the month. I asked if there would be any damage to me or future children if we waited for them to come in (I couldn't emotionally handle being conscious for them taking my baby out of me). I was told the doctor didn't want to wait, not given any answers to my very direct questions, told it was just her recommendation, made to think there would be an issue if we waited, and told that they would sedate me with something. They mention the sedation multiple times and made it very clear I would not be able to drive myself home. No problem, I'm not doing this without my husband anyway. I show up for the appointment, wait almost 2 hours before Dr. Bartos (first time meeting her at all) literally dances in yelling "the calvery is here!" As I sit on the table crying. She immediately pulls her chair up and says "now what's wrong with you? I was told a minute ago you were fine." -- at this point I would have just left but honestly, I wanted this over with and didn't want to go through the song and dance of a new doctor. They start giving me shots of high dose ibprohen and start the procedure with very little warning (bedside manor, not great) and I stop them. I inform them that I was supposed to be sedated and was told many times I wouldn't even be able to drive myself home. She looks at me and says this isn't a big deal, this is what planned parenthood does all the time for abortions. --- this was not an abortion. I wanted this child and I lost this child. I told them I didn't want to move forward and all of a sudden waiting for the anesthesiologist was an option. When I asked her directly if it would hurt me or future pregnancies, she said "no". At this point we were done. Left without the procedure and, surprise surprise, still got a bill for it. In short, the nurses try their best to be empathetic but have severe issues with communincation. And dr Bartos probably does great with pregnant moms but has little to no simpathy for the ones who have lost that chance. Or I was a fluke. Either way if you tell me your going here... good luck to you. read more

After coming from a terrible OB/GYN that overdosed me on testosterone, I was really happy to find Be Women's Health in Crossroads. The actual providers are great, however, no amount of greatness on their part can counter balance the absolute ineptitude of the front desk staff and scheduling. Talk about a cluster. In my experience, and this has happened twice, I am told by the provider to set an appointment for a procedure. I go to schedule and the front desk can't seem to find a slot on the calendar and I'm told to call them later to figure it out. And now, with everything being moved to the new Frisco location, I would have to drive over an hour to get the procedure. I'm extremely disappointed that this "opening of a second location" seems to be fluff and cover for the actual closing of the original location. I find it so sad when Doctors think they can run a business with crappy front desk staff, especially since their front desk acts as gatekeepers to your medical access. read more

Dr. Bartos is one of the best doctors in Denton. I was referred to her when my prior OB could not get me in for my first OB appointment after finding out I was pregnant. I decided to continue to use her as my primary OB-GYN and have been blessed ever since. Dr. Bartos has always made me feel so comfortable even in the most uncomfortable situations. Lets face it, sometimes the "woman" doctor isn't always the most fun appointment to go to. She always jokes with me and takes time to talk to me and see how my family and I are doing. She remembers my baby's name and even my husband and mother! I recommend Dr. Bartos for any woman needing an OB-GYN. read more

If you like being over charged, lied to, deceit, and incompetence- this is the place for you. It's a shame, really, because the NP is so great! Unfortunately that's the only part that was enjoyable at all. We were told by the financial dept that for the visit our total would come out to be about 150-200, we get to the register to check out and they charged us almost 800 dollars. For what? They said labs, and if we paid there it would be cheaper then getting a bill from the lab. I've called to express my disappointment MANY times, and I thought everything was cleared up. That was in July. Fast forward to December, I get a bill from the lab for 1,590 $. Turns out the office charged for labs without being in contract with the lab, and the lab charges separately in every case, no exception. I'd really like to know where my money went, and I want to warn women, PLEASE think before you go here. It has been stressful and awful since day 1 and just when I thought it was over, something else from this AWFUL office pops up. My son is almost due and I'm still dealing with these people I had an appt with at 9 weeks. Absolutely the worst. read more

More often than not, I dread going to most doctor's offices. The waiting room is usually crowded, unpleasant and the seating is horribly uncomfortable. However, I think for the first time, I have found a place where I am truly happy to be a patient. The waiting room is unlike anything you have seen. It is warm, inviting and comfortable. The staff greeted me with smiling faces. I was taken back to see my provider right away, where she addressed all of my concerns and needs. I mentioned the need for weightless exercise and my provider recommended that I try one of the yoga classes offered at the office. She mentioned that the instructor can modify the poses to accommodate my needs. At the end of my visit, she personally walked me to the check-out desk and handed me a Dove chocolate. I scheduled to attend the Gentle-Flow Yoga class that was recommended by my provider. I was impressed as to amazing I felt after the class. The instructor modified the poses for me while others continued to perform the poses normally. She didn't make me feel awkward or singled out at all. I was thoroughly impressed with the office! I love their vision and inspiration! read more

She was nasty and abusive while I was in labor. The hospital had to bring in a different doctor because of her incompetence. My baby would have died if I had continued under her "care." I highly do not recommend this doctor. I still struggle with emotional issues from what she put me through and how close I came to losing my baby because of her. read more

I loved Dr. Bartos because she was caring and answered any questions I had. However, 6 months ago I had a procedure that required me to return for a follow up. I had an appointment scheduled. I arrived early for my appointment and when I checked in, the front desk nurse asked why I was there for Dr. Bartos. I replied with shock and said I had an appointment. It was then that I was notified that Dr. Bartos had left the medical group 4-6 weeks prior. I felt betrayed and abandoned by a doctor that I really cared about. I have done the research and according to all state license regulations, she was responsible to notify me of her departure and to advise me of the following steps to take to either continue care or to obtain my records. I am disgusted with this action and now have been searching for a new doctor. I was looking forward to working with Dr. Bartos with the pregnancy and birth of my first child, but it looks like I dodged a bullet on this one. I would NOT recommend her now. Abandoning a patient during the middle of care is unprofessional and irresponsible for a doctor! read more

I have been going here for years. I was referred here by my primary doctor and of course I was always skeptical because who isn't but let me tell you that skepticism quickly wiped away. I was met with a calming presents. The office is gorgeous and they have essential oils flowing, which I love. Once I got back into a room I met Dr. Bartos who is the funniest, realist, chilliest Dr let alone, person I have ever met. I instantly felt comfortable. Ever since then I have never even thought about going anywhere else. If I have a question I call, they answer it. If I need an appointment, they get me in. I literally cannot express how wonderful this place it. All of the staff is understanding, non-judgmental and concerned about your well-being. All of the providers are wonderful and they offer everything you would need including family medicine. Really guys I love this place. read more

Where do I even start? First, this place is so clean and homey. The staff are welcoming and patient. If anytime a problem arises regarding insurance or payments, they are always willing to try whatever they have can to straighten it out for you. They actually listen to you and try to understand before going forward. The doctor/nurses are so sweet and caring, they make you feel like they've known you forever. This review had me worried, however, after meeting with Dr. Bartos I realized I didn't have to worry. She was very sweet with a wonderful bedside manner. Beautiful waiting room, great nurse practitioner, but I've had several issues: 1. On my first visit I explained I preferred to be seen by the doctor rather than the midwife due to my age and the possible risks associated with that. The nurse practitioner agreed, and said I would meet the doctor on the next visit. 2. After the first visit, the nurse practitioner (Mary, who is great by the way) called to tell me my TSH was a little high and recommended putting me on a low dose of synthroid. I was reluctant to start medication, but she reassured me it was for the best and that they would continue to monitor my condition. I have not had another blood draw and no one has followed up on my thyroid condition (which I did not have prior to the pregnancy). 3.On my second appointment the midwife met with me and said she was excited to handle my care. As I mention above, I did not want my care handled by a midwife. She was very nice and I didn't say anything because it put me in a really awkward situation. I planned to say something at my next appointment if I didn't get to meet the doctor. 4. As I was leaving the second appointment they scheduled me for my 20 week anatomy sono. The date the receptionist offered landed in my 18th week. I asked if this was too early, and she reassured me it would be fine. 5. The day of the anatomy scan came and my husband and I both took off work because it also happened to be our anniversary. We were in the waiting room 15 minutes past the appointment time. I finally asked if I could just go ahead and give my urine sample. They sent me back, and when I came out of the restroom the sonographer was in the room and told us she would not do the sonogram that day because it was too early. I told her I mentioned that to the receptionist but that the receptionist insisted on scheduling for that day. The sonographer said again that she could not do the scan and that I needed to wait at least two weeks. She said the doctor would go ahead and see me, though. I asked if the insurance would pay for that since it would be an extra visit, and she just shrugged and said she was going to get the doctor for me. I told her I didn't want to see the doctor because I didn't want to pay out of pocket. Overall, the practice felt really disorganized. It seems like there are a ton of people working there considering there is only one doctor, and I think that may be causing a communication issue. Also, the on-site yoga studio is one of the reasons I chose this practice, but...they don't actually have pre-natal yoga classes. In my experience, this practice was all style and very little substance. read more

Dr. Bartos and her staff go above and beyond for every single patient. My wife has several medical disorders that Dr. Bartos took head on. She listened to all of our concerns and finally walked us through a procedure that would rid my wife's discomfort. Never once did we feel as an imposition. Never once was an unkind word spoken or a rude glance given as some of these other reviews suggest. My family would use Dr. Bartos and her Nurse Practitioners indefinitely. She is THE BEST doctor I've ever had. I had a tough time finding a great doctor when I lived at home in Mesquite, so I was hopeful when I moved to Denton for college. Dr. Bartos was very kind, she helped me understand everything, and she helped me get affordable bc. My last doctor (whom I deeply despise and had a terrible experience with, Dr. Koney) was telling me that I could only take a $40 pill, but Dr. Bartos was able to get a pill for me in my budget. I literally cried after I left her office because I was so happy with the visit. The staff is great and they readily give free samples and I got the hpv vaccination with them as well. I just moved back to Dallas and I would literally drive an hour and a half just to see her if I could afford it. And since I moved she is still able to do everything but examine me so I don't have to come in the office. I'm so grateful I've found her. read more

[8/20/2017]I had an appointment to get an IUD in June for the copper one, but sent a message through portal asking to change it to the Skyla. I got a quick response and was told that it had hormones in it unlike the copper, I agreed that I still wanted it and they said they would switch it for me without a problem. I wanted to switch because I forgot to take into account I can only wear certain types of metals, because my skin is sensitive and my body rejects them. Well I had to reschedule my appointment because of montezuma's revenge and the closest one I could get was August. I show up to my appointment and sign a document that I was told was just to allow them to put in a IUD. I was also given a pamphlet on the side effects of IUDs. So I get undressed and nervously wait and I end up looking over at the IUD which looks suspiciously like the copper one. So Dr.Bartos comes in and I ask her "what iud is that" and of course I was told the copper one. I tell her that "it isn't the right iud I want skyla". She tells me that the copper IUD "was the iud you requested", which I lead up with " I asked for Skyla through portal and received an ok that they would switch it". The nurses go out and look and tell me that I "did ask for the Skyla, but they do not have that IUD with them". No apology no blink of shock from anyone that they were about to insert the wrong iud into me. Just was immediately told they were all out and that there was one similar to it that they had. I explained to them that "Why don't you have the skyla". The nurses told me that the doctor wasn't comfortable inserting the Skyla and was comfortable with the Liletta, which they said was the "exact same" as skyla. So of course I was given no time to really think about it and told them it was okay to use. As they leave I start googling Liletta and see that it actually is a cheap knock off brand closer to Mirena and not Skyla. Liletta has more hormones than Skyla and is much bigger than skyla, so someone please tell me how they are exactly alike? DO NOT tell a patient that the two iuds are "exactly alike" they work the same way but are not exactly alike. I wanted the skyla since it was smaller and had less hormones. Hormones cause me to be depressed even on medication, which was the whole point of skyla, as well as never having a baby so feeling more comfortable with a smaller IUD. So the doctor comes back in the room and wants me to sit down and tries starting the IUD insertion before seeing if I am okay with it or had any questions. Yes at the beginning I didn't have any questions because I assumed my IUD was Skyla. I didn't think I would have to double check the IUD myself before it was placed inside me, since it is a pretty important deal to make sure your patient has the correct IUD device. So I had to say "no no no", which they laughed and thought I was just nervous. I was at this point clearly emotionally upset, which you want your patient to be comfortable and relaxed before inserting a device into her cervix, you would think at least. I try to tell them that the two IUDs "are not exactly the same" and was told by the doctor that the "Skyla is no longer being used by most offices". I was met up with the fact that I didn't call them to tell them to change it to Skyla when I rescheduled my exact same appointment. Then I asked "why do you not have the IUD in stock", which I was replied with "well we had it in June and now it is August and we no longer have them". Which isn't a viable excuse cause why the hell did nobody tell me I was getting the copper one? Doctor saying "well you didn't ask for Skyla", which I replied "I did on portal, all I did was change the date of my appointment".This wasn't my concern, my concern was a brand new IUD I had not researched was about to go in my body. I led it up with the question "So this is my fault?", which I was responded with a sly "well not technically saying that". This was going to be in my body for not 3 like the Skyla, but 5 years, and no one was wanting to explain the differences. I tried to explain I get depressed with hormones and was told by the doctor that "Liletta has less side effects then Skyla". At no point did the doctor want to give me time to think about the two or explain the difference. I wanted the Skyla, so why pressure me into a different one? BTW the pills they give you to open your cervix can cause depression, so please be aware, especially if you are on an antibiotic. Bartos will at no point call or message to check if any medications have changed to see if it is ok to take that pill with what you already have. The doctor started raising her tone and repeating herself,which is a red flag that she was getting defensive because she messed up. When a problem that big goes wrong a simple "I'm sorry" would suffice or let's reschedule when we have the device you want and aren't stressed out. Do not wait until I am holding back tears read more

She not only made me feel at ease, but also was so welcoming to my family. My delivery was wonderful and my recovery was great due to her care. Dr. Bartos is a one of a kind OB/GYN. First, her personality is wonderful. She always has a smile on her face and makes you feel comfortable at all times during office and hospital visits. She is very prompt with scheduling, prescription refills, on time appointments, and returning after hours questions or concerns. Her beside manner is outstanding. She will always spend time with you and never make you feel rushed. She is very involved with not only you as a patient, but your spouse/partner and family. I had trouble finding the right birth control and she took the time to help me find what was right for me. Once I was ready to start trying for another child, I knew I wanted her to be there with me every step of the way. Her caring heart has really helped me through this pregnancy, as I have been very sick. There isn't one issue that she hasn't been able to resolved the sameday. Ive been a patient of Dr. Bartos for years and I have got to say some of these reviews is so upsetting. She is so kind every time I see her and listens to me. Even though it seems really busy at times, at the end of it all I leave with what I need and she takes care of what needs to be done to make me feeling better. She is funny and can make you laugh and feel at home when you really feel embarrassed about something you are coming in for. People can be real jerks, but she is not one of them. She will take care of you! I've had surgeries with her and not once have I ever felt she was putting me in danger. I have so much respect for her in what she does and her staff to deal with us crazy people everyday and that in a timely manner things do get done! I trust her with all my life! read more

I've transferred with Dr. Bartos from USMD in Denton, Texas to her new practice Be. Women's Health and Wellness in Crossroads, Texas. It was a decision I will never ever regret. Her new staff is highly welcoming and well informed. I felt so comfortable as soon as I walked in the door. They are all women, which to me I've always felt that if I need to see anyone about my female anatomy then I need to ask a woman. I can't thank Dr. Bartos enough for making her decision to separate from USMD. She was the only real physician there. Most were just in and out. She laughs with you and more importantly encourages you. Now that I'm expecting I look forward to each of my OB appointments knowing I'm in good hands. I was originally referred to her and now all I want to do is brag how great she and her staff authentically are. Just one visit! You won't regret it. Without giving out all of my medical issues, I was referred to this office for my well women exam. During my appointment, I explained all of issues and was told at the end of my appointment by the NP, that if anything come up that I would be given a call, that results are not provided over the phone and that I should be concerned if a call is received. I received a call stating the results were review and I need to come in to see the doctor for the results. When I was checking into the appointment, the kiosk stated I was there for a surgery consult, I said to myself, oh no, it is that bad. When the doctor came in and started going over options, I had to tell her that I did not know my results; Dr. Bartos told me everything was good but this was options or other issues. We agreed upon a course of action and that was directed to the insurance person. I have Tricare and was told my out of pocket cost would be $500 due to a medical person that comes in does not accept my insurance. So.......I wasted my time, money (co-pay), and tax payer money because I am Tricare along with had to deal with staff that should have called me differently to set up my appointment. The main positive thing is Dr. Bartos and the NP was very nice. read more

As her first appointment of the day she was 2 hours late until I finally said that I was leaving because the nurse could not tell me when she would come in to see me. Dr. Bartos was in the office... if she was dealing with an emergency I would understand. A month later I got a bill for 140$ for that visit. I refuse to ever go to her again. read more

I went to her for my pregnancy. 1st of all I ALWAYS her NP, who is either clueless or a liar. Then I hand HUGE problems at my delivery - I ended up in the ICU, my kidneys failed, etc. Thank god her partners were on call: they saved my life and my babies life.
