I cannot say enough good things about Hemet Flooring Plus. We own a home in Idyllwild and had experienced a downstairs flood when some tree roots grew into a sewage coupler and caused a clog. There was mostly carpet down there and some bamboo in the bathroom. I called around and asked Aloha insurance who they recommended, and they said to try Hemet Flooring (Plus). I called and Ryan made an appointment with me. He met me at the property, and I explained that I had already purchased some porcelain tile planks that looked like wood (cabin feel). He gave me a very detailed estimate for labor and installation including the installation materials needed to do the job. I discussed it with him, and he agreed to also install new baseboard that was ruined by the flood and make sure everything look showroom ready when he left. He also said our floor was not quite level, and he needed to so some work to level it with self-levelling concrete. This was something I did not even know about, and boy am I glad he did that. The sub floor he put in was beautiful, and made the tile lay perfect. He scheduled a date and said he had his two best installers, Wes and Joe on their way (bright and early). These two gents were very cordial and professional and did an outstanding job (see photos). These guys stayed on the job until it was finished (3 days) and worked their rear ends off. While this was going on Ryan was coming and going and checking on everything making sure all was going to plan. They grinded down the tack strips and removed some old linoleum, etc. Ryan brought up grout samples and then the grout once we selected the color. He also made sure everything stayed within budget. Overall, this was a totally professional well run team and experience and they deserve 6 stars if I could give them. Ryan is a one of a kind guy who puts his whole heart into his work. He literally responds within minutes 24/7, though this is not expected. A very fine and bright gent for sure! Wes and Joe compliment his work ethic by doing the same. I was inspired to ensure they always had fresh water available, hot coffee in the morning (they start early), some lunches and a tip at the end. They deserved it. First class treatment from beginning to end. You can tell. when a business cares and puts their heart into their mission. Although I can not confirm, I think that his workers are all relatively new to this industry or are just getting all the kinks out. Cons: Seemingly relatively inexperienced (Workers), Slightly unprofessional (Workers), Inconsistencies in flooring (Detailed Work). In the end, I'd recommend Ryan and his workers. First off, I want to say I don't write many reviews but when I do they are well deserved. I'm a retired Marine so praise doesn't come easily especially for contractors. During my last 20 years before I retired I worked with contractors pretty much on a daily basis. I'm doing this only because they have earned it and so others can take advantage of working with a group that is professional and easy to work with. We had the carpet that was on our steps and landing replaced with lament flooring. Ryan was very easy to work with and very professional and on time (big thing in my book). After coming out he turned around the quote in a timely manner and was very detailed in the document. Once I accepted the quote he had us scheduled the following week. Note we have a curved staircase making the task even more challenging. The crew sent out was Austin and Doug, both were prompt and focused on the job at hand. In the end (2 day install), they had transitioned our staircase into a thing of beauty. Again the installers were professional and yet personable, was glad to have them in our home. We absolutely love our kitchen and it is now where we spend the most time, thanks to Ryan's quality work and great eye for design! We got multiple quotes to redo our kitchen and the floors on the first floor, and not only did HFP come in at an extremely reasonable price, but Ryan gave off such great vibes -- we knew we had to pick him. Sure enough, he went beyond our expectations! He listened to what we wanted and worked with us to quickly make a 3D model to go along with the quote. He tweaked it with our requests, whereas other contractors were not willing to make a model until we agreed to work with them. Once we signed with Ryan, he quickly got the work scheduled and the project was over in a flash! His pricing is extremely reasonable, his workers were extremely professional, and they delivered really high-quality results. I loved how responsive Ryan was via text, and he never made me feel annoying with any of my questions or requests. We were most nervous about the cabinets, because I have seen others redo their kitchen and get low quality, but Ryan's cabinets are beautiful and clearly very high-quality. The flooring was also done extremely well. We had our upstairs floors done by a different contractor and had to have them come back to fix several poorly sized boards. Ryan got it right the first time with no need for touch ups! We did notice just a couple of back splash tiles were not leveled properly, and when I told Ryan, he apologized profusely and sent someone out the very next day to fix it -- I was amazed! Other contractors have taken weeks to rectify work that was far worse than this little detail, but Ryan had it addressed immediately at no extra charge. (I honestly didn't even expect anyone to fix it! Pleasant surprise!) When Ryan says he stands by his work always, no matter how long after the project, he means it!! We rely on Reviews to select businesses we need so hopefully this review for Hemet Flooring Plus helps anyone who is looking for flooring. This may be a long review but this company deserves it. We had a leak and needed to replace approximately 1800 sqft of flooring. We wanted our new kitchen flooring to match what we had in the laundry room next to it. And then we were considering putting that same flooring all through the house or if that was too expensive just having new carpet in the other areas. Based on reviews, we had 4 flooring companies give us an estimate. We really liked Ryan /Hemet Flooring Plus's strong reviews so we looked forward to meeting him. He was swamped so was the last one to stop by. We are SO GLAD we waited! The other three companies told us they would not be able to match the hard flooring we wanted And tried to sell us flooring that they wach thought would be close enough Which was not close at all. My husband and I shared that the flooring we wanted was available online. Still their response was negative. "Can't be sure we can find it...etc" ONLY RYAN LISTENED, had a quick check while we were on the phone, and said "Yes sure, I can get that!" Wonderful to have someone give us a positive response! When hRyan came over it was clear that he could do the job quickly once we were on the schedule But we needed to get some repairs done before Ryan's crew could start. Ryan was patient throughout That coordination process. It turned out that the water damage caused by the leak would require more extensive work than we imagined. So we had to get that done first before Ryan could do his part. Ryan's flexibility here was such a relief. He meanwhile ordered our flooring and let us know when he received it. Ryan was GREAT at checking in throughout and providing updates. We also appreciate that he went with what we wanted without hesitation. We liked hearing "yes we can do that" rather than hesitation or negatives. We did end up going with carpet for most of the house and loved the quality and selection that Ryan gave us. The work that had to be done before Ryan's crew could start ended up taking about 3 mos to complete. Again Ryan's flexibility and good humor was super! He knows his business well. We also liked his calm demeanor, positivity, fast responses, great time management, and the way he spoke highly of his crews. Wesley installed the kitchen hard flooring including two pantry closets and he had to replace some of the subfloor. we had some flooring left so Wesley also did a bar area.
