I figured I should wait to write my review till I had been going there for at least a month, but…read moreafter two weeks I'm already in gym heaven. I may be biased since I came from the most junky gym, give me a working piece of equipment and I'm sold, but seriously this place rocks and my body has the wonderful pains and soreness to testify. I will be straightforward about what they offer and the perks that have me singing their praises. 1. From the moment you walk in, super friendly, know you by your name and remember if you take a locker or don't take a locker type of folks 2. Full locker room. Complete with lockers, showers, sauna, steam room, changing rooms, blow dryers, shampoo, soap, vanities, and they provide TOWELS for you. No longer do you have to be that person that forgets their towel and has to flash everyone and dry off with paper towels. Shower towels and work out towels! I might have been sold just from the towels!! 3. Two pools. One warm water pool and one lap pool. 4. Co-ed Jacuzzi. Big and spacious. 5. Classes GALORE!! They offer on a weekly basis: 22 classes in the lap pool 34 classes in the Therapy Pool (mostly geared toward seniors) 50 Group classes varying from spinning, yoga, pilates, dancercise, bootcamp, ballet and body, power sculpt, zumba, etc... The list goes on. Plus they have them starting as early as 6am all the way to 7pm. So whatever schedule, you can find a class. 6. Trained Instructors that actually know what they are doing and care! 7. Trained Certified Personal Trainers that watch what you are doing, motivate you, work with you, and genuinely care about your progress. No trainers texting while you work out here!! 8. A running/walking track 9. Brand new equipment in their entire upstairs weights and cardio area! Tons of equipment and TV's on each cardio equipment to watch what you want. 10. SO NOT A MEAT MARKET!! No leering dudes or creepy men telling you how to perform your workout! 11. Since it is attached to the hospital, they have a cafe that serves everything from soup to sushi and they have the calories list next to food items. Great place to stop and get a bite to eat, coffee, or drink before or after your workout. 12. Day care with very flexible hours and friendly staff with plenty of toys and entertainment for kids. 13. SO CLEAN and you see them constantly cleaning all week long. 14. Onsite they also have a place to get a massage, facial, pilates reformer classes, and other spa treatments. This does cost extra and not included in membership. I'm sure I will learn more awesome things about Mercy Healthplex as I continue to train there, but I'm sold already!! One side note: This particular one on the west side does NOT have a racquetball court or a basketball court. That is the only bummer for me, since I love racquetball, but I figure I will stay busy with all their classes!

WIthout question best place to get a workout on the westside of Cincinnati! THe staff is engaging,…read moreand the trainers work you HARD!

this facility is very poorly run. communication is extremely poor. their main focus is how to make…read morethe most money off you. they now make you make an appointment every 30 days (if they can) to 60 days (maximum allowed between appointments). they have given repeated cognitive tests (with the same answers) visit after visit (if you allow it) even if no problems are discovered. you can repeatedly call the front desk about an issue or ask a question and get no answer. i have waited more than once over an hour before seeing my doctor there (though they have not been that bad lately). one time my arm was a mass of bruises from (12 or more fishing attempts to find the vein (without withdrawing needle) to draw blood from my arm (which is not easy but my former phlebotomist accomplished it first try every time very quickly...she was exceptionally talented though). another time on a scheduled visit, i was seen by a young new hire instead of my scheduled usual nurse practitioner who was my primary care physician (m.d. doctors were unavailable to choose as primary care) who then after my visit called to instruct me not to drink more than 88 ounces of fluids a day (i am on diuretics)....i was then called again later to say that i was supposed to be drinking AT LEAST 88 ounces of fluid a day. i called the front desk 2 times to find out about the latest issue they had messaged me twice about (without details) and got no information at all about what the issue was about. it turned out they had filled one (renewed by my primary care nurse) refill to be picked up there instead of the preferred pharmacy i had on file with sdmc and used for 5+ years and was getting all my other medications from. i was unable to get my refill for that medication (along with 2 others i had successfully ordered through my preferred pharmacy), who said they could not refill it while sen.dedicated had filled it and it was still on their shelves. they said they would call senior dedicated to fix it but nothing was fixed the next day. sdmc ignored their call. i called sdmc the next day, 6/19 (friday) twice to expedite the fixing, stating to the front desk my medicine was due 6/16 and it needed to be fixed. it wasn't...i am still waiting. i will be getting a new primary care physician elsewhere even though i like my nurse/practitioner personally....it is long overdue. update: after calling twice 6/19/2026 to get them to remove the refill from their pharmacy and send it to my preferred pharmacy, i called again 6/20 (saturday) to find out why sdmc pharmacy had not removed their refill and resent the refill to my preferred pharmacy after my calls on 6/19, i was informed the facility pharmacy would not be open until 6/22, they were the only ones who could cancel it and if they sent a refill order to my preferred pharmacy without sdmc removing their refill, my insurance (anthem medicare) would not cover the cost. so now, my medication due on 6/16, will not be filled until at least 6/22 (monday) at the earliest.... or i can pay the unknown price to get it 4 days late instead of 6 (or more?).

When I first began seeing Dr. Marshall McHenry as my primary care physician, I liked him…read more My first warning sign was when I visited him about a planter's wart on my foot. I called, they asked me to come in, only to be told he doesn't "do" those anymore. Then his office billed me more than $100 anyway. Most recently, I made an appointment for a consultation on a cortisone shot for severe pain in my hip area. When I visited, Dr. McHenry did not examine me. He didn't even look at my hip. He did not ask what I'd attempted for pain relief. He never even spoke about that coristone shot. Instead, he handed me a generic print-out of a "lifestyle program" before walking out -- avoid high-fructose corn syrup, get a flu shot, limit my calories and exercise daily. I walked to my car and cried in pain. I wrote him a message via MyChart that day and never got a response. Then I got a bill for $109. I called Christ Hospital and said Dr. McHenry did not actually provide any services -- no examination, no pain management, no case review. It took more than 2 months of emails, phone calls and written letters and, finally, threats to ask my insurance company to investigate before I even got a single acknowledgement. I've been told twice by accounting that the bill is justified because Dr. McHenry walked into the room that day, period. The quality of care does not matter, I've been told. WHAT?! I want a doctor and a medical system that help me live a healthier life, that respond to my needs in an appropriate time and don't blatantly dismiss quality of care. If you want the same, avoid Dr. McHenry and Christ Hospital.

They fit me in for a sick visit the same day I called prior to being able to fit in a physical.
