    Phnom Penh style dry noodles
    Karen T.

Beautifully decorated restaurant with nostalgic furniture and art reminiscent of Southeast Asia. The servers were quick, patient and kind. Their drinks are top tier. We got the pandan coffee with coconut foam and pandan limeade. So refreshing and hit the spot. We were very excited to try their hae keung appetizer but it fell short for us. The filling was on the mushy side. It would've been nicer to have the texture of shrimp chunks and water chestnut chunks. To be fair, we were comparing it to a memory of old. The papaya salad was nice and fresh, but could've used slightly more funk from the shrimp paste. Also got the dry noodles dish, phnom penh style, with the thick egg noodles. The broth that came with it was delicious, the noodles also fell a bit flat with the sauce. All three dishes felt close to what we remember but not quite there. Overall not bad, we walked away full but sadly our cravings were not satisfied. Based on previous reviews we just might have to try some other dishes.

Wow wow wow. This place deserves a million out of 5 stars. Such delish food and so many amazing options. My friend and I got a noodle appetizer to share which was so refreshing and flavorful. And I got the chicken which was so tasty and ended with the pandan mango sticky rice. Cannot wait to come back here hopefully soon!!

My second time dining in this location. They definitely have perfected the Phnom Penh Kuyteav broth. The first time, I tried the dry version and it was good but I felt something was missing. This time I tired the soup version and it was 10x's better. I also had the spring rolls and their Vietnamese iced coffee. Everything was delicious. Service was fast and great. Place was packed.

This place knocks it out of the park from ambience, to service and food. The restaurant is spacious, clean, and well decorated. Our server was very friendly and was able to make recommendations for some of the dishes. She was also attentive without being overbearing. The Lort Cha was the favorite of the meal. It was flavorful and had good "wok hei". I can't wait to come back to try some other dishes!

I love the aesthetic and decor of this restaurant. The food is good too and there aren't that many Cambodian restaurants in this area, so I was interested in trying the food. The servers were also helpful and helped decide which dishes to get. The drinks were delicious but definitely on the sweeter side. My favorite dishes were the Beef Kuy Teav, the taste is similar to pho, and the Kaw Ko. The Kaw Ko was very tender and the stew was super flavorful. The Ngam Nov had a clean broth and it was light, so I think it would be perfect for breakfast. The portions on the noodle soups were also generous, and bigger than I expected. The crispy egg noodle dish wasn't my favorite because I didn't love the texture of the fried noodles, but that's just personal preference.

I haven't had Cambodian food until eating here. They serve a variety of dishes that were flavorful with decent portions. I typically get the phnom penh and appreciate that it includes organ meats. The interior is well decorated and I haven't had to wait to be seated the two times I have been there. Service is fast and excellent. Overall a very positive experience

Stopped by for Saturday lunch and it was busy - I can see why! Super flavorful dishes, amazing service, and spacious interior. We started off with the lemongrass beef skewers. It came with a side of pickled vegetables. We ordered the House Special Mee Katang and Beef Kit Teav Kouk (Dry Noodles). The dry noodles were the highlight of my meal! You get to customize the type of noodles, and we picked the mix of rice & egg noodle. The difference in texture is something I didn't know I needed in my life. It came with a beef broth with a piece of bone marrow. (Truly chefs kiss) We finished the meal with an iced pandan coffee. Highly recommend!

A great Teochew noodle with Cambodian fusion cuisine. They has opened in the Asian shopping plaza for a year but I never noticed that when I stopped by for grocery shopping. My whole family came here a for an early dinner after playing 2-h of pickleball among six of us. The noodles are served in soup of dry style, so we order both in various options choosing wide noodle. The dry noodles serves with pork bone soup on the side was excellent. The traditional noodle soup (Kuy Teaw) was another great option. The saté option on the noodle soup provides additional spiciness taste. Love the Hae Keung as the appetizer. The papaya salad has a unique and refreshing flavor. We are definitely coming back with other family member for more dining experience here.

I've been to Heng Seng about 3 times now. Two of those were back to back within one week because of how good it was. The workers are extremely kind, and the service is shockingly quick (every time we have had our food within 15 minutes, including entrees, I have truly never been so impressed with service before). I'm a neighborhood local and this place is truly a GEM and too empty for my liking, so a 5-Star review it deserves. My first time here I got the Pandan Coffee and Phnom Penh Noodles Dry with soup on the side and the Fried Dough. Second time I got the Fried Rice Special with everything in it and the shrimp tempura. My boyfriend has gotten the Phnom Penh Soup and Shrimp Soup and the limeade. We have thoroughly enjoyed EVERYTHING here and love it. For the things I've tried: Noodle/soup dishes are light, flavorful, and delicious. 4/5 Fried rice is heavier and you will want to take a nap after, but flavorful and so so so good. Think the Asian cuisine version of a really good pasta dish. 4.5/5 Fried dough is so simple yet so good every time, and plain addictive. 5/5. Shrimp tempura I almost wanted to order two of. 5/5. Pandan Coffee with cold foam is so good I've ordered it to go. 1000/5. Pandan Limeade, refreshing but a little strange, 3/5. Give Heng Seng a try if you're in the area (or if you're not) you won't regret it! Stop by the S.mart Life (Asian beauty store) and Huong Vuong Food Market (Asian grocery store) next door while you're here. I highly recommend it!

Finally got the chance to try Heng Seng Cherry Hill and it did not disappoint! Everything was delicious and service was great very attentive. Would definitely love to come back and try other dishes on the menu. MUST TRY their Pandan Limeade my fave it was so good I got one to go!

Finally got the chance to come try this spot out and I'm so happy I did. Place is very nicely decorated and clean. Service was excellent. Servers were very attentive and nice. Food was very good, definitely want to come back and try out other food on the menu. Had their entree special with the beef stew and noodles. Ordered beef skewers as well and they were both delicious. For drinks, you must order the pandan coffee with coconut foam on top. That was so good and would definitely come back for that. They also had a pandan limeade as part of their special and that was pretty good as well. Highly recommend this spot and I'll definitely be back.

My favorite Cambodian noodle spot just opened a new location in Cherry Hill, NJ! The OG in South Philly is still my go-to, but the new spot is great, plenty of parking, bigger space inside, and an expanded menu with more dishes and drinks. I loved the coconut juice with pandan foam and coconut meat, so refreshingly good! The only downside was that the soup that comes with the dry noodles was cold, even on my second visit. Overall, the ambiance is cozy, service and food are great, but we'll still keep going back to the original location!

I ate the house special crispy noodles 3x in 1 week! Also, I'm addicted to their Vietnamese coffee with pandan foam! I would drive 20mins 1 way just to pick up coffee from here. The staff is warm and welcoming, always pleasant and welcomes you with a smile. The few times I've picked up take out food/coffee from here and they're busy, they would acknowledge me arriving and tend to me as soon as they're able. This is a very family and kid friendly establishment. They do have high chairs and have enough space that you're not seated too close to other diners. I've dined in with our whole family, that's including 3-4yo kids, they're very accommodating. Their bone broth which is usually served as a side is full of umami. Even if my meal does not come with it, I always order it as an extra side. A few of the dishes they serve, I've had before because my mother in law makes them (chinese-vietnamese style), and they make it even better here at HengSeng! If you haven't yet tried the crispy egg noodles then you're missing out! It is ?deep friend yellow egg noodles so very crispy, topped with a gravy-like sauce that comes with your choice of protein (seafood, beef, or both). It's the best! When the noodles sit in the gravy for a few minutes, it softens but does not get soggy. That bite is full of flavor and textures, crispy and hearty at the same time! The other dish I like from here is the loc-lac which is well flavored beef cubes, tender and you just can't have 1 bite. It comes with the bone broth soup, rice, and veggies. Then there's the deep friend tofu stuffed with meat and seafood . Amazing! They have plenty of other specialty noodle dishes that my entire family loves! They actually have a variety of noodles to choose from as your base. One of our favorite no nonsense no gimmick Asian restaurants in South Jersey! The interior is very clean. It is located in a shopping strip next to the huge Vietnamese supermarket, Hungvong, and has plenty of parking space.

The vibes are "cozy, coffee snob but they're cool about." We decide to go with an Americano for me, a cappuccino for the misses, two breakfast sandwiches and a peanut butter chocolate muffin for The Little One. Meh. My Americano tasted like TEA. Like straight up Earl Gray. I let The Misses try before I told her what I ordered, and she said, "why did you order TEA?" By that point, it was busy and I didn't feel like making a fuss about it, but if you dilute my DOUBLE espresso so much it tastes like tea, or you just straight up gave me the wrong drink, we are off to a bad start. The misses Cappuccino cup was half full, and half of that half was foam. And the part that wasn't foam wasn't even good. I'm sensing that you just shouldn't get anything involving espresso from the ol Brown Dog Cafe. The breakfast sandwiches were also.....meh. They worked, but absolutely nothing you couldn't get microwaved from Starbucks or Dunkin. Now the muffin was an absolute winner. I'll give Mimi her credit here. Maybe they should turn into a bakery and forego the coffee stuff. ANYwho...I don't see a reason to go back. Our table was dirty where we sat, and we actually just cleaned it ourselves with wipes before sitting down. We cleaned it ourselves after for whomever would come in after us, since it was clear the staff weren't going to do it. It's a cozy place to settle in and eat a muffin and maybe a regular coffee, but I certainly wouldn't be ordering another Americano from them anytime soon.

Just going to stop by since I was in the area. The bakery is in this shopping center and the parking lot was pretty full when I arrived Sunday afternoon. I agree with the reviewers that this place is small. I felt that I wanted to take my time looking at items but the space felt crowded while looking. Overall they had many options to choose some but there were some empty looking shelves in the far back. I managed to get a few items to try and a slice of cake. There are kiosks to also order drinks. The line was long but moved quickly. The items I tried: Cheesy hot dog: pretty good! very sweet bread with a tiny hot dog. White Chocolate strawberry: delicious strawberry filling. The bun was soft and not overly sweet. Berry bun: I got the very last one! DELISH! The bun of milky, soft and berry filled. My favorite probably. Taro bun: HUGE! Love the taro paste but the bread was alittle off since there was seeds in it. Not loving that texture Tiramisu cheesecake: very good fluffy cheesecake. Would have liked more tiramisu/coffee flavor. Chocolate bun: Another favorite. Very good chocolate fudge on the inside. Wish I bought 10 of theses. Egg tarts: I got the two pack. Wish I got the full box (maybe next time). Flaky buttery crust with sweet egg custard. Also a favorite. Overall everything I got was really good. I also loved that the prices were very affordable ($2-5). The only thing I would add is maybe to have more a description and allergens added to the cards so people with allergies could identify what they can and cannot eat. Cant wait to come back and maybe try one of the drinks :)

Management and ownership have never attended a tea service or researched how to host one Each table is limited to two selections and two pots of tea. Don't agree? Oh well. Refills? Extra charge. But wait you actually receive three pots of tea because upon seating a pot of the "seasonal" herbal tea is served whether you like it or not.m Additionally serving milk with black tea selections is apparently not standard practice here and needs to be specifically requested. The Earl Grey tea is excellent First course: salad. Hopefully no one in your party has severe nut allergies because before even taking tea selections a plate of spring mix buried under a pile of walnuts is dropped in front of you. Those in our party able to eat the salad did not enjoy it Second course: savouries. Finger sandwiches were fresh. Chicken salad was excellent. Egg salad on croissant was good I personally disagree with quiche being served as it's non-traditional but it is accepted in many circles and the quiche was also good However I have absolutely no doubt that the chicken salad and egg salad were scooped out of premade tubs from Sysco or Restaurant Depot judging by the sweets Scones: underbaked. Disappointing given reviews raving about them. Maybe we received a bad batch maybe the local population has never had a decent scone. Will not be returning to find out Presumably since the savoury scone (an abomination in my opinion) was served in the same course as a sweet scone the only butter served was a savoury herb butter. As a result there was no butter available for the "butterscotch" scone and there would not have been enough anyway considering we received about a tablespoon of butter and two tablespoons of both other toppings between five people The "clotted cream" has been addressed as it was the most offensive part of enduring this experience. Rather than a traditional jam or marmalade none of which we were served we were given a "mango compote." How someone decided mango and butterscotch are complementary I have no idea. Anyone in this industry would recognize Reàl purée squeezed out of a plastic bottle Sweets: thaw and serve La Boulangerie des Gourmets frozen macarons (which include a pistachio flavor and are packaged in one tray so again watch for nut allergies if you think you're safe eating a lemon macaron as this obviously isn't disclosed). I see these are being sold separately outside of the tea service 6/$14. They are 57¢ ea Chocolate mousse mix piped into a plastic cup with a processed whipped topping. The most edible dessert Menu lists lemon cheesecake server identified small tarts as key lime pie. Not sure which we received but can note the filling at least (probably not the tart shell) is made in house because we received more than one batch with one having not even a hint of citrus Saving the worst for last the "strawberry" cupcake. First and foremost cupcakes chocolate mousse and macarons (and most egregious cannolis listed on the children's menu) are not standard sweets served with afternoon tea. But this cupcake? The cupcakes we were served here were the driest cake I have ever seen in my life completely inedible. The frosting was some sort of processed palm oil goo and neither cake nor frosting had any strawberry flavor Atmosphere and service: service was friendly albeit casual slow and not attentive. Server was not very knowledgeable. Not her fault Space was fine if gaudy. Table was crowded. I share another reviewer's sentiment but the table cloth was about a foot longer than the table was high which made sitting movement or pushing a chair in difficult. It felt like wearing a heavy blanket that was pulled taut the entire experience Paper napkins and plastic dishes. At over $40 per person you would expect more As a side note standard afternoon tea practice is being offered or asking for additional items the guests like. However the menu had prices listed for additional sides of all items served on the tea service. Given the quality vs cost this felt particularly gauche It's hard to comprehend why the owners or management here can't get the tea service right. The hardest part is finger sandwiches and freshness which they seem to have managed. Good quality premade desserts are available and scones are not difficult to make. It honestly seems like a lack of effort on their part or a lack of respect for their customers which is frustrating All in all a very expensive abysmal experience. I'm sure there are decent afternoon teas available in this area at a similar price. Fortnum and Mason and the Covent Garden Hotel in London both known for afternoon teas charge £45 per person Two stars for the chicken salad server and Earl Grey
