I found Dr. Rahimi's clinic through an online search, and even though I work across the street at…read moreMethodist Richardson Medical Center, I didn't know there was an Allergy clinic so close by! I decided to go in for a consultation due to the proximity of where I lived. I called to make an appointment, and I specifically told the staff that I wanted an allergy test done, and the lady I spoke to was very informative where she told me to stop taking my over-the-counter anti-histamine meds 1 week prior to my appointment (this advice ended up saving me an extra trip to the doctors, because apparently it would have skewed the allergy skin test if I had continued taking it.) So the day of the appointment: I checked in as a new patient and was surprised to find no actual paperwork to sign - everything was electronically signed with the assistant up front. Free coffee in the waiting area, and the wait time was relatively short. My nurse took my history down electronically and then went to get Dr. Rahimi. He's awesome!! He took the time to explain EVERYTHING to me, down to what caused my allergies and the treatment options. I even ended up asking him several questions about some of my past diagnosis with other doctor specialties, and he was very patient and answered my questions thoroughly to the best of his knowledge. The nurse did my skin test on my back. It only takes 15 mins to get the results, so afterwards Dr. Rahimi went over it with me. Out of the 61 scratches, I came back positive for 40! Dr. Rahimi had a very nice way of putting that I was a rare case where I was almost allergic to everything haha. We talked about a plan for allergy shots, to help my immune system build up a tolerance for my allergens. He told me about a "rush day" I had to complete at first, and told me what it consisted of. Then the nurse came back and explained medication instructions to me, with an easy-to-read paper handout. I also thought I would have to go get the medications filled at a pharmacy, but she already prepared the tablets in a neat baggy that was labeled with which medications to take and when. What a convenience! When I was checking out, I was surprised to learn that an assistant already checked with my insurance to see what was covered for my 2-3 year allergy shot plan. Furthermore, as I was waiting for her to collect my co-pay, she came back and told me that she didn't want to keep me waiting because their card reader wasn't working properly, and that she'll just collect it during my next visit. Overall I spent about a total of 2 hours at his office (but a lot of it was NOT due to waiting) and had a wonderful experience where I know my health is in good hands with Dr. Rahimi and his staff!

My wife and I moved to North Dallas about three and a half years ago. We never had allergy problems…read morebefore we arrived but we both suffered with symptoms right after we arrived. We tried all the over the counter meds and my wife went to a pulmonary doc who got here some relieve with an inhaler. All hit and miss stuff. Our regular doctor told us our conditions were almost identical. so, we decided to see a specialist and Yelp help us select Dr. Rahimi. That turn out to be a good choice. Our first appointment was very comprehensive and lasted almost two hours. We had all kinds of tests for allergies and breathing abilities. Our technician was very pleasant and thoughtful. At the end of our tests Dr. Rahimi met with us and discussed the results. He scheduled us for blood tests to further investigate our problems. In the meantime he prescribed some OTC products for me and some prescription items for my wife. It has been three weeks since our first appointment and one week since our second. We are both experiencing relief of our symptoms. I would not hesitate to refer Dr. Rahimi and his clinic to friends and family. They are good people!

Easy enough to call and schedule an appointment. They answered right away. I was able to get a date…read morewithin a week. They will have you complete a lot of paperwork in advance online. You will need to download the Healow app which is prt of their care portal. They will send you an email with a code and a link for access. Despite doing the paperwork online in advance, when I arrived at the facility, they had me fill out more paperwork on actual paper forms and some of it seemed like a duplicate of what I already did online. I didn't even finish it until AFTER my appointment was over! Good or bad, hard to say. Bad because, "Why I am I filling out these forms if the doctor isn't even bothering to review the information prior to my appointment??? Was it even necessary since she didn't look at them?" On the flip side, I wasn't in the waiting room long. I was called back right away for my appointment and seen by the doctor right away. The medical assistant who took me back put my blood pressure cuff on my wrist as soon as I entered the room and sat down. She talked to me the entire time it was inflating. No surprise my blood pressure was high! Why bother taking this measurement if you aren't going to bother doing the procedure correctly???? The visit with the doctor was so quick. I feel like I was in the room for less than ten minutes and with the doctor for less than five minutes. She sprayed some lidocaine in my nose to numb it and then proceeded to stick a narrow tube with a camera on the end down my nose to view and comment on the status of my throat. She had an assistant that recorded notes on a laptop as the doctor explained what she saw on the scope. She quickly explained my condition, gave me a sheet for further reading, said a prescription would be sent in and told me to meet with a different doctor in 6-8 weeks. While she did ask me if I had any questions, it went by so quickly, I didn't have time to process what she said in order to ask any questions. It really felt like a "wham-bam-thank-you-ma'am" moment. Afterwards, I waited a few hours before contacting the pharmacy about my prescription. Nothing was received. The next day, I checked again - still nothing. I had to call the clinic multiple times to get through to anyone to follow up. Thankfully they called in the prescription at that point and I was able to pick it up two days after my initial appointment. No one is going to advocate for your care except for you. This place is a well oiled machine, but they are very process focused. Since insurance billing probably has them on a tight clock, don't expect warm fuzzies. Come with your questions prepared. Do your research in advance so you will know what to ask. Arrive early to complete the additional paperwork that no one will look at. Be sure to tell the medical assistant that you want 5-10 minutes sitting quietly before she takes a reading and that you won't be answering any questions while the cuff is inflating. Thankfully I have been pawned off on another doctor at a different clinic for my 4-6 week follow up, so I won't need to go through this again.

They told me they couldn't see me!! I called their main line after leaving to complain and they even told me that the next time slot was open and they should have taken me. That made me even more mad. I will never return. What horrible customer service. The girl at the counter could have cared less when she told me too. She actually asked if I wanted another appt and I told her don't bother because I won't be back. She just said okay.
