I am a regular subscriber to the newspaper. I especially enjoy the puzzles. I'm not terribly computer savvy, so the HP is a great place to get caught up on local news. I also like reading the paper online (included with subscription) every morning before going to work. The HP is a great value for the money. read more

Prices have gone crazy. I don't get home delivery anymore but I try to get a paper when there's an article about someone or something I'm interested in, which is about 2 times a month. Even at that rate, I question if I should bother. Wish print media wasn't dying because it was my dream as a kid to be a journalist and write this paper since it runs in my hometown. I had home delivery and internet for well over 20 yrs. for home delivery, but when they stopped everyday delivery, then Sunday delivery, and the pages went from 30 to 20, including jobs, and sales, the price stayed the same???? I refuse to pay over $340 a year for a newspaper that takes less than 5 minutes to read. I'm doing just fine without any paper. read more

Very very bad delivery service and no one seems to care, I am a senior citizen on fixed incom and only get paper delivered on Sunday. There is a leat 5 times in the year that I will not get a paper or they deliver it on Monday and they always say they will give me credit but I pay yearly and never get the credit. I did not receive it yesterday I called circulation the lady said there is no reason why I did not get it that she would put in for it to be redelivered. Well Monday still no paper I called and canceled my subscription and told them to send me a refund. Outrageous prices for home delivery! Crazy. And the website is essentially blocked unless you pay for a costly subscription. Time for Hp to get with The Times (fun pun there). ; ) I rated it one star only because "0" stars is not an option. Hp could learn some things about the news industry from other small circulation papers which are far more customer-conscious and responsive to reader feedback. We don't need or want the Palladium, anyway. We get local news stories (for free!) from TV news websites. It's a good thing we have options - I'd hate to have to rely on Hp for my news. read more

We went on a trip and had delivery stopped via the internet. When we returned I had delivery resumed, also via the internet. However, we did not receive a paper the next day so I went to the office to get a paper and asked that delivery be restarted. My address was written down and I was told that the delivery person would be notified. Still no paper delivery. It's been three days. This morning I called and waited and waited and waited. Finally I hung up. This is a poorly managed company when a customer has this much difficulty trying to get a newspaper delivered, especially when they already have it prepaid. Home delivery IS terrible!! I live out in the country on a dirt road.As a subscriber I was told by the delivery person that he would not deliver to me because my road was too bumpy. I,however get mail deliveries,UPS deliveries,FED EX deliveries,trash pick-up with no complaints. Nonetheless, I cancelled my subscription. read more
