Allowed him to ingest 5 tubes of toothpaste after he had already made an attempt and had SI. RESULTING IN HIM HAVING TO BE TRANSFERRED TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM!!!!!!! #3. I ask for a transfer to Fayetteville to Vantage Point because I did not feel he was being properly taken care of. The woman told me that they sent the transfer over and I called day after day and they DID NOT! #4. They denied me and my son his rights of care by lying to me and telling me that they would transfer him. #5. Every single day they were calling me telling me something else was going on. At one point when he was being restrained, he was kicked in the face when protocol is for them to clear the area when restraining a child or person. #6. After I got on them and told them I would be taking legal action against them, my son was MIRACULOUSLY better the next day. So many other things happened that it is LITERALLY too much to even add. He was only in there for 9 days!!! DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILDREN HERE!! Take the extra time and send your children somewhere better PLEASE!

I was held against my will and continuously offered mind altering…read moremedications that staff was informed I couldn't take due to a genetic variation that would cause myself to be poisoned. All when suffering from an E. coli infection and exhaustion and the hope of creating my end-of-life care directive. I asked for cranberry juice and was told that this wasn't that kind of hospital. I begged to be allowed to seek proper medical treatment at a hospital able to diagnose and treat the infection in a timelier and more affordable manner but was held against my will without treatment until my release. Male staff came into the room I was held in and argued with me at night. When I became upset and told them that I had been the victim of abuse and that I had training that specifically stated their behavior was contraindicated for the situation. They stated that they had the right to be there and I had no rights whatsoever considering the fact that I was there. This was when a staff member had already been in place several hours with no incident. My HIPAA information was shared over speakerphone in front of my son without my permission. Staff carried and used their cell phones around the facility where people were held. Patient's private information was shared in front of others without consideration. A grievance was filed immediately but I don't expect that anyone actually looks into these things. After years of trying, I give up. I have been made to feel that it is unreasonable for a patient to ask for and be supported in a manner that they feel improves the quality of their life.
