And that includes having someone show up on the weekend in an emergency situation. If an outside service/contractor is needed, you're going to have to work with their schedule, just like anyone else. I've always requested maintenance through the app or emergency phone if needed and had zero problems with that. I sublet from the previous tenant and had no issues with that.

About two months later, our dishwasher wasn't working well and it was completely replaced the day after the maintenance request was put in. Every time I called the office, there was always someone nice and helpful on the other end. My roommate and I chose Midwest Property because it was cheap, despite the bad reviews, and we never regretted it. I did have a friend who lived in the same building as us who had bug problems that kept recurring, but they were also renting a ground level unit. Overall, I would say be cautious of the first floor units because of pests, but I have no other complaints! Great experience!

At the end of the day, the issues have STILL not been resolved and it's been over 4 months. It's almost an inconvenience for them to have tenants to be responsible for. One thing about the kitchen I hadn't realized would be an issue is the cabinets are a bit high (I'm 5'6" so I'm not short). The biggest concern I had and what made me decide to leave is the cooling in the apartment is subpar. In the summer months, even if I blast the AC all day, the upstairs bedroom would be stuffy and hot at night and worse during the day (glad I didn't put my office up there). It would be freezing downstairs and then I'd get upstairs and it'd be warm and gross. Probably poor design or my unit was just faulty.

Jacob Gages lack of professionalism and constant argumentative behavior almost makes the fact that the whole staff is inept less aggravating. Almost but not quite as on every level they do not care. If this company has screwed you over take action! There is power in numbers. File complaints with the bbb against gage management and if you had issues with Jacob gage you can file a formal complaint against him with the kansas department of labor. They take advantage, rip off and neglect their tenants and units. And that's not even going into the details of the many many many things that were issues in my actual unit.
