This is meant to be constructive criticism for Mr. Moffatt so that he may learn from our…read moreexperience with his law firm this past several months in dealing with our daughter's divorce. I used Mr. Moffatt years ago for my bankruptcy from a previous marriage, he did a fine job, no issues. However, this being the first time I've seen his skills regarding divorce has been disappointing. Even the front desk lady has such poor customer service skills, it's frustrating just calling the office. Not ALL divorces are the same & I feel like the first few months of our daughters divorce process, he just assumed it would be cut & dry. However, this involved control, manipulative behavior, & emotional abuse. Her spouse has Bipolar & possible multiple personalities. It was just the two of them, no children. She had been living with us since Nov. 20, 2020. We told Moffatt we both had texts of her ex being verbally abusive. The house had been on the market until the ex's mental capacity got worse. When moving our daughter's belongings out in March, we saw the damage to the house & even brand new appliances. She contacted Moffatt that Monday & told him. It was during this conversation that we sent him pictures via email of the damage, THIS is when she felt like he finally saw just how serious this was! We just feel like she isn't any closer to ending this divorce, nor selling that house. She feels like more could have been done sooner in her divorce proceedings. Mr. Moffatt is hard to get a hold of, he hasn't been responding to her emails, so she has to call to see if any progress is being made. It's just been unprofessional.

He says one thing and does another. Please STAY AWAY!!!! He has been paid since the month following my mother's demise and this is too much to deal with.
