First went to this escape room in 2021. Mechanics, storyline, interactiveness, and production was all great and fun to do with a large group of maybe 8 and under. This was one of the first escape rooms I did with a live actor and that was a game changer at the time a few years back. Most people find this escape room by word of mouth or via Yelp, and they seem to be doing well as far as I've heard. Definitely try this escape room if you're an enthusiast. It was fun and one of a must-add to your Morty list! I remember when I was first getting into escape rooms around 2017/2018 and I saw this room FIRST open. Its literally right in my area, but for some reason, I hadnt given it a try until Sept 2021! I think I was skeptical since it was only one room, it had just opened (literally like 2 Yelp reviews) and I had never an escape room before that wasnt some "big name" or "big warehouse", boy was I wrong. I came with a group of friends back in Sept 2021 to try out Heist Escape Room for the first time. I was definitely super shocked at the quality of the room, how immersive it is, and the interactions that you get to have during the gameplay. I think what makes this room shine is the cohesiveness of the rooms and the flow of the game itself. I dont want to spoil too much but for example, there are some parts of the room that make you feel like you're outside, or some parts that make you feel like you really are working in the office protecting the diamond. During our first time, my group and I wasnt able to escape, but we knew we would come back to try again! I just went this July 4th, with some newcomers to Heist and one person who came during the first try. We were able to escape this time!! Even playing the room a second time, I didnt remember every single detail, a lot of the stuff still felt so new but with the same amount of fun!! Especially now with finishing the whole game, I was able to see the entire gameplay of the room and how many more puzzles there were. I would consider this a gen 2 room with some lock/puzzles, but mostly electronic and interactive ones! They were super unique and some I havent seen before. Kevin, the owner was awesome. Very considerate of his escape room goers, explained the room well, and overall super nice. This was his business straight out of college and it looks like it's been doing super well. I hear that he'll be opening a new business soon, and closing this one down which I'm super sad about because I was really looking forward to trying some of the new rooms that he had planned. So much fun! Took my daughter and her friends for her 13th birthday. We needed kind of a lot of clues, but we were pretty proud of how far we got anyway! It felt so real at times...the girls panicked and hid a few times when they thought the police caught us. It was hilarious! I can't wait to go back! Fun escape room! I liked the overall theming of this setup and I thought they did a good job. They force you to interact with a lot of props in the rooms which is entertaining. It's a nice fun group activity and I believe the time limit is 1 hour IIRC. We did it with 6 people but this could probably be done with 4 people as well. You don't need a lot of manpower per se. It's fairly interactive which is cool. Think locks, pictures, boxes, etc. The game host does have you do some minor role play which is neat - I don't see that in a lot of escape rooms. The game host later told us that they're making a new escape room and will be moving out of this location by end of year so do try this set before it's gone (forever?)! read more

My siblings and I wanted to do an escape room together. However, my sister had to cancel last minute, so my brother and I ended up doing the escape room together. The puzzles were challenging. I love that there was role-playing and interaction involved during gameplay. The game master was friendly and accommodating. Before starting the game, we told him that we were beginners (he said that if we had only done about five escape rooms, we were still a beginner), so the game master told us that he would give unlimited clues without penalty during the game. The game master was helpful. He gave us hints for the clues when we were stuck. And he kept reminding us of our time. My brother and I were glad we escaped with 45 seconds to spare. I highly recommend this escape room. I'm happy they're opening new rooms soon, and I can't wait to visit them. read more

There's a reason why all the other reviews of this escape room are great !! 2nd time doing an escape room. My first experience elsewhere was whatever. This Heist Escape room was much more interactive, clues weren't SO random and abstract. I appreciated that the clues made sense and did take some thought, but totally doable. I was with a party of 8 including myself and it sometimes was too many people trying to work through things at once, couldn't hear everyone, however was still fun. I'd recommend trying to go with less, and if you're competitive like I am, make sure that people have assigned tasks or that you already establish good communication skills ! For anyone that's interested, I would make an effort to try to do this escape room sooner than later since I heard from the staff that the owner may close this place down and open another business. Unsure if this will remain true or if he's thinking of making ANOTHER escape room, but either way, don't miss out if you've been interested ! Entrance is in a small parking lot that's easy to miss. You're given a locker with keys to lock your phones, however able to keep water and a purse/bag on you. You have 1 hour to complete the "mission." Unfortunately our group wasn't able to complete the final mission and got to the last room -- bummer! But again, overall still a great time and I'd recommend it to others :) read more

My coworkers and I decided to try a escape room and surprisingly there was one here hidden in Fremont. My overall experience at this location was a solid nine out of 10. Unfortunately, we were not able to go ahead and steal a diamond but I felt the entire experience was worth it. Please do not be shy and ask for the tips. We waited a little too long, and I think that's what kind of threw us under the bus. Long story short, your goal is to steal a diamond and get away successfully. Fun fact, if you don't, you will hear a police siren and you might end up getting scared. You will be leaving your phone and belongings in a locker that are secure and you will have an hour to complete the task. I look forward to when the owner opens up their new location. read more

This room was not only interactive but went deep into the story. We had to role play at times in order to succeed in certain steps! Not bad. I came with five other friends to celebrate a birthday with an escape room. We rarely come to Fremont so it was a nice change. Kevin, the owner, handed us a lock to protect our belongings in a locker and we were well on our way to the room. He gave clear guidelines and instructions for the premise of the game and we quickly began. The puzzles were not too abstract or random as previous experiences have been. There were not any red herrings surprisingly and the setups were all minimalist. I like how there were interactions involved as well. We made it out just in time. I had seen this place before while visiting Game Kastle to get my nerd fix, so when the topic of planning an off-site for our team at work came up, I immediately threw it out there as a suggestion. Lo & behold, we found ourselves attempting to pull off a diamond heist a week later! The appointment was super-easy & straightforward to book online & the intro video for the diamond heist on the website really got my team amped up for the event. We even decided to get into our best heisting gear for it! The place is somewhat tricky to get to if you're not familiar with the area. The parking lot and entrance for the place is on the backside of Washington, down off of Main St. I was slightly worried that there would be limited parking, but at noon on a Wednesday, we were fine. Once we arrived, we waited in a small lobby area that had lockers for our purses & cell phones (no phones allowed in the escape room) & a warm-up maze puzzle to solve while we waited. One of our party members was running late, but the guy running the room (who we later found out was Kevin, the owner & creator) was very patient with us. Once we we were all ready, we were escorted down the hall to start our sneaky sneak adventure... & the rest is for you to find out on our own when you book your own heist... because you should! I can't praise this experience enough - even though we needed more clues than we really should have & didn't quite make it out in time, I still appreciate it for the experience & overall production value. Kevin did a really nice job with the theme & executing an experience that was continuously engaging & all of the puzzles fit the heist theme well. After we were done, we all met back up in the lobby & he offered to take a photo of us. Kevin mentioned that he would be putting together a new room in a couple of months - one with a bit of a scarier theme to it. I'm excited to see how that turns out! This. place. is. legit! Had a BLAST last night with my girlfriend and our friends taking on this escape room. There were so many clues and hints and the complexity was off the charts but fun! Stars: 3.5 I was excited to hear that there was an escape room in Fremont! I've done a few here and there, but they were never this close to home. I booked for 10 people for the Diamond Heist Room. We got there 15 minutes early and watched a quick intro video. You get 1 hour to escape 2 rooms with 2 hints. If you ask for more hints, they will be provided, but it will count as a fail to escaping the room. My group of 8, had to ask for 3 hints, so we did not successfully pass :( Our first cry for help was totally unnecessary too, so we were super disappointed (in ourselves). Definitely try to think outside of the box, do every possible action you can, and double check your work! While I was playing, I was definitely feeling a bit anxious and frustrated. But it was still a lot of fun; I'm always amazed at what plots and puzzles people can come up with. I am glad I was able to score the Groupon deal. I enjoyed the experience, but full price at $30 per person seems a bit much for the quality of the props and material. read more

Hands down, this is the best escape room yet! I've done at least 3 others that are in Las Vegas and here in my hometown, is this gem of an escape room! The set up was amazing and planned out perfectly. With only myself and my friend and 3 clues to get to the last section and 1 in the last section, we were stuck and had only 10 min remaining. Kevin, who is the owner, was super chill and allowed us to attempt to finish while he put back the other rooms we got through. He is awesome and has great people skills and was kind enough to answer my questions during the briefing and after the escape room. He also promoted the next room for a future visit. We had our picture taken in the briefing room with whichever sign we wanted. Some of the signs were pretty funny. We are definitely coming back to check out his next escape room that's currently under construction which is to open in 4 weeks or so. I highly recommend 10/10 to try The Heist Escape Room! I took my team to Heist Escape Room for team building and we had a great time. This is my third escape room adventure but was the first time for most of my team. The Diamond heist theme was interactive and quite challenging. Kevin, the owner was very friendly and gave us instructions and clues when we asked. We didn't finish the challenge but it was fun and exciting. Afterwards, Kevin went over the rest of the challenge and at the end, took pictures of our team. This was my 13th escape room. Puzzles (7/10) Diamond heist had fairly medium difficulty puzzles. Nothing was too difficult with a few easy puzzles. There was a mix of "lock and key" and technological puzzles, 25% to 75% respectively. The puzzles generally had great connection to the storyline with a few side puzzles thrown in that didn't connect to the story. There wasn't any puzzle that I was astonished by or felt like I've never seen before. Set and Immersion (9/10) I was generally impressed by how immersive this place was. I actually felt like a thief especially with a nice twist they throw in the middle of the game. The middle room felt a little under decorated but adequate for the storyline. I wish there was a separate debriefing room rather than having it done in the actual escape room, but the space is a little tight for that. Game master (9/10) Our game master was pretty interactive and explained the storyline. We didn't get out in the end, but our game master gave a walkthrough of the next few puzzles. Only thing that kind of took away from the immersion is our game master starting the timer on his watch and walking out the room. Verdict: I'd highly recommend this for someone who has done a few escape rooms. This room is not too difficult for beginners, but I think it's more enjoyable when you have done a few rooms! Definitely a place that's in my top 7 rooms I've done. Will be back to try out their new room when it's ready! read more
