I got all the way to to…read more3 months before graduation only to get unfairly terminated from my internship FOR SOMETHING THAT I WASNT EVEN MADE AWARE OF. A few of the staff promised they would help me find a job but never did. They would call me for bogus hiring events for STAFFING AGENCIES that wasn't even really hiring. This place is a total SCAM and they are for PROFIT. They act like you're family but you are just a dollar sign. Sooooooo many or their previous students from their previous classes from as far as 10 years ago are more still come to the school STILL LOOKING FOR A JOB.. when I got accepted into this program I had just found out I was pregnant. I chose to abort it because i couldn't really afford to care for a child as well as myself and the admissions also told me they do not accept people if they are pregnant. They said I would have to sit out until I had the baby. Several girls got knocked up and they were still allowed to complete the program! When I was terminated from my internship I was not allowed to walk across the stage, even though I recieved credits but they let others who WERE ALSO TERMINATED, GRADUATE. ONE OF THE BOYS GOT FIRED FROM HIS INTERNSHIP CAUSE HE SHOWED UP TO WORK HIGH. THEY STILL GAVE HIM AN OPPORTUNITY TO GRADUATE!!! They pick and choose they're favorites and who they want to help succeed. Seriously it's sad and disgusting and no better than run down JOB CORPS. They all about money money money and you are just there to continue to get funding from major companies and after that, even after you graduate THEY DO NOT CARE what happens to you. They like to target young black kids living in poverty and use them as poster children like they are really trying to help those kids by "creating an opportunity divide" telling their tragedies to these wealthy companies to GAIN FUNDING only to turn their nose and their backs on them after everything is all said and done. This is for profit trust me and it's more people struggling since they completed this program than actually benefiting. Only a select few. MY ADVICE IS JUST GO TO COLLEGE. You will have to go eventually anyway if you want to work for majority of where their internships are. They pay unfairly. You will not be able to live off these stipends. You get $200 EVERY TWO weeks the first 6 months and then it increases to $300 once you go on internship. OH AND EVERYONE DOES NOT GET PAID THE SAME AMOUNT EITHER. One guy that was on the same internship as me was getting paid $520 while I was getting measly $390 EVERY 2 WEEKS, while you are working on an internship with ppl who are hired on with the company making 40k-70k salaries and you're struggling for PENNIES working FULL TIME HOURS. YES I SAID FULL TIME 8-5, 5 days a week (sometimes more). It's a complete joke. They tell you to trust the process and will know all your struggles only to tell you towards the end that there is nothing they can do for you. All the staff there is fake and phony. Every. Last. One. Of. Them. Majority of them have their own business and works for somewhere else and could give 2 craps about working there.. or the students unless you end up becoming successful. One of the teachers told our class not to add her on LinkedIn unless you get hired on their internship. This program is going to end up just like job corps ALL RUN DOWN. When you don't do good business and treat people unfairly you will not prosper as a business!!! The manager, Renee, was off work and her replacement could not answer any questions about the T V that had an illegible note on it that read. "a pink line is running down the side of the screen." Other than that problem, there was no other indication of any technological issues with the T V, which made it seem like a good deal. In the store, it was hooked up to a DVD player that was playing a movie. After purchasing the television, I took it home and connected it to my cable, but to my consternation, the picture did not show. I called Amazon support for assistance; however, they were not able to get the picture to display, which they surmised was due to the television not receiving the signal. On Sept. 7, 2021, after Labor Day, I went into the Goodwill store and spoke with the manager, Renee, requesting a refund, for a TV they put on the shelf that was not working, but she flatly refused, stating it's against store policy to give refunds for electronic purchases. Renee directed me to call Goodwill's Corporate office. Needless to say, that was to no avail. My experience at this Goodwill was unfair and their policy is not good customer service or ethical business practices.

Finally, after 2 of us called repeatedly for days, one of us got through. The lady was able to get a sack of non-perishable foods. If I hadn't been available for that appointment to take her there, she wouldn't have gotten anything. BCM is not a good option for a needy person due to bad management. I would not donate to it until they get their act together.
