But here I am, Ms. Ruthy coming in 7 days a week, not to brag , but sometimes I'm working out even twice a day!! Cuz I love it that much. Look I only have good things to say about FLX Fitclub. The instructors are so friendly, enthusiastic and very helpful. Everyone I have met in the classes have been so kind and welcoming. The gym itself is always really clean, organized and everything is wiped down after it has been used. So far I haven't taken a class that I didn't like. I feel like there are a lot of different options, depending on what your looking for. I really enjoy their cycling classes. Body pump is a must. I've felt comfortable enough to try things that I have never tried before like Barre, it was definitely harder then it looks. Then Sh'Bam was something I'd never thought I'd like and It is SO much fun. The class goes by so quickly. I love the Bodyflow and core classes on Fridays. It's a Great workout to do back to back, You feel very zen and sweaty. I have yet to try BodyCombat, BodyAttack and Grit. Not gonna lie, I'm a little nervous, but I'll report back and let you know what I think. Look...if you're looking for a clean gym with an array of great classes, amazing instructors and a fun crew of people to work out with. FLX is for you. Over the past four years, they have purchased new equipment, and bought adjacent buildings/rooms to give their customers more space and selection. The staff is very friendly and flexible for students and people coming in and out of Ithaca as long as you're upfront with them. As a gym alone, it's certainly the best gym in Ithaca amongst it's competitors, and one of my favorites that I've ever been apart of.

They really get to know their clients and make working out enjoyable. The bootcamps that I attend seem to fly by! They are super knowledgable and are always willing to help you work on whatever you feel you need to work on. It's a positive atmosphere where you can feel free to ask questions and share some laughs. They have really fun and interesting monthly group activities that you can sign up for. ShockYard also gives back to the community by participating in workouts and tying them into some kind of community service. They've participated in kickball tournaments to raise money for dog rescues, Relay for Life walks, and kayaking and hiking while cleaning up Morton Park. I would recommend this gym to anyone who is looking to get a great workout while having fun.

When exploring it was very difficult to navigate as there was little to no signage for the trails. We explored around back as the lodge was closed. All of the animals were relocated elsewhere, which I prefer personally seemed very small of an establishment to maintain any animal life. There is a short walk to the back field and there is an awesome 6-story treehouse that you can go in and climb around. We explored for a bit and went on our way. Definitely a neat feature to check out for a quick time kill.

Fortunately because you're hiking in a gorge and in dense woods the air quality didn't bother us. And we were rewarded with a gorgeous hike! The hike was gorgeous, but definitely has lots of steps, so be warned. If you don't feel like hiking, there is a shallow (7ft deep) swimming hole with a lifeguard on duty, clean bathrooms and lots of space for picnics I would come back here again and recommend the park to others.

Lastly, for an extra special butt kicking, try paddleboard yoga. Tory is Ithaca's first and only instructor. It's a serious challenge, but awesome to plunk in the water when you get hot.
