It's an open-air bar with live music, pool tables, slot machines, and outdoor seating. It was the local experience I had been craving, since we had only been in San Juan until then. San Juan is fun too, but I grew tired of passing by Burger Kings and other chains I don't even go to at home.
The employees didn't speak English, so it was fun having to put our Spanish to the test to order. We also made some new friends who helped us out. We got fried yucca, octopus, plantains, mojitos, and they gave us a fried masa/beef stick to try with a spicy guava sauce--amazing.
They had live music, and people were going up to take their turn performing. It was so much fun. This was probably one of my favorite nights in Puerto Rico--good people, great music, and fun energy all around. I was thrilled we found this place! And we even went home with a bottle of the spicy guava sauce as a souvenir!
