Behind the City Hall offices there are two ice arena's, a covered pavilion where they have music in the park, a playground, and soccer fields. There are tons of walking paths that surround Minnehaha Creek. Ample parking too. The city offers great community education, sports activities, and events for all ages. In the summer, they have a local Farmers Market on Tuesdays. My daughter loves the fall open house where you can tour the police and fire station. They usually have a Army military helicopter, food, and games. It's a huge turn out! My favorite is the annual fireworks... What a display! Great Minnesota city to live in!

This location's parking lot is very small, but there is so much street parking close by it's not a problem. They have two windows to help you with your packages and purchases. Plus two large wooden tables on each side of the doors to finish your addressing of letters of addition of stamps. The service is helpful, but doesn't always feel super speedy. But who cares! Look around this beautiful little building! It looks and feels like a museum. It seems to have frozen time from when it was built, which was on the eve of WWII. The Minnetonka Avenue office was built in 1941 under the Works Progress Administration during the Great Depression. Its antique features -- dark mahogany millwork, a green- and rose-colored tile floor, and Mankato marble paneling -- are a striking snapshot of the era. The bas relief eagle greets you above the outside doors to remind you of this awesome government gem of a building and it's ability to capture a specific feeling of a time in the distant past when milk was delivered to your door and Wayzata was turning into a town and not just a turn off the century vacation spot.

They also have bins for donations cause it appears it's all based on volunteers who run everything. If you can, please give. Inside the place is very much how it looked back in the 1800's. They have a cute scavenger hunt, train whistle the kids can pull, and other volunteers inside that will answer all your wonderful questions. Glad we found this place for our little train engineer.

Jenny was very generous with her time and helped us figure out exactly what type of safari we should book given our preferences. She answered every question we had and meticulously planned everything so we would have the trip of a lifetime. We're not used to traveling in luxury, so we initially thought we could do without some of the details Jenny recommended, but in then end we realized everything Jenny recommended was well worth it. Jenny always gave us options within our budget, but also gave us a good understanding of what we could get for a bit below and above our budget. The only "hiccup" we had was one of our regional flights got cancelled, except Jenny and the team took care of it without us even knowing. All we had to agree to was to fly on a private plane at no extra cost to us, which was actually better than our original flight, which got cancelled. So no stress / worries / cost on our part, which was great. Overall everything went very smoothly. We're used to dealing with small problems / adjusting our plans when we travel, but this experience was flawless.
