Weeks later I got an email saying that the address I put in was wrong and they would not be refunding me. I asked what the book was, and it took them eight (angry) emails before they responded. They CRITICIZED the book I purchased twice and INSULTED the authors. I had paid for the book ($10) as well as shipping the first time. The owner was angry with me and said he would only send me the book if I paid for shipping again a second time (which was less than $7). I sent him $20 and my corrected address. He refunded me $10 and sent me an invoice for the shipping of the book to the correct address. When the book finally arrived, he had WRITTEN in the book (a limited copy) and AGAIN criticized the book and the authors. The owner was very UNPROFESSIONAL throughout our entire interaction. Please do yourself a favor and purchase your books somewhere else.

About a month ago, I sung the praises of Eborn Books' Layton Hills Mall location, and now I'm all the way on the other side of the valley to sing more praises. Eborn has new, used, and even rare, and out-of-print books. They lean a little too heavy on the religious books (especially Mormon/LDS books) for my taste (the back of this store is dedicated to the subject). One thing I notice now is that each store is different, which isn't surprising for an organization involved heavily in used and rare books. The Provo store seems more voluminous in its collection. While Layton seemed have the perfect amount of books for their shelves, the Provo seemed more like an old college lit professor's home, brimming with books in every nook and cranny. This is by no means a criticism ... the more books, the merrier! If you're a fan of James Patterson, Louis L'amour, Idiots/Dummies books, man, this is the right place for you to spend an afternoon. And rare books ... I saw first editions for Victor Hugo, Jack London, Hart Crane, James Fenimore Cooper, and Eugene O'Neill (to name a few). I'm comfortable in concluding that Eborn of Provo has "a lot of almost everything". I'll have to go back for another round soon. Still, this location is EVEN BETTER than Layton--although, not in my opinion, as stacked as the SLC location. Still, amazing.

The workers there are the best I've seen in a book store. They are all very knowledgeable about the store, its literature, and history of the items they have in store. The first time I visited I chose a passage from one of their Bibles that you can have framed on the spot; I also met Mr. Moon! I cherish this Bible page, and have it mounted in my office. If you're looking to buy reprints of your favorite books or looking to read something new, they have them available at reasonable prices. If you're looking for something older, maybe even a first edition, they most likely have it too. I couldn't recommend this bookstore more, and I hope to return again in the future!

I said I'd keep it in mind, and left, and he gave me the dirtiest glare! Visited UVU bookstore, they gave me 106 for just the 3 non-loose-leaf books. (They wouldn't take the last two). I brought the two cheap ones back to Boomerang Books, (a new guy was at the register) he offered me 30 for the two of them. Something doesn't add up with Boomerang Books, I think they're kind of crooked. Moral of the story: go somewhere else, bring your leftovers if you must here.

When I went to return it for a new one they argued that although it was the wrong book it would still work for my class! After repeatedly asking for a return the worker shortly told me a 20% "restocking fee" would be taken although I had never opened the book or access code. Ridiculous. Go spend the extra $10 somewhere else, definitely not worth it here. (Plus, if they give you the wrong book you'll have to spend another $40 like me!)

Very neat, organized, and elegant space. Customer service was quite good as well. There is an assortment of books, furniture, decorations, and snacks for sale that really have that rustic feel. Some parts of the store are quite religious but not in an uncomfortably way. Will definitely be back to check out more books.
